Took a friend for a special birthday lunch - we were both so impressed and can not wait to go back again. It was brilliant, so light and airy with beautiful food and the service was outstanding
Lovely venue, nice food, Third visit and would go again
Lovely experience in a stylish restaurant. We were well looked after by very attentive staff
One of the best meals I have ever had - anywhere in the world. Outstanding.
What a treat. Given voucher as a gift went Tuesday for lunch. Opted set menu, food was amazing, flavour, presentation just delicious. Service first class, overall fabulous!
Had a perfect meal to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary. Amazing food, great service and lovely setting. We will be returning
I’v been before and enjoyed my meal . So invited my friend for her 60th . She had a great time and love the food . Now she will invite family and friends too . The staff are very helpful and friendly.
Having dinner at he Ivy felt very special, the staff looked after our every need. We all thought the food was different, and very tasty.
If everywhere served to this standard, I'd eat out more often!
Unfortunately, whilst the food here was very nice, we experienced such poor service, that we had to complain to the manager. We went for a birthday brunch treat, but the whole thing was spoiled by the rubbish service. On arrival the waitress took our drinks order and then disappeared. After around 20 mins she finally returned and asked us for our food order. A further ten mins later, our drinks finally arrived. However when I poured the milk into my cup of tea, it was off and there were lots of bits of stale milk floating on the surface! I eventually managed to gain the attention of the waitress and asked for a new one. She hesitantly took it away and that was the last I saw of my cup of tea! She never returned with a fresh one, and even when I asked another lady, who said she would find out what had happened, she never came back either! By this time, we had almost given up and were about to walk out, but just then the food finally came (after around 40 mins since we arrived), so we ate the food. However, the whole thing was spoiled for us by the shocking service. It was as though everyone was ignoring us, even when we were trying to get some attention, and I never did get a new cup of tea! Somewhat unbelievably, the bill came as soon as we asked for it, and there in black and white was a £3.75 charge for a cup of tea that I never had, together with, just to add insult to injury, a service charge of over £5! It was definitely time to get the manager! I knew the Ivy was pricey and I was quite prepared for that, as it was a birthday treat. However, with the prices they charge you expect a certain level of service to go with it. They failed miserably and although the manager was apologetic and took some money off of the bill, our morning had been ruined and what should have been a lovely birthday treat was a miserable disappointment. Not good enough.
Thoroughly enjoyed my food, first time I've been to The Ivy, definitely going back! Superb.
Food was rather disappointing knowing how good it is at other branches
Incredible food and great service in a beautiful setting.
My partner and I had a wonderful meal at the Ivy Clifton. The food was incredible, each course was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. Our every request was met by an amazing young man called Adam. He was incredibly professional and extremely good at his job we were very very impressed. He made our visit all the more memorable 😊
We will definitely be visiting again !

Went to celebrate my daughter in laws birthday with my daughter, daughter in law and grand-daughter. We were in the Orangery and had such a lovely afternoon. The food was wonderful as were the drinks. A splendid afternoon.
A treat for my birthday/our wedding anniversary. Treated ourselves to the lobster and a glass of champagne, fabulous! Even got a small raspberry tart as a birthday treat from the restaurant.
It was the first visit of my 98 year old mother.
She was delighted and will tell everyone.
Very tough steak. Poor value for money . Good service
There were 4 of us and we were well attended before the restaurant got busy. There were a couple of mistakes with our order. One starter was missing but apologies were received and there was a mix up over a soft drink. Food was nice but not as good as our previous visit - maybe that was the choice we made. It's a nice atmosphere. We have sat in both the old bank area and the garden area in the bank and both are nice.
Very good atmosphere as always. Food and service was great.
A teapot which could deliver 2 cups of tea would be better than 1 1/4.
A lovely relaxing Saturday brunch I’d say the best in Bristol great service, food lovely excellent surroundings.
What else can I say
Fabulous spot in trendy Clifton. Visited here as we were dropping off my daughter at Bristol Uni, what a great choice. Atmosphere was perfect, vibrant and happening. Food and cocktails were great and service was exceptional. Will be back soon for sure...
Excellent food as always and great value too! Delicious cocktails recommend by staff. Service was brilliant
We enjoyed a wonderful birthday celebration at this very vibrant restaurant in Clifton. The menu offered a good variety of dishes and, as it happens, the three of us all chose different items for starters and mains. Service was impeccable and we did not have to wait long to be served our meals despite a very busy service. The food presentation was excellent and all tasted wonderful. We had quite a large table for the three of us and did not feel too close to other diners which made conversation easy even though there was a general noisy hub-bub in the background. It is a little more expensive than many other restaurants but not prohibitive and certainly worth further visits for the quality of the food and overall experience.
Lovely venue. Impressive when you walk in. Had afternoon tea. Food looked great but took ages to arrive. When I chased them they confessed they had given our food to the wrong table. They gave us a lovely birthday plaque on a miniature dessert. Despite knowing we were celebrating 2 birthdays! Lovely table but poor service. One waiter even walked away while I was talking to him. Overall a nice experience but slightly disappointing.
We had afternoon tea. It was absolutely the best I have ever had! From sandwiches to scones, everything was super tasty, full of flavours.
Lovely atmosphere, very polite and friendly staff and lovely food. It felt as though we had been transported to Paris. Can’t really fault it. We’ll definitely be back, soon hopefully.
Amazing food and the service was outstanding! Will defiantly be back soon.
The evening was very enjoyable. The food was very good, as was the service. My only complaint was that the cocktails that we ordered, as our first drinks order were served after the starter arrived. We were hoping to have them as an aperitif, which I would have thought would be what most people have cocktails for. At the very least we should have been asked when we would have liked the drinks to be served I think.
We always go to The Ivy for family celebrations - never fails to impress. We were seated in the conservatory for the first time - very pleasant. Excellent professional, friendly service.
Yes, great service, delicious food. Only negative was the huge service charge they add on the end of the bill which bumped the bill up massively.
Excellent service from our waiter, food was very good as were the cocktails.
Everything was delicious. I even spotted a celebrity at a nearby table.
Excellent food and service as always. Only draw back is lack of car parking around the area.
This was our first visit to an ivy restaurant and we were very impressed by the welcome, service and ambience. Unfortunately it was on a bank holiday and so we only experienced the brunch menu which was adequate but I suspect not of the same variety as your normal day menus. However, we shall return.
Very nice dining experience. Excellent food particularly the chocolate bombe dessert
A perfect way to celebrate my daughters 13th birthday and best friends 50th. Thank you
Went for sons 16th birthday breakfast, which I specified and confirmed by telephone. No mention was made, disappointing. Orange juice was not fresh and toast was cold.
Had a lovely time. Food was great
We love eating here. The food is delicious, service is always excellent and the ambiance just right. Perfect for a special occasion.
