Great to be dining out with social interaction at last, the perfect venue to enjoy the first day back to the new norm! Thank you #theivycliftonbrasserie we had a lovely evening......😊
Awesome post lockdown experience.
Lovely restaurant with a nice atmosphere. Service was excellent and the food very good. As it was the last evening service before the coronavirus shutdown it was a little unusual so am looking forward to a more normal visit!
The staff were attentive and the environment was relaxing. Afternoon tea was a delight!
We love Afternoon Tea, and this was as good as The Savoy London.
Lovely building in which to enjoy a leisurely lunch. Food was very good quality, beautifully presented. Staff very pleasant, efficient and welcoming. Beers were a little on the pricey side but overall it was a perfect lunch and I would highly recommend
The menu has changed and 2 of my wife’s favourites were no longer available.
Other choices were therefore made and all the food was very good as usual.
Maybe the service was a fraction down on this visit but that could just be my feeling on the day
Fabulous afternoon tea as a birthday treat. Good table service and prompt service
We had a Birthday Lunch on Sunday for my wife together with a couple of our best friends.
A great restaurant, brilliant food and fantastic service. A special thank you to Rosalind who looked after us really well.
Very good quality but a bit pricey - breakfast for two £40 !
Service was very good on what turned out to be a busy night at the restaurant.
The ribeye steak I had was good but I would have expected more from an Ivy restaurant.
Starter and desert were excellent.
Wine and cocktail thoroughly enjoyable.
As always, the atmosphere and surroundings were excellent.
A group of 8 met on a Saturday night from 7 - 10.00pm. We were very well looked after and the meal well received by all. The noise level was OK for conversation and much better than many places these days.
Very good food,service and surroundings.
Would prefer lower noise level
Great venue & service. Only slight issue is value for money, £64 for three breakfasts is a little steep
Good food, excellent service. Look and feel of the place was great and an experience on itself. Only one small remark: a wardrobe to hang your coat would be nice.
Outstanding food and service. Will definitely return.
We went for our wedding anniversary lunch. The food was delicious and good drinks. Staff were friendly and efficient.
We had a great lunch celebration, glad we came at 12 , became very busy and bit noisy later on, still very enjoyable , my burger lunch was excellent, service attentive and polite without overbearing , we loved the attention to detail on everything, our needs anticipated without having to ask , if I had one niggle , the stairs to the ladies were bit steep for us , with slight mobility issues ,should have asked for a disabled toilet , will know for next time , and we will be back
Really warm welcome, extremely attentive staff who went out of their way to make sure our evening was excellent. Food was delicious - we had a great time.
Very attentive staff and nice food. Enjoyed our visit
Excellent food and a wonderful waiter. I believe his name is Markus. He was perfect. Attentive without overdoing it. Very kind to me, as my friend was late arriving. One of the best waiters I have ever met.
I love The Ivy, Clifton.
The Girls at the desk very polite and helpful.
Thanks for a lovely experience for my 60th Birthday best regards Paolo
Lovely place all round
Celebtatong Mother in laws birthday
superb decor and ambience along with great food. We went along for a lunchtime birthday celebration and had a wonderful lunch at a fair price, in a lovely building
It was my husband’s birthday and just the two of us. The staff were excellent and the food was delicious. Our waiter was very charming and helpful
Two in our party ordered a Shepherd's Pie which was on the Daily Special List. Order was taken but after a while we were told that there was only one Shepherd Pie - so we changed our order for one of us. Then we were told that there were no Shepherd Pies at all - so we all ordered something else. But when the bill came we were charged for a Shepherd Pie that was nowhere to be seen! But this was a nice looking restaurant with a good ambience.
Very nice lunch for my son and I - he was visiting from London.
This was my second visit. I booked it for my Mum's 70th birthday dinner, specifically because of the decor in the main room. We were initially a little disappointed that it was thought appropriate for a 70th birthday guest to be placed on a cramped sofa table in the back corner of the boisterously loud conservatory. However, our request for a table in the main room was instantly met and our experience from then was second to none. The staff were exemplary, and it was everything I would expect from a first class establishment. I'll be coming back.
Excellent! Lovely food, great service. Have already booked my next visit. Thank you
It was like going to a regular and favourite restaurant: warm welcome, prompt and smiling service and wonderful attention to detail. The wine list offers a spread of interesting wines and the menu includes interesting and innovative dishes as well as traditional favourites, all beautifully presented.
Fantastic afternoon, lovely food and atmosphere. The staff were fantastic and made our afternoon very special
Fantastic male server, just the right amount of attentiveness who was friendly and put us at ease. Complementary dessert for our anniversary was such a fabulous touch. Highly recommend.
Had a lovely evening celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary. There was a bar (small) to have a pre-dinner drink at, which made an enjoyable start to the evening. We had requested a nice table and indeed we got one. The atmosphere was great in there - busy -it was obviously fully booked - but without feeling overcrowded. The waitress was very lovely and after dessert they surprised us with 2 little celebration cakes with a candle and happy anniversary chocolate. The food was very good and we will definitely go back.
My girlfriends and I spent the weekend in Bristol. Dined at the ivy twice
As always food delicious service and welcome impeccable ... the Atlantic scallops were to die for. As was the classic signature Shepard’s pie ! Also the duck salad with watermelon so yummy ... zucchini Fritti is a must too.
Cocktails amazing as are the guys behind the bar.
Brunch .. Bloody Mary’s are fab eggs Benedict royal .. fish cake with runny poached egg ... heaven
Thank u to Mimo and his staff... first class professional friendly service
The place was lovely, but the food was average and the service was rushed. Also it was my husband 50th birthday but no effort was made to make him feel special
Stunning setting with faultless food. We received great service from our waitress. Only negative would be no draft beer/larger and drinks a bit pricey but can't wait to return for more divine food!
Food was lovely but not the same ambience as Cardiff restaurant. Just little things like coat being taken at door then given ticket instead of put on seats. Had to wait at door for a while as no staff available.
Found being tucked in corner was just too noisey for conversation. Also there was a bad smell where we were sat and on leaving found it was coming from a picture frame on the wall which put a dampener on the brunch as was for my birthday.
Lovely food, deceptively large portions! Service was great.
Fantastic venue with beautiful surroundings and lovely ambience. Perfect catch up with friends with gorgeous food.
