The Ivy Cobham Brasserie
The Ivy chain has now settled down into being an up market cafe rouge with beautiful surroundings and an unambitious but costly menu that only represents value in terms of the name and not in the slightest for the quality of the food.
Treated my friend to a birthday breakfast.
I love the Ivy Cobham and everything was enjoyable just slightly puzzled by smashed avocado being served a cubed avocado. I realise it sounds rather silly but I personally think the description is wrong and I find it tastes different. Perhaps it’s just me? I should have asked for some chilly flakes. That makes everything ok. Ha! Overcharged in bill but corrected when I pointed it out. No big problems just little details. Will be back!
Ps the birthday girl truly appreciated the special treat offered by the Ivy. So did I. Very nice touch.
I love the Ivy at Cobham but was disappointed with my vegetarian dish, Halloumi. It was like two large slabs of cheese, very dry. It needed to be in thinner slices so it would cook through and remain moist.
As always, my perfect IVY Cobham !
However, we were unlucky to be next to a very loud and lively group of women which made it almost impossible to hear and talk !
A part from that 5/5
An absolute wonderful experience, especially with the little birthday treat at the end of the evening.
My first time here for my husbands birthday. Brunch menu had a great selection, food was tasty and catered for all my fussy family. Great ambience, and friendly staff.
We had a thoroughly enjoyable brunch with impeccable food and service. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely atmosphere, attentive but not fussy stuff. Good value.Starters, cocktails outstanding. Mains mixed standard.
Had a very enjoyable dinner at the ivy cobham, food was spot on and the ambience was great. Would definitely recommend.
Fantastic attention to detail service from Dominique who I can’t thank enough. Lovely food.
Lovely restaurant and beautifully decorated. The garden looks stunning and can’t wait to return when it’s warmer to experience it
Food was very average. Left over half. Could eat the vegetables as we couldn't actually cut them they were so hard. Wont rush back.
We booked a to go for afternoon tea as advertised online,
Sadly once seated we were told they no longer offer this as a choice.
Feeling rather disappointed we decided to order anyway.
The food was very nice but plates were smeary and glasses were sticky as drinks were split.
And are pudding bowls stuck to the table cloth,
Also are last cocktails we had were served in the wrong glasses.
Just not the high standards we normally receive.
We will return as hopefully this was just a blip.
Fantastic service and gorgeous ambience. The food was superb!
The Ivy Cobham is amazing. The service
Is first class and the food is amazing.
My husband and I went on Saturday 22nd Jan 2022. The lady our waitress was so lovely.I have booked to go back
this Sat 29th Jan 2022.
It’s my friends birthday
Love this brasserie so much. The decor, attentive staff. My only negative is the weekend brunch menu - I feel it’s too “lunch” to start at 11am. On the weekend I’d like breakfast items to stay on the menu until later in the day
Excellent venue for a spot of breakfast 👌 also nice place for an evening meal.
I’ve been going to this Ivy every week pretty much but last couple of visits this week, the service has been very poor and below expectations
Thank you for a another great evening. Morgan our waitress was second to none, so helpful and efficient. My steak was quite grislily so couldn't eat all of it which was a disappointment. Other than that the rest of the evening to celebrate my friends belated birthday. Will always come back again and again. Thank you
The food was very disappointing - quality of the ingredients were of extremely poor quality
Just a great solid consistent experience and an awesome buzz
Very busy ! But service good and food excellent
Noise level was extremely high! Surrounded by big tables and the hard surfaces make everything louder
We were a two so had to shout above the noise
Beautifully decorated restaurant, exceptional service and good food reasonably priced. Would happily recommend.
Been to various Ive!s now and as usual Im never disappointed.
It’s a great restaurant in all aspects. Can’t fault it and would happily go again
Excellent as usual. One minor detail was that my order wasn’t correct.
The place of choice for a celebration breakfast. I love to celebrate a special occasion with a breakfast and then an evening meal. The Ivy does breakfast in style.
We had a lovely evening. The only hiccup was when my daughter a breastfeeding, driving new mum ordered a virgin cosmopolitan and was served the alcoholic version. Fortunately she realised and the manager came and apologised. It had not been the waitresses fault as she had checked it was to be the non alcoholic version. We were compensated with a reduction on the bill but you may want to rename the virgin cosmo so that mistakes are avoided in future.
As always The Ivy at Cobham brilliant. A bit expensive than a normal meal out, but for a special occasion, wonderful.
Very good service, food and ambience. Always a pleasure to dine at The Ivy
Excellent service..way too cramped though and not much space between the tables, felt uncomfortable given the covid situation. Food was good although veggies were way too Al dente. It was a pleasant evening though and our waitress was fabulous. It's an expensive place to eat out.
Very pleasant lunch, just can't quite give it 5 but it's not far off. Staff and service was good and not over the top.
Being able to have a table in the Conservatory makes the world of difference to the Cobham Ivy experience. Good as the rest of the restaurant is there is just a touch of "special" about it especially when the sun is shinning.
Our party of 6 really enjoyed our lunch. The bright cheerful restaurant and good service was much appreciated. The food and presentation of the dishes was very good for what is a mid range dining venue. All in all we thought it reasonable value for the money.
The service was excellent but the food was totally overpriced and of mediocre quality. I think people visiting The Ivy are thinking of its origins which attracted personalities but the Ivy chain has diminished so much that it is no longer distinguishable from the many other restaurants around, and the quality of food has suffered, but the prices haven't. Another irritation is that at lunchtime they always give you the a la carte menu, without saying that there is a lunch set menu which is better value. You have to ask for th eset menu.
Delicious food/breakfast served by delightful staff. A perfect birthday treat for a good friend
Excellent evening and Sophie, our waitress, was delightful!
Great place to celebrate and catch up with friends!
The conservatory is slightly chilly by the window.
Lovely staff and atmosphere
