The Ivy Clifton Brasserie has been designed to deliver the memorable experience that is synonymous with The Ivy’s unique style, in a more relaxed and accessible environment.
Great setting and ambiance. Waiting staff were very polite. Unfortunately, we thought the food quality did not match the price. A shame as it was our anniversary and I’d heard it is a great place for special occasions.
The service was great and food wonderful. The tables were a little close together for couples and difficult in some places for the waiters to pass with the large trays of food.
Very special place/ location, gorgeous food, attentive service and made me feel special on my birthday. Highly recommended! Thank you.
Excellent visit with family. Took my parents there for the first time and they loved it. Suitable for all ages with a great choice of food on the brunch menu. Lovely experience. Would highly recommend.
Really lovely place to be we went to have morning brunch for my fiancé’s birthday, not the kind of place to go all of the time as it feels more special to go as a one off but would highly recommend, the interior itself is beautiful and creates a great atmosphere.
I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner at The Ivy but there were a few problems with the service. Starters were served apart from one which we had to wait at least 10 minutes for. We wanted to eat as a group of people rather than as and when the food arrived. I asked for a coffee and a separate glass of cointreau but they combined the coffee with the cointreau - they did apologise. I did pay the full service charge as it was my special birthday and didn't want the embarrassment of saying the service wasn't good enough which is something I should have done. However, I will return again and hopefully this will have improved.
I booked months ago for my wife’s birthday, due to unforeseen circumstances I had 2 guests to add to the booking, I did this by speaking to the central reservation team and directly with the restaurant. When I arrived for our 7.15pm booking they had no record, the arrogant Spanish lady on reception all book called me a liar and rudely told us to “just wait at the bar”. The Manager came to see us, apologized but said we would have to wait for a table, over 30 minutes later we were seated with a round of complimentary drinks which we appreciated but it doesn’t take away what happened. The restaurant was busy and is obviously popular but don’t lose perspective and don’t underestimate how poor customer service can quickly become low footfall.
Frozen chips at 3.95 burger £18.95 would not return very loud with people talking yes i know but not conclusive to a romantic meal maybe you're marketing wetherspoons, waiter made a mistake in pouring our wine to a different table wife confronted him and he admitted the mistake and offered another glass of wine well since we paid for the bottle why wouldn't he offer to replace it, it was resolved with a grates martin/coffee so nothing was given away or received.
We may try the Cardiff venue when it opens

Wonderful meal wonderful service excellent
Only negative is no hand towel in loos but other wise loved it x
Lovely place my friend loved it as it was a surprise for her birthday the food was lovely and the service but the drinks are very expensive £30 for 3 glasses of wine ouch
Overall was a very nice experience, food good and not too long a wait for it.
My only criticism was the table for 2 felt very cramped with the table next to us a little close.
reasonably priced for that type of eatery.
Great location , extremely slow service , we had an 8:30pm reservation , we didn’t get our main course until 10:15 pm , added to that had to chase drinks ordered throughout the evening
Very disappointing and uncomfortable. We booked a table for 4 on the 21st October in good time for November 8th. We were surprised to find ourselves seated in front of the main door and exposed to very cold draughts each time people gathered in the entrance and the door was opened (frequently). Our friends, who were also at your restaurant at the same time as us, said they booked a similar table at a later date and were comfortably placed elsewhere.
Exceedingly noisy, customers packed in like sardines with hardly a gap between tables. My starter salad was delicious, however the lamb was mediocre - stringy with minimal flavour.
This was our fourth Ivy experience, the others being Bath and Edinburgh, and certainly not up to standard.
Bar and waiting staff were fabulous.
Birthday meal -,ruined ! Waited over 45 mink Fof main course - when appeared it was cold Welrgyv
To celebrate our daughters 21st birthday wanted to pick an experience that she would remember. Although the service was good, the food let it down. The main meals were luke warm. Expressed to the waiter that we were not 100% happy, were offered coffee at the end of the meal. Meals need to be hot ! Thank you.
