Ivy Clifton Brasserie
Open seven days a week, The Ivy Clifton Brasserie offers accessible all day dining for local residents, businesses, shoppers and visitors to the area, and brings some of the familiarity of The Ivy brand to ceaselessly chic Clifton Village. Tables are held back for walk-ins allowing locals to drop in throughout the day at their leisure, and the menus are all encompassing, serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, afternoon tea, light snacks and dinner; not to mention a specially created cocktail menu featuring a variety of classic and contemporary selections.
The Ivy Clifton Brasserie has been designed to deliver the memorable experience that is synonymous with The Ivy’s unique style, in a more relaxed and accessible environment.
Special lunch for us and it was made special by your staff .. thank you
This is the first time I have experienced poor service at the Ivy. The service was incredibly slow, items requested were often not brought to the table until the 3rd or 4th request.
Overall, "Excellent". If i can leave you with the one "less good" bit of feedback (!), the tapwater (which we had in addition to our normal drinks and coffees) was a bit odorous: I wonder if it might be possible to filter it / chill it (?). Otherwise - all great stuff!
Great service, delicious food, relaxing ambience
This is my fourth trip to the Ivy Bristol and every time has been a fabulous experience
Wonderful atmpsphere for a special celebration. Staff showed great attention to detail and oh yes the important bit, we all really enjoyed the food we chose. Thanks for a lovely evening.
Very nice cakes for afternoon tea. However for the price (very expensive afternoon tea) I did not think we were made to feel special, particularly given at the booking I had to specify the occasion I.e my friends birthday. The table was extremely small so the cake stand was directly in my line of sight so I could not see my friend whilst we were talking.
Chose the 2 course menu and had the sea bream as main. Presentation was good but it was too much cooked! Quite dry! I normally have no hesitation to return but as we were celebrating our son’s graduation, I didn’t as didn’t want to spoil the atmosphere. Mentioned it to waitress while she was clearing the table. She was apologetic. We then ordered double expresso which came in too big cups and coffee was luck warm. By then I thought what is the point....asked for the bill and don’t plan to come again
My waitress Cressida was so so lovely and completely made our ivy experience with her extensive knowledge, helpfulness and kindness. 10/10 from me.
A touch of glamour. Excellent food and service ambience, decor, flowers, etc. They had even made special desserts for the graduations being celebrated that week. Very thoughtful. Would revisit in a flash.
Very enjoyable meal to celebrate our son's graduation. Loved the special graduation dessert.
Absolutely incredible! There was no faults to the whole experience! Food was delicious and the service was impeccable. Highly recommend and definitely worth the price.
Overall very pleasant evening but the creamed spinach was disappointing - very watery and tasteless, like chopped frozen spinach.
Enjoyed our post-graduation lunch and was an overall great experience. Definitely a great space and close to what I was used to from London.
Arrived at lunchtime, was shown to seats but then ignored for 15 minutes! Food was slow, we were offered snacks, meals arrived, I had a steak that was as thin as a wafer, but oozing blood do had not been tested, it also tasted greasy. The chips were also over cooked and greasy! Very expensive lunch and very underwhelming! Not recommended!
We booked a table at The Ivy Clifton on a Wednesday evening. We arrived and were quickly taken to our table. The service was good. The food was delicious. We thought we'd need sides without mains, but we didn't. It left room for dessert. The ambience was good. I liked the high ceilings of the former bank and the artwork was on a theme of transport. I would definitely go again.
I’ve been to The Ivy Bristol a number of times since it’s opened and feel it’s due a bit of an upgrade of ideas. Tables and the seating needs a revamp, some good seating and some really poor seating areas. The menu a little dated. I will come back but a man can only come back so many times 😃
Fave BRISTOL eatery. Great food in a relaxed environment.
Good brunch menu
Service was superb and and food excellent. Starters and main courses were of a very high standard.
