Okay..so love it here....!
Great location , easy parking . Real sense of special occasion restaurant yet relaxed , excellent food , service and surroundings .
This was our first visit and we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The food was excellent and the whole experience was very good.
Staff could not be more helpful! Amazing I had steak the plate was cold and they gave me a new steak.
I cannot highly regard the staff enough, amazing and our seating next to the fire was perfection Thank you When you date an executive chef you become spoilt but the ivy cobham made him smile. Well done team your doing an epic loan
Another memorable dining experience at Ivy, Cobham. Standards remain exceptionally high. Service impeccable.
Delicious food, perfectly cooked. Friendly, efficient service. There were six of us celebrating an 80th birthday and it was all perfect.
Little bit light on the sandwiches we only had two finger ones each .
This was our first visit to The Ivy but it will not be our last. The staff are very friendly, courteous and helpful and the food was first class. We loved the restaurant area as well.
All in all, this was a very nice place to be.
Disappointed with the menu choice
I would have ordered sea bass or a light fish dish
I found the fish & chips too heavy
Another guest in my party would have enjoyed a roast meal
You need to add French Martini to your cocktail list
I have that on every visit and it becomes a problem when the waiter cannot put it through on the bill, the bar staff can only do that as it’s a ‘special’ order
We had a lovely family birthday meal at The Ivy for my husband. It was very busy in the restaurant but the service was still spot on and the food was lovely too. I am wheat and dairy intolerant and they catered for me well. Would be nice if there was perhaps a Gluten and dairy free brownie and ice cream on the menu rather than just sorbet, as a very wet windy day is not a sorbet day. That's not a complaint just a suggestion.
Lively ambience. Was very busy though. Food excellent
. My chips were really dry though.
Another great evening thank you. Our friends were visiting from Somerset and loved the food, the service and the ambience. They also decided to walk around the whole restaurant as couldn’t believe what looked like a cottage from outside was such a large dining space and was as usual packed.
It was a very nice experience with lots of professionalism from the reception to the waiter and the food was exceptional!:X
We will come back 1000%
Fantastic service & Staff.
But at this price point was expecting more from the food. Unfortunately myself & my partner, felt the food was a bit bland.
I would still be intrigued to try some of the other dishes on the menu.
The best dish I ate was dessert (malted banana ice cream) this was fantastic & I would recommend.
Was looking forward to returning to The Ivy in Cobham and I wasn't disappointed. Drinks and food all excellent and great service as usual. This is my favourite Ivy of all in the restaurant group, even better than the original! Will book again soon!
Been a while since we dined here- must be 6 months- last time we thought the service a little diminished -
Not so this time- the previous impeccable service restored- we were served by a very amiable, friendly Millie- who deserves a formal compliment!
All was A1.... thank you.
Lovely venue, very friendly staff.
One warning, if you decide to wear heels make sure you have good grip on your shoes as the wood flooring in the restaurant is quite slippery otherwise!
As always - impeccable service and great food. The restaurant is beautiful and the ambiance amazing- thank you
Going to the Ivy is a special treat. Food was amazing. We had pancakes which were delicious. Can I suggest slightly less yogurt (?) between the pancakes. Rather overwhelming. But I would still order them again! I had requested a quiet table in the ‘both’ area when I booked, but we were shown to a very noisy area. I explained what I wanted and was promptly and kindly moved to a booth area. That person also offered to turn the volume of the music down a little. My husband is hard of hearing. I realised after some time that this particular booth was noisy as you could hear the clashing of plates from the kitchen and it was a walkway for everybody going to the toilets - and that wasn’t quiet either! All in all I love the Ivy and it’s always a very relaxing atmosphere. The service is second to none. I look forward to coming back.
Having been to the Ivy Cobham many times for breakfast. I have to say Saturday was one of their off days. breakfast arrived as ordered, firstly we noticed that not all plates had hash browns on them and one had two!! We just let this small matter ride and we didn't want to spoil our breakfast with friends. No toast!! we asked on three occasions where our toast was. "Its just coming sir" was the answer. Well it did arrive eventually, but breakfast was almost eaten, no apology. As stated earlier, an off day!
Excellent breakfast our family. The staff were really welcoming. Our 3year old and 4month year old were relaxed throughout the breakfast and really enjoyed it thanks to the staff.
The Ivy certainly lived up to expectation on the quality and presentation of the food, it was absolutely delicious and a feast for the eyes. A nice touch was having a dedicated separate menu for Vegetarian/Vegan clients.
