Absolutely lovely, had an amazing time for my partners birthday! Everyone treated us so nice and the food!!! That was the best part, 100% recommend
It was really busy but with a nice atmosphere. The food fantastic and surprisingly good value for money. I couldn’t recommend this restaurant eneough!
A very nice evening meal. There was a little problem, but it was readily sorted out by the Team, such that it didn’t spoil the occasion. No hesitation in recommending The Ivy, Clifton
We had a wonderful late lunch / early supper with our son and his girlfriend and will definitely be back
We went to The Ivy for a birthday lunch and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Excellent service - thank you - good food and a great ambience. We’ll be back.
Enjoyed a lovely Sunday afternoon in great surroundings with attentive staff.
Went for a Birthday lunch and the food was amazing and service was excellent, staff were friendly
Compared to The Ivy in Cardiff, Clifton was very average. Food was no different to that in a pub. The table although having been cleaned was very stained and smeary. Toilets lacked hand gel..
The restaurant was half empty but we were given a very small table in a very cramped corner.
Lovely breakfast with very efficient service. Thoroughly enjoyable experience.
Really lovely evening. Excellent menu and lovely food. Staff really polite and helpful. Good atmosphere.
We always enjoyed our time at the Ivy. I feel the menu is not changed often enough and we had to send our coke back as it was flat this was not the first time this has happened. We just felt a little bit flat this time.
Great food and service, will definitely return when next in Bristol
Beautiful restaurant, excellent service, we had the duck curry which was really good, however portion sizes were quite small, also not happy paying for service charge, l think that should be left to the diner to decide, and the wine was very pricey
However we had a really lovely time and would definitely return
Beautiful experience from the moment we arrived. Thank you team Ivy for making mum’s birthday so memorable.
Excellent service and atmosphere. Would have liked a Chocolate éclair or vanilla slice.
The Ivy was busy and seemed like it was understaffed, food was warm but not hot, I cannot really blame the staff as nobody was standing still doing nothing, just one of those days I think.
We had a very enjoyable meal, but found it stressful not having the phone number of the venue. Being elderly we took the bus, and as the local busses were not running to time, were worried that we would not arrive in time for our meal. Even with our mobile phone we did not have a number we could call to let them know we were on our way. The start of our day was stressful but overall it was a good day out.
The Ivy is a lovely place to be for that special meal / occasion.
We had wanted to thank our Mum for looking after our house ; which allowed us to go on a much needed holiday .
The Ivy was recommended by a friend and we were glad we had taken up his recommendation .
The Ivy has been decorated with imagination and the ambiance is just right .
Our server ( Denisha ) was a credit to the company & made our experience at the Ivy a very memorable one .
The only negative , was my husband’s steak which was not warm . This was rectified at once with a completely new meal . He assured me that it was cooked just the way he wanted it . Overall, i can’t wait for another excuse to visit the Ivy in Clifton , Bristol .
Thank you .
The whole experience was a great one for all four of us. Beautifully furnished and appointed in the rear dining room. Great menu with plenty of choice. Service
very efficient and pleasant - very ice young lady looked after us faultlessly.
Final touch of lighted candle in an eclair was greatly appreciated by my daughter
whose birthday it was. The food was rated as delicious by all present.
Many many thanks.
Previous visits to the Ivy a couple of years ago had been fantastic high end experiences deftly hitting the sweet spot between top end quality in a relaxed atmosphere. Yesterday’s visit was very far from that.
Main courses came out tepid warm not hot.
Rose wine was room temperature.
Had ticked Birthday when booking via Open Table and despite two staff mentioning about something happening (we really didn’t expect anyone to do anything) by the end of the evening they seem to have forgotten it. Not sure if it was too much bother for the remaining staff, but seemed a very odd way to behave. We really wouldn’t have thought twice about just saying “happy birthday” and leaving it at that. Don’t raise expectations if you aren’t going to deliver!!
Sadly a birthday meal which did not get anywhere close to expectations.
Amazing food, beautiful surroundings.
The Chocolate Bomb is incredible
Dinner with close friends
Food, service, ambience excellent as previous visits.
I am a great fan of the Ivy and its ambience and food. But since I travel to go to the Ivy in Bristol I don't want to be in the conservatory add on. I go to the Ivy for its design and building not to sit somewhere generic. Next time I will ask to sit in the main room as that is amazing.
Beautiful venue- super meal - well priced but would prefer to organise our own tipping - service charge high.
Best breakfast ever. Enjoyed every mouthful. What a treat ❤️
Great venue and superb value food. A real treat. Recommended.
The service n food were reasonably good. Enjoyable evening
It's always a good experience, a meal at the Ivy. The elegant atmosphere sets the tone, and the impeccable service would make even beans on toast a special event!
Lovely food - excellent service - great ambience. The chocolate bomb was amazing ! Shepherds pie was delicious.
A perfect 60th birthday celebration.
Sophisticated yet relaxed. Wide choice of food from favourites like shepherd's pie to modern international like warm duck salad. A special place for a special occasion. I loved it.
Lovely as always
The Salt and pepper squid was very over cooked and it was a grey colour which would indicate it was not fresh or possibly frozen. I had an upset stomach after the Monkfish curry. My wife’s scallops were almost cold and had no seasoning and no flavour. Also my wife’s beef Tartar was very bland and tasteless, she left it. Also she requested a glass of wine around 10.45pm and was refused and told the bar was closed! So not a good experience it’s a shame
as we used to come a few years ago and it felt special and
the food was good. It really seems to have gone down hill. Shame!
As always, great staff, service and ambience. Perfect for special occasions. No one wore a mask when moving around which was disappointing.
First time at the Ivy and it didn’t disappoint. A good range of food on the menu with a range of prices.
The atmosphere was relaxed with a low level of noise. We could certainly hold a conversation easily.
Our waitress was friendly, helpful and attentive.
I would definitely go again.
Beautiful and tasteful interior. Comfortable seats and table. Food was mostly tasty and came well presented and we were full by the end. Surprisingly low prices for food and drink. Only issue is that there was a real lack of vegetarian options on the main menu - only two. I had the halloumi and I have to say it seemed like an easy option to put on a menu when you have no inspiration. It wasn't particularly memorable. Other food was good though. Plenty of veggie starters and side dishes though.
The food was good but simple thing’s like brown lettuce ends let it down.
The service was not offensive but I didn’t feel very welcome
Loved the service and place. Staff were so lovely and helpful especially regarding our birthday cake! Food was awful. I had the squid and pigs cheeks. Squid was mushy not crispy and no hint of salt n pepper. Pigs cheeks were tasteless, mash tasted like a ready meal and the gravy/jus like bisto with a spoonful of mustard in it. Very disappointing. Was so hungry I ate some of it and didn’t complain as was edible but definitely not what I expected. Felt very ready meal like. Staff as I say we’re amazing and loved the atmosphere and setting.
My daughter 21st birthday. All the staff was all lovely wishing her a happy birthday. Made her feel abit special.
