Loved my visit.. buzzy and welcoming, excellent service and wonderful food!
Great service, as usual. Very happy that there is a vegan menu..... but would love at least one adventurous vegan pudding...... sorbet does not count! We loved the table we sat at, and have noted the number for our next visit, as we plan to make more visits in 2020.
Excellent food which was certainly good value. Service also excellent. Seating also good, but only criticism was that it was noisy at times and difficult to converse with our friends, but I suppose the restaurant can't take the blame for their noisy customers!
Good food and service. Bit noisy. Staff friendly helpful and accommodating as always. Ideal to meet up with friends for brunch Recommend
Felt a little rushed with service.
Food was generally OK but burger was poor- dried, over cooked- not good.
Very nice restaurant food is very good & ambience very nice apart would not want to be in the annexe part of the restaurant.
Wine & drinks however are very expensive.
The Ivy Cobham is very good been a few times before Christmas decor was fab
Fantastic in every way. Excellent food and service.
Same reliable and somewhat boring menu, although the service was excellent. This is a restaurant best visited in the summer and for lunch.
You go through the third degree before able to log on to their wi-fi, including giving date of birth.
I rang the restaurant at 18.50h to advise that we were running 10-15 minutes late for a 19.15h booking. The call wasn't answered when we arrived at 19.30h and received a cursory apology advising that the phones are not manned until after 21.00h!
Loved where we sat in the conservatory and the ambience. Bar staff were quick on service and so was the meal, however, we did get fed up with the constant, “how is your meal” for every course and then, as soon as we were finished, the plates were whisked away! The food was very tasty especially the crispy duck as a starter and the apple tart with calvados.
Love the Ivy, however I had the Kerlan duck curry, it used to be a prawn / fish curry. Which was delicious. However the duck curry was tasteless. I had to ask for chilli flakes to wake the dish up. I really should have sent it back.
First time going to the ivy, service was very slow even though it was quiet. The food was very nice, but not enough quantity. I would return to give it another chance.
Ok so a fantastic starter of scallops that had so much taste and flavour only to be let down by a ribeye steak that looked fantastic but was pretty tough! Fair enough it was removed from the bill but really disappointed! Wife had fillet steak that was really good and a great dessert so I guess I just got unlucky! Service was good but table for two was quite small and difficult to hear waitress as very busy and loud. Will go again just for those scallops!
Excellent evening for our daughter’s birthday
Fabulous birthday brunch. Food delicious, service excellent, ambiance lovely. Attentive staff who strive to please. Absolutely lovely meal. Thank you
Another fantastic and relaxing evening, the food was outstanding as always. Impeccable service, Christmas decorations very stylish.
Fantastic food and service.
Only downside was we could only book a table for 17:45 however when we left after 19:00 there were lots of free tables.
Lovely lunch with friends, great value, attentive staff, fabulous ambience can't wait to return.
Unlike other Ivy cafes the staff are not as friendly and they have changed the recipe for the halloumi sandwich and I didn’t like it
Love this place , very relaxed atmosphere with very friendly staff. Food always good .
Pleasant meal but expensive .
Obcect strongly to the adding a service charge automatically.
Just a con to increase the price. I would rather tip the waitress direct
With service charge vat is charged so the government also share, and all the staff get a portion. Why? Don't you pay them enough.
Very disappointed booked for lunch for my friends 80th Birthday well before the occasion was given a table just inside the entrance next to a table with babies in proms, possibly I should have asked for a different table but felt slightly embarrassed as the young mothers would have heard.
Excellent as always shame that any decent wine is so so pricey
Wonderful birthday lunch at the Cobham Ivy Brasserie with my husband and sister.Delicious food, and outstanding service from the staff. Will definitely be back.
We had a super meal at the Ivy last weekend and the best thing about it was that we were seated right in front of the fire in the conservatory area which meant we were toasty warm on a very cold day. The service was impeccable, the shallots were delicious as a starter and the mains were the usual standard followed by the chocolate bomb, which is always fantastic. The cocktails and wine were top notch too so all in all I would highly recommend the Ivy in Cobham, Surrey.
Always good, Victoria provided great service and the food was delicious.
The food and service were as great as always. We frequently visit numerous restaurants and the Cobham and Chelsea Ivy are our favourites.
Great setting and staff very happy and attentive. Will definitely be back
Another great meal here and even on a really busy Saturday the service was still excellent and the food was great.
It was a Saturday evening and we knew it might be a bit noisy. We had asked for a table in the conservatory, but this was apparently not possible, and the four of us were initially seated at a table close to the bar and the noise level was HORRENDOUS! We asked to be moved somewhere quieter, and this was done with only a 5 minute delay and with sympathy for our plight! The manager (?) who looked after this said that they were aware of the problem and they had plans to open up a new dining area soon, further away from the bar. Some soft furnishings on the wall opposite the bar might also help.
The service at our new table, by Josh, was prompt and friendly. I enjoyed my choices (Tempura Prawns with salt & pepper squid, followed by Aromatic Duck Curry) and my wife enjoyed her Seared Scallops followed by Chicken Milanese, but our guests were less happy. My brother-in-law chose the Beef & Rosti special, which was tasty enough but he was astonished by the price (£34.95, with vegetables extra) which we were not told about beforehand. His wife chose to have two starters - Zucchini Fritti which was more tempura batter than zucchini, followed by Crispy Duck Salad in which there was very little duck.
Our desserts were more successful: a Chocolate Bombe and a Malted Banana ice cream, which we all shared.
It was nearly a very pleasant evening, but not as good as the lovely evening that my wife and I had for our wedding anniversary, on a Thursday in the Conservatory back in September.
Great place to celebrate an 18th and a 21st birthday! Exciting menu, lovely staff and a marvellous atmosphere.
This is our second visit to The Ivy and whilst previously we enjoyed an excellent visit this time we were a little disappointed. The staff are courteous and extremely helpful and the venue is stunning. However, the food a little over rated....our starters were the best and the desserts delicious but our lemon sole disappointing dare I say a little crisp in places. A lovely evening non the less and well worth a visit but I wonder if the name sells it rather than the food.
Incredible food, lobster risotto is one of the beet dishes I’ve ever had.
We both had a lovely evening food and service was excellent
I think there are too many tables in the restaurant overall and there is not much room to move between each table and when you are eating, there is no room on the table for glasses, side dishes etc.
Booked for lunch with 2 friends and chose from a la carte menu. Service was fine and no complaints. Ambience o.k and comfortable enough with adequate space between tables. The food was o.k and portion size fair enough but not particularly exciting and probably typically brasserie style. However, when the bill was presented and we then paid £55.00 per head for 2 courses each, with pre lunch drinks ( beer ) and a bottle of house red, we all felt this was pretty expensive for what we had. The whole package did not make us feel like going again.
Good food and service- restaurant busy for a Tuesday evening which made it very lively if a little noisy- staff were friendly and helpful and we would definitely come back again.
The food was amazing the staff was so friendly and the atmosphere was so nice I will be going back soon
I love the Cobham Ivy, the only problem is the level of noise can sometimes get unbearable, as can the problems parking. But the parking problem was solved by excellent staff - the noise levels are sadly unsolvable, but would not let that put me off coming again.