My only quibble was with the desserts where theatre and show trumps taste, and they were a little over sweet. The 'frozen berries' really are frozen and difficult to eat, the hot white chocolate sauce is insufficeintly hot to soften them.
That is small downside in an otherwise highly enjoyable visit.
The atmosphere was great; vibrant and colourful but civilised. But that is where the praise ends. We waited 30 minutes just for a drink. Another 30 minutes for the first course. And the food was definitely not worth the ridiculously long wait. The food is essentially pub food. It's ok - but don't expect anything that will distract you from your conversation.
Th staff who did attend were perfectly courteous although one did forget an entire drinks order. But they were invisible for almost the entire night.
Lively restaurant although a little disappointed as in the booking form they ask if there are any special request/occasions. I put on the form it’s a birthday, upon arrival they confirmed the birthday but didn’t acknowledge nothing by way of a cake or drink etc?
Never been before, will definitely be going back, all three of us thought the food was fantastic and the service was exceptional especially Suzi..
Great service as always you never disappoint
Amazing food and service, the steak was cooked to perfection. We’ve already booked to go back!
Lovely evening celebrating my birthday. Staff were very attentive & polite. Service was prompt and we were not rushed. Wonderful food and reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend.
Exceptional service and food. Very good all round, will highly recommend.
Great food for a reasonable price. We were treated exceptionally by the staff. Having previously gone to sketch in London we were impressed that our experience was nearly on par and for a better price. I'll be recommending the brasserie to my friends
It’s a great place to take friends for a treat, which is what we did. Presentation of the food is excellent.
It was our Wedding Anniversary (22 years)
We asked for a table in the Orangery/Garden room and got table 51 it was brilliant.
Alessandro looked after us and did a great job.
Food was excellent, I chose a Sirloin Steak and my wife had the Sea Bass.
Thank you to The Ivy for a fantastic evening.
You won’t regret booking a table at the Ivy! The cocktail menu is great and the food is so delicious, it was a very tough choice! Great atmosphere, smart but very friendly. I will definitely be back!
We were given a gift voucher for dining at The Ivy Brasserie Clifton and the food was very well presented and delicious. The atmosphere is just right and a jazz band playing background music was appreciated. We will be back!
Absolute perfection I've booked the ivy Chelsea garden now for wifes birthday it's such quality and delicious food 10/10
Thank you for our lovely evening.
We came on our 25th wedding anniv. / your 2nd anniv.
My wife picked an envelope and won a meal for two for another occasion.
So, we came for her Birthday on Thursday 11th.
Jazz trio followed by nice background music.
Great ambience, hubub.
Service attentive polite and efficient.
Food was fabulous. The lemon sole to die for.
Value suberb. Lol
Really good service. Only mild criticism would be I asked for Prosecco on arrival as it was our wedding anniversary and it didn’t come until we ordered. Food and service was excellent to be fair.
Great service from the London office reservation team; though I had to ask the waiter three times for some sauce to accompany my meal. Food otherwise good, and we appreciate the additional (tiny) raspberry tarte to commemorate my boyfriend's birthday.
I have made our reservation in advance and called a day before advising the reason we coming for dinner is my fiance birthday. To my suprise there was zero acknowlegement of the special occasion. When advised of that to one of the seniors, was assured I will receive an email with apologies. Nothing received yet. We eat there previously and a I know that they provide a little candle in the dessert to make the dinner a bit more special. However not this time.
Even my request for a quiet table or away from other was completely ignored at confirming reservation. Apart from food, very disappointed with the service and the whole evening spent in the restaurant.
A very pleasant experience to celebrate my 80th birthday and our 53rd wedding anniversary. Our very first afternoon tea!
I was very impressed with our recent visit to the restaurant. The atmosphere was very nice and the service was excellent. The food was good and we will return again
Excellent flavour and well cooked. Brought as quickly as you would expect. Lovely setting, beautiful building and restaurant. Attentive and kind service staff. The only slight criticism would be portion size and drink size for the price paid but that is as you would expect.