Very friendly service, menu super choice, food great flavour, well presented. Only grumble re good, Lamb dish , potato and veg was hot but lamb was disappointingly cool.
What I most disliked was the position of our table for two. It was so close to the neighbouring tables we might as well have been sharing their table, conversations were far from private. This would put me off booking again if just for two.
Had lunch at The Ivy in Clifton.
Food was excellent and lovely ambience.
Food isn’t cheap but would highly recommend.
My only criticism is that cheese offered on the menu is stored in the refrigerator and not ready to be ate at room temperature when ordered. Didn’t expect that from a restaurant of this standard.
Amazing meal! Both my mother and I both told the waitress it was one of the best meals we’ve had out in a long time. Food isn’t cheap but well worth it - beautiful crispy duck starter I would thoroughly recommend. Compliments the to chef ! We will be back.
My first visit and wouldn’t be my last. Beautiful building, fantastic staff and wonderful food. All very good value for the money. Staff very attentive and nothing too much trouble. Even presented us with two mini cakes as it was our wedding anniversary. Little touches like that do mean a lot.
We were shown straight to our table, within few minutes the waitress asked us for our drinks order and if we would like some water for the table, after placing our food order we were eating the starters within 12 minutes, plenty of choices on the menu for every dietary needs, every member of staff that was involved with our booking was warm friendly and welcoming.
Excellent. We love this place and will definitely be seeing you soon
Birthday meal for my mum. Food was very tasty and good value. Great wine selection. Server was attentive, even gave a small dessert with a candle to celebrate.
Beautiful venue excellent service
Highly recommendable but need to book far in advance
As parents of a daughter celebrating her 18th birthday, we really appreciated the care and attention that was shown to her by staff. It was lovely for her to be wished Happy Birthday on our arrival and a special touch to give a complimentary cake and candle. We had a lovely lunch with you - thank you.
my friends and I had a lovely breakfast here. even gave my friend a special birthday treat, nice touch :-)
Pleasant surroundings providing an enjoyable atmosphere
Celebrated a birthday and had a very lovely time. Even though it was a busy Sunday, the service and food quality was equal to that which we had exprerienced on a weekday. Has become our new favourite place to eat.
Fantastic service and beautiful breakfast. Would highly recommend and will be visiting again!
Wonderful, as always. Can’t fault the food, service, decor or ambience.
Loved the food and the atmosphere but our wine waiter went AWOL on a couple of occasions and we were left to ask for a top up (he took the bottle away each time), which kind of riled us, particularly when servicr charge wasn't optional! Very pricey but worth it for a treat.
Despite being a horrible wet night, we were soon cheered up by our dinner at the Ivy. Food and cocktails were excellent, as were our waiting staff. A Lovely experience all round.
Delightful dining experience complimented by attentive professional staff. Have eaten here several times and yet to be in any way disappointed.
Elegant surroundings with excellent service. Makes one feel valued.
I need mention the not so warm or friendly welcome from the host. Abrupt and rude, not even a smile. However, the food was delicious and table service was warm and friendly, adding to the dining experience which was at first disappointing.
Atmosphere was lovely, felt like a 'special' place, service was good and food was of a good standard....however too many dishes served with 'chips' and drinks were over priced. Our table was close to another which interrupted conversation from time to time. Not quite the experience I was expecting....but then maybe I had too high standard.
Once again lovely food with excellent staff. It was a shame that my friend didn’t have a little birthday cake from them especially as 2 other ladies in the room did. I guess they didn’t have anything gluten free to give her even though I had given them plenty of notice.
Lovely experience, decor is art deco/shipping and transport based, service was excellent, food and wine both very good and all staff very well trained and professional. Location in Clifton is excellent. I've been to the original Ivy but i prefer this one.
Had a superb afternoon tea at the Ivy, was utterly outstanding. Great food, great service and wonderful atmosphere. Would definitely recommend the afternoon tea.
