milk / mint / white
Hand chopped beef striploin with Tabasco dressing, cornichon, shallot, parsley, egg yolk and thick cut chips
Melting chocolate bombe with milk foam, vanilla ice cream and honeycomb centre with hot salted caramel sauce
My biggest criticism is lack of time . We felt rushed with no time for coffee.
Would make me rethink before booking again.
A lovely lunch with excellent service
Great food and fantastic service from our waitress Samantha.
The food was absolutely delicious we loved it! The service was great, I do have a but however, which is our table for two was really small and ended up a bit overcrowded with a bottle of water, wine and the side dishes that came with the mains. Noise level was quite high with music and let’s say enthusiastic other diners. The staff kindly ordered a taxi for us and we asked for the bill at the same time. I can only think the taxi was already outside as we got the bill, rushed to pay it quickly without realising the service charge was already included and left a tip anyway, our fault I know as we were rushing, but meant a rather generous amount left and nothing said to correct our over generosity.
Really enjoyable experience, attentive waiting staff good ambience.
Friendly staff, lovely food and super service, thank you.
Our first visit since the pandemic and delighted that standards have remained very high. We went there for a celebration and had a memorable evening. Old favourites were eaten and enjoyed. It goes without saying that we will be back the next time we are in Bristol
Amazing food. So delicious and filling. And the cocktails were also a very vast range and delicious. The place is so beautiful and the service fantastic…
Last week I went to the Ivy in Bath and was appalled by the service especially by the maitr de
I was pleasantly impressed with the staff and service at the Clifton Ivy but will not be eating at the Ivy in Bath again
The food at the Ivy is unbelievably average.
Cocktails are great, ambiance is great.
The restaurant is beautiful and a lovely venue for a treat. The staff were welcoming and attentive. I was a little disappointed with the food, there was nothing wrong with it but it wasn’t anything special either. I spent £90 on a birthday lunch for 2 for my daughter and it was a very average meal.
Lovely ambience, comfortable seating ( I'm 6ft 4 " ), great service, however, we thought our pots of coffee weren't hot enough, although we had a very enjoyable experience.
We ordered a full English breakfast and pancakes. The full English breakfast was average, but the pancakes were not up to the mark. Anyhow we managed to eat it and ended up with an upset stomach.
Atmosphere and service were good though
Great food as always ❤️
Excellent experience. We thoroughly enjoyed everything.
Lovely venue. Friendly attentive service. A shame that the heating didn’t cope with the cold conditions.
The sommelier was helpful . Would recommend .
Didn’t get a very good table considering I booked our anniversary meal a month or so ago also the meal was very rushed, no sooner had the starter plates been taken away the main meals were brought out, would have preferred to have had time to refill our glasses first. Having said that it’s a lovely building and we have had good experiences in other Ivy restaurants we have eaten in so we will put this down to a one off.
Very friendly welcome and shown to our table in lower level room. Nice choice of cocktails and decent wine list
Warm Sourdough loaf is a great start along with Puglian Primitivo. Good selection of starters but we went straight to mains. GF had the Cod cooked in banana leaf was very moist and tasty, delicious she says. I had filet steak with a giant ravioli & red wine sauce, truffle & Parmesan chips. All very delicious and perfectly cooked.
The Fig & Pistachio feuillete with a yoghurt sorbet was amazing and the mini mince pies with brandy cream were also very good. Will definitely be going back again for more delicious dishes.
Fantastic food and cocktails
Not a cheap night but amazing experience.
Went the extra mile for our anniversary
Lovely atmosphere, staff very knowledgeable and friendly. Our starters were good but not outstanding (duck salad..... Bit fatty, and pumpkin soup..... A bit watery, not as flavoursome as would expect) but mains and pudding were delicious. Overall a lovely experience, and would visit again
Bar staff was excellent, food superb all in all great place to dine. Will be back very soon.
Very nice setting ,good food and excellent service
Well worth a visit
Excellent service. Food was great. Very tasty, well presented and great value. Thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Service was great too.
I booked a champagne afternoon tea to celebrate a friend’s 40th. The experience, food and drinks at The Ivy was amazing. We had such a lovely time. Staff were friendly and professional. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you.
We were sat by the door which was very draughty and cold. We couldn’t take our coats off.
Service was very poor. Afternoon tea served without side plates and correct cutlery. I had to ask fir these.
Tea pots only held 1 and a half cups of tea. We asked for refills 3 times.
Noone checked if our meal was good.
What a shame ! So looking forward to using my 50th birthday voucher ~ trouble with the heating and The Ivy was freezing!! We had to put our coats back on ~ this totally spoiled the whole experience for me :((
It was very busy ~ the bread on the cucumber sandwich was dry and the scones were half the size of the previous time I had been
The afternoon tea was beautifully presented. Excellent service. Restaurant was busy with a good atmosphere.
We had afternoon tea and it was all lovely, wasn’t keen on the small smoothie with it we would have preferred another item. Waitress was very attentive and helpful. It was a cold day which spoilt the experience as it was very chilly and some of us wore our coats.
Had a lovely time as always, however I did have to ask for the heating to be turned up as the restaurant was so cold I thought I was going to need to wear my coat.
Lovely staff, nothing too much trouble. Care taken with the food, reasonably priced. Fabulous setting , my wife loved the restroom. Definitely will be going again.
Perfect! Food was great and the service was first class.
Lovely food, great service and lovely atmosphere!!
Fabulous food. We enjoyed the Christmas menu and it was delicious. Great service too
The service was slow. We sat for over 20 minutes waiting for someone to take our order for food although our waiter was very friendly. Our second round of drinks was forgotten about at the bar and needed a prompt by our waiter who did apologise. There were lots of staff buzzing around but some seem to like to chat to each other than look out for customers who were trying to catch our attention.
Disappointed by the poor choice of lunch time food on the menu. Three of us chose Fish and chips and none of us could eat it as too greasy.
What a fantastic treat for my sisters birthday. Outstanding service and food. The staff are absolutely delightful and cannot do enough for you. Good was great.
First time eatting at The Ivy and was a little disappointed. The venue itself is beautiful and the atmosphere was nice, however the food was cold and the coffee was tepid, certainly not the wow factor I was expecting.
We had a very nice meal. Food always good and service to match. All good 👍
As always a fabulous evening with delicious food and great service. Always a lovely evening.
It’s so lovely there, friendly staff and beautiful dishes but we were really rushed, our main was served within 30 mins of arriving and they swapped our starter for our main all in one go. We couldn’t finish the main because we’d barely finished swallowing our starter.
Such a shame as it was a important evening for us and we really wanted to celebrate but we were home within an hour and a half of our table booking so felt like it was a waste of money/night.