I think the decor is very inviting and the staff friendly and courteous. The one thing that let this all down was the number of covers squeezed into small spaces. Our table (for2) was so squashed in that it was difficult for the waiters and waitresses to get to us with any ease. Granted it was a busy night that we were there but eating in that close proximity meant you felt hemmed in and almost part of other tables conversations !
Apart from that it was great.
Food was excellent ...... however it was extremely busy and for some reason it was nearly two hours before we got our food, other tables had come in and left again before we got to eat...... we were compensated on the night and staff were attentive and apologetic ........despite this little hiccup as always it was a good evening.... dined are The Ivy in many locations........ The Ivy Cobham is by far the best ❤️
My meal came a good 20 mins after everyone else’s. I had to kept asking for it.
My husbands starter was awful tasted like and looked like foam. Supposed to be a risotto.
The fish burger I had was pretty tasteless.
My second cocktail tasted completely different to the first one. Had to send it back but was told it was the same.
Excellent service as always but the cod was disappointing this time. It used to be 2 smaller chunky pieces but this time two larger but thin pieces lacking flavour and crumbly texture rather than bigger moist flakes.
A lovely restaurant in leafy Surrey with attentive but not overbearing service from lovely staff, combined with great food and a buzzy atmosphere - what's not to like?
Good quality of food and great service.
Got off to a shaky start when 3 different staff members asked if they could bring us water while we waited. It eventually arrived and thereafter the service was faultless. The food was excellent, particularly the "bangbang" salad and scallops. There is something for everyone with an imaginative and extensive vegan and vegetarian menu. Every Ivy restaurant I have visited manages to strike a balance between very classy and yet relaxed; we went for lunch and stayed well into the evening! Highly recommended.
Always love The Ivy for a special treat! Lovely atmosphere, excellent customer service. One small criticism, the coffee could be hotter
This was our third staff Christmas lunch, yes I know it was in February but accountants are busy December & January. As before service staff are excellent and the food and drinks were generally fine.
We were however not happy with the original table being offered and the replacement, whilst better, was still basically in a corridor. We book these at the 3 month pre-booking window so we would really expect a decent table.
Sweet potato side dish was amazing!!!
Considering we ended up having dessert and a few drinks instead of dinner, the waiters were very pleasant and attentive. The Ivy Cobham is highly rated.
Best creme brûlée I have ever had!
Have to only give 4 stars as there was a mouse.
We go here regularly for breakfast and always find it excellent. On this occasion we went for an early Valentines lunch as my wife is working on Friday. My wife likes their lobster dish, which she always enjoys and was again very good. I tried the minute steak for the first time which was also good, however it was let down, unusually for the Ivy, by chips that can best be described as lukewarm, soft, baked potato sticks rather than fried chips. My 3 year old son was busy eating the chips so I didn't bother raising the issue but personally I found them particularly unappetising.
Food quality and service excellent. Ambience and overall enjoyment slightly lacking versus other Ivy’s.
The breakfast menu is very good value for money and is easy to book
Lovely place, great food and overall good service, it's just a shame they cram too many tables in, we had a two seater squashed between several larger tables and everytime a guest or waiter/waitress wanted to get passed they had to squeeze past me and kept kicking my chair
Service was good , albeit far to quick. Had barely received our cocktails when the starter arrived. Overall we were rushed , feeling the table was required for another sitting. We were in and out in 1 hr. 20 mins.
Excellent food and service. Staff all very friendly, smartly dressed and helpful. The jackfruit bang bang salad starter and the blackened cod were delicious.
The food was excellent, the service was good, efficient and businesslike. What detracted from the whole experience was the lighting level over our table was so low that we could hardly read the menus, thats normal, we used the torch settings on our phones. But more significantly, when the food arrived, I just hope the chef hadn't made a huge effort with the arrangement on the plate and the colour scheme of the different ingredients, because it was so dark, that there appeared to just be a dark mass on the plates. It tasted nice, but the first taste is always with the eyes and this was completely lost on this occasion. Also the nature of the booking system in that there's repeat sittings every 15 mins, meant that there was a hubbub going on all around us. especially when a large party arrived, and hovered around the table doing their greetings, the tables are close enough together that one of our party was repeated nudged in the back as there wasnt enough room to gather. The Ivy is always good and the food is excellent but its these little details which make the difference to it being nice or excellent.
