The Ivy Cobham Brasserie
A number of tables remain unreserved throughout the day allowing more people to experience a taste of Ivy magic in both our dining and service. You will be able to sample our extensive range of quality food and delicious cocktails at your leisure, seven days a week from breakfast until late, whether you are a local resident or work close by.
For those looking for a little something extra to celebrate with friends or impress at a business lunch, The Ivy Cobham Brasserie also offers a semi-private dining area, seating up to 12 people.
Brunch for my son’s 21st. Vegetarian breakfast was far superior than the regular- both of which were not overly hot when served. At times surrounded by 5 staff serving us at the same time and then no one around when we wanted to order cocktails after we had finished our meal. Very odd all or nothing Service. Although I had mentioned when booking it was my son’s 21st, they certainly didn’t make him or our party feel special. Even had to wait an age to pay our bill. Not one to rush back to. Very disappointing.
This was my 5th time in Ivy and will be the last one.
Booked a table for a special occasion, got a birthday cake even though no one asked what the occasion was. It wasn't a birthday, just for the record!
The staff was polite but didn't care at all... The main dishes were served by someone else (not the same guy who took the order) and he didn't bother asking who's having what. He just served it all up and then had to redo it. He wasn't happy with that - so sorry, felt like it was my fault.
Not to mention the food itself was beyond dissapointing - squash soup was tasteless (I made one at home few days ago and we all agreed it tasted way better), the arancini were burnt (almost black in colour), the duck curry had only duck in it - nothing else, no veggies - nothing, it felt like it was the last portion of the day scrapped from the bottom of the pan. Prawns were tasteless too if you were happy enough to find them in that very generous layer of batter. We ate it all simply because didn't want to ruin our evening. If I was there alone, it would have all been sent back to the kitchen.
This restaurant was always a high-end place, now what's left of it is its shiny interiors plus some 100% ignorance. Will not be coming back.
Impeccable service, so well dressed and well presented.
Great atmosphere in this lively and friendly restaurant
Always seem to end up chatting to people on tables nearby
We were given a very nice corner table in the main body of the restaurant
Good and attentive service but not over the top
Ordered bottle of champagne but could have been little colder. Individual glasses subsequently ordered much colder
Food always enjoyable
Will be back
excellent service, a notch above standard restaurants. Service charge worked well as we encountered various staff so seems the fairest way to distribute gratuities. Only negative for us we found the round tables for four very small and my husband's chair was frequently bumped by passing traffic
Unfortunately the evening was overshadowed by very slow kitchen service with the main courses arriving over a period of about 7-8 minutes. This is basic stuff and the explanation that is was Saturday evening and the kitchen was busy was poor. We also had to wait 10 minutes for our table (booked for 7pm) and one of the side dishes ordered never arrived.
On the plus side the Head Waiter was very apologetic but this is not the level of service expected from The Ivy.
Very good service and good ambience. We have a great meal. Especially appreciate the manager there (James) who is excellent. We will be back!
I do love the Ivy in Cobham for a weekend brunch with friends or family - it’s such a lovely setting and food choices are interesting and a little different from the usual fare.
However, every time I come there are issues with my dish! Usually my Hollandaise requested “on the side” arrives on top of the eggs-this time I ordered the avocado Benedict and received Eggs Benedict - not suitable for a veggie! Slightly annoying as it meant I had to wait while the others tucked in.
Apart from that, an enjoyable experience.
Love everything about this restaurant. The only downfall was that our steaks were pretty universally overcooked. Still tasted great though!
Lovely restaurant, attentive staff and delicious food.
Most aspects very good but not outstanding and a cost of £172 inc service was what I would consider to be worthy of outstanding all round.
We love this place, and always come back. The food, ambience and service are always amazing. On this particular instance, our waiter was extra wonderful, a young enthusiastic gentleman with a great smile. He made recommendations and really looked after us. Thanks for a lovely experience.
Lovely lively and energetic atmosphere. Service and food really top quality. Makes for a most enjoyable treat for most of us, or if your budget allows a great place to relax and enjoy the great service.
This is the 3rd time I have been to an Ivy Brasserie and this was the least enjoyable
I have been to the Cobham Ivy many times however in this occasion (a special birthday lunch celebration from my friend) the food was mediocre and portions seem to be getting smaller.
The bill was steep (even allowing for the 2 Kir Royals and having the set 2 course menu). I enjoy going to the Ivy but really it is no longer good value for money which is disappointing....the food seem to become more like Cote in that it is ready prepared.
All in all a very disappointing 70th birthday celebration!!!!
I had requested that we would like a table in the conservatory and so was delighted that we were sat in there. The wine was good, the food was very enjoyable apart from the vegetables. We all love our vegetables cooked ‘al dente ‘ but the green beans and the broccoli were inedible, hard and totally undercooked. Thank you at least for removing the vegetables from the bill. A great shame as we enjoy coming to the restaurant with friends. Service was slower than usual but didn’t bother us too much as we were talking ! We will return but I will instruct the waiter/waitress in future to ask the chef to make sure the vegetables are correctly cooked.
Always consistently good food and attentive service
We thoroughly enjoyed our delicious breakfast served in calming surroundings
The service was excellent and will certainly return with the family
Yes, because always enjoy the Ivy, but not a very impressive afternoon tea... mediocre at best
Excellent service, good food, an enjoyable experience
We have had many excellent meals in this restaurant which is beautifully designed, and gives a very comfortable dining experience. The Ivy Gin & Tonic was delicious! Unfortunately the fish of the day that I ordered was overcooked and dry. I was swiftly asked if I wanted an alternative dish which was good, but it took at least 20 mins to arrive, by which time, the rest of my table had finished their meals. Shame. This is not the first time I have ordered fish which has been dry, so I would probably avoid ordering it next time.
Very surprised that there were no sides with our meal they had to be ordered separately. After paying £32 for the meat I assumed it came with something. Also all wines very expensive need to have a house wine that is well priced
Service average this time and forgot the extra cake for my friend - it was her baby shower and the usual fuss wasn’t made. On the shift change no one came to checkin with us and we had to ask for service a couple of times. Sandwiches in the afternoon tea were dry and tasted like they’d been left out for ages. Last time we came the whole experience was excellent. This time everything was distinctly average so won’t be returning anytime soon
Hi. I had smoked-salmon & crab starter which was very nice. Steak sandwich & chips. OK. Over-cooked steak vs pink that I requested. No vegetables & no significant garnish provided. Main criticism is waitress hovering over our table throughout our meal - looking at us constantly - waiting to whisk away our dishes asap. Manager later conferred with waitress very obviously re which tables were vacant. Both looked pointedly at our table. Wife's plate was removed while she was still chewing. I really felt pressurised to leave asap. Not relaxing. Think we left within 2 hours of arriving so we were not slow to eat or order. Restaurant was extremely noisy. I'm fairly deaf & found it one of the noisiest restaurants I have ever visited. Otherwise service & food was quite good. Little birthday cake for wife was appreciated.
Seaters/Greeters could not even be bothered to look up and say hello or can I help you or say thank you and goodbye.
Burgers were burnt and so were the baps, creamed spinach was so dry I could not eat it.
Ambience and service excellent.
Ladies toilets were unkept.
Great service, fantastic food. Our happy place. Thoroughly recommend.
I’ve been here a number of times & love the restaurant, ambience, staff & usually the food however this time the food was really only average. My husband ordered the mozzarella as a starter & it was awful (warm & tasted off/bitter) We waiting a long time between starter & main course (over 1\2 an hour) & the fish & chips I had were not crisp but soggy however my husbands thought his Pork dish was lovely. We ordered the apple tart which on the menu said 14 mins cooking time it was out in about 5mins & had definitely been heated up & took a sharp knife to cut through the soggy pastry base! The staff however were wonderful & offered a new starter & were so polite & helpfull however the food is really not where it should be for the price - definitely not cooked fresh & severely lacking in quality! Shame as I love the restaurant ambience & staff.
We have been in the Ivy Guildford couple of times, and few of our friends said that we should try the one in Cobham. I decide that for my wife's birthday we can go there.
They put us in a lovely little (too little) table. May because it was Friday, but the noise level was insane, it was like in a pub. We ordered Zucchini fritti (they wasn't that crispy and tasty as the one we had in Guildford), salt-crusted sourdough bread (it was good), duck liver parfait (I personaly didnt like it), the Ivy cure smoked salmon (it was delicious, and the bread was amazing). We also ordered a bottle of red wine(Malbec), which they tried to serve me in whats my opinion nota wine glass. We asked to change them, and after consultation with a couple of colleagues, they finally did. I've been in very nice restaurant in Bulgaria this summer, and the waiter told me that they have 13 different wine glasses and they serve specific wine with glass which is best for this wine - and thats amazing and what you might expect from the famous Ivy. For main we had fillet steak ( we ordered it medium, come well done - tasteless and dry) with wild mushroom souce ( it was sour and the mushrooms was like gum). Whenever the waiter was putting more wine in our glasses, there were wine drops on the table cloth, as we had bread, there was bread crumbs on the table which no one removes at any point. For dessert, we had creme brulee (the soft and not crunchy) and chocolate bombe (it doesn't melt - annoying).
Overall for over £200 dinner for two + £50 for a taxi, it doesn't meet my expectations. I will never come back in this brasserie, and won't recommend it
Great food and service as is usual at Cobham Ivy, always busy which always makes for a great atmoshere, highly recomend this restaurant
Excellent food and great service as always. Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner out - and was even able to get a parking space out front!!
Food pretty good, service a bit inconsistent. Too many different servers. Sea bream nice, but smoked aubergine a bit odd. Partner enjoyed his steak. Had to ask for butter (to go with toast) for potted salmon starter. Excellent Soave.
Great setting for a birthday brunch. Lovely atmosphere and great food. Loved the little touch of a tiny cake with our coffee to finish. Thank you for a great celebration.
Great food and worth the visit. The following few days at home eating dinner have been very lacklustre. I want to eat dinner at The Ivy every night instead.
We had a very pleasant table for two in the conservatory area. It's an ideal quiet location and very comfortable. The service was first rate and the evening was a great success.
What an amazing service and atmosphere ~!
Food , mood, staff are all good.
Strong recommended to everyone.
Special thanks to Salvador who is staff on our table.
We will come again with our business partner and friends!
As always fantastic service, amazing food and fabulous surroundings. Truly excellent and we always enjoy our meal.
I have been to the The Ivy in Cobham many times and have never had reason to be dissatisfied. From the moment you walk in, the team of staff take care of your every need. The only negative is lack of parking.
I would definitely recommend The Ivy.
Great birthday breakfast with the family
Our first visit and we thought it as very pleasant experience. Extremely courteous and helpful staff, it was so nice to see that service hasn't completely died in the UK !!
Food was excellent especially the Warm Duck Salad to begin with, the chicken was succulent and the Monk fish & Prawn Curry had a bit of heat ! All very very nice.
Had lovely breakfast once again with my daughter great friendly service good food in lovely surroundings. Would recommend as special treat to anyone. Thanks
