For those looking for a little something extra to celebrate with friends or impress at a business lunch, The Ivy Cobham Brasserie also offers a semi-private dining area, seating up to 12 people.
Overcharged on drinks which was disappointing. It’s not a ‘cheap eats’ place and the last thing you want when you get the bill is to have to quibble over an extra G&T
Steak was a little stringy
Overall though we loved it. Desserts were amazing
Went on a recommendation from a friend and did not disappoint!
Food was excellent, service was spectuclar and general ambience was pleasant. If there is one downside (through no fault of staff) there is minimal parking.
Many thanks, we will return soon!
Two of us had the special partridge. One wasn’t properly cooked, and had to be taken away to be cooked. One person therefore had to wait for her food, but the bill wasn’t adjusted at all.
Unfortunately when you only have a table for two hours you cannot afford for the service to be as slow as it was. It was my sisters 40th and we waited over 20 minutes for someone to even come over and each time it took about the same amount of time. Unfortunately some of the sandwiches were stale but we still managed to enjoy ourselves and soak up the atmosphere
We were celebrating our wedding anniversary with the children. All of us enjoyed the meal. I’ve never had such beautifully cook poached eggs...cooked on the outside and runny yolks in the middle - there’s an art to this and the chef succeeded! Service was excellent and friendly. Will certainly come again 😊
Lovely food, wonderful service in stunning surroundings
Fantastic service and attention to detail from the team following my comments on booking that this was for my mums birthday
Excellent brunch with friends. Wonderful service. They even helped me in the car park.
Food was excellent, but you would expect attentive service the the premium price and this was missing.
We had to chase first two courses, drinks and wine.
It’s just isn’t a high end experience until you get the bill
Very nice lunch and service, extremely busy and staff possible a bit rushed , however good quality food and nice ambience!
We had a lovely evening the service was excellent and the food was outstanding .
Only slight complaint . The lightning makes reading the menu extremely difficult.
We (similar to other tables) had to rely on light from mobile phones to read with comfort .
Friendly staff and a goof atmosphere
Delightful service in particular from waiter Salvador and receptionist Claudia
We were 9 ladies who recently moved to the area. We are all used to cool places with a good ambiance.
The food was great. Something for everyone and it was quiet enough to talk and get to know each other without being too quiet... We had a great lunch and more to come.
Great lunch with the wife. Would certainly recommend.
Food was amazing, staff very attentive however food did come out a little slow. Lovely atmosphere, will definitely return!
We enjoyed the food, but 2 of the dishes ordered needed sides to be added including a sauce for a steak so an alternative meal was chosen. We asked a waitress for extra sauces which were forgotten and had to ask another waitress half way through our food. Nice touch a birthday treat with a candle.
what a fabulous evening we had.
we were celebrating a Birthday and the staff really made us feel we mattered..
The conservatory was perfect, just the right amount of ambiance. food as always excellent and the wine choice perfect.
looking forward to our next visit.
thank you again ..😘
Our server was brilliant, she was accomodating to all of our needs and very quick and efficient. She was also very friendly! We had a lovely time, the noise level was slightly too high, but over all it was very good!
Food and service were good but not up to usual standard. My chicken was over cooked and our waiter was very pleasant however one lady was quite grumpy
Excellent! The service was superb. Highly recommended!
Very enjoyable brunch with great service and nice food too.
We had booked a table for 8.30pm but unfortunately our table wasn’t ready when we arrived and we were asked to wait in the bar area. The bar area was extremely busy and we struggled to find somewhere to stand and get served. We sat/stood in the bar area for 45 minutes until our table was ready. We were offered no complimentary drinks. Our table was in the conservatory area which was a lovely setting. It was just a shame we had to wait so long for our table to be ready.
We have been to The Ivy in Harrogate which was fantastic, the food, service & the ambiance were everything you wanted, unfortunately The Ivy at Cobham was none of these. We had to wait 10 mins for our booked table which was fine but once seated had to wait at least 30 mins for someone to take our order resulting in getting our starter well over an hour from sitting down, we were tucked away in a corner & found it very hard to get anyone’s attention. While waiting for our main course we noticed a waiter with a tray of food standing around for about 5 mins, he was waiting for another waitress to service up the course, as it turned out It was our food which was not as you can imagine not very hot by then. Most of the food was good apart from the burger which was one of the blandest I have ever had & for the price I was charged was appalling I would feather have had a MacDonalds.
So in summary we will not be going back to The Ivy at Cobham but may try another of the chain at a later date.
Great, fast friendly service. You are always made to feel special.
Parking is an issue
Lovely venue for a special occasion. But unfortunately menu not exciting enough, sadly we did feel really disappointed after visit.
I like this restaurant very much, it's always nice for a treat or business catch up. Sometimes I wish there were a few more salad options on the menu but its a lovely setting and I keep going back.
Staff tried to be accommodating.
Olivies arrived when our main meal was about to be served, not with the wine.
The Rissoto was appauling more like a pudding, thick and set, far too over cooked, perhaps cooked earlier in the day.
The curry very disappointing, lacked flavour and fish ! perhaps the chef could have a lesson at Rick Stein Barnes.
Also we ordered spinach that did not arrive.
We did not complain as we had a guest with us.
would not consider returning.
A great shame.
It was so nice, staff were so friendly, I went with my cousin as he had recently lost his father, so a nice place to cheer him up!
Thank you xxx
As always a great night out! Rumour has it you are opening in Weybridge!?? Please do!
We go to The Ivy for special events and anniversaries whether as a group or as a cosy couple, it is perfect for both. Everything about The Ivy shouts special and exclusive from the warm welcome, the first class service and the exceptional food. We try new things from the menu and often share the delicacies on offer. The Monkfish and Prawn curry was superb and Mandie reported likewise on her Cod!
The deserts are very, very tempting if you’re trying to be “good”!!!!
We have visited the Ivy before and again was not disappointed. From the moment we arrived until we left we were looked after and treated very well. Our server was very attentive filling up our wine glasses without being asked and the food was excellent. The steak was especially cooked perfectly. Would recommend the Ivy to everyone. The restaurant was buzzing!
Wouldn’t be somewhere I go all the time but the perfect treat for special occasions thank you for the wonderful food and amazing service
Took mum for her birthday for afternoon tea excellent time had by all
Overall a good meal marred by a rib eye steak and burger devoid of taste. To the credit of The Ivy, the steak was swiftly replaced with the requested fish cake and there was no charge for either. There was no request to change the burger. The other two diners were happy with their meals.
Maybe we were unlucky with our choices on what was otherwise a very pleasant evening in delivhtful surroundings with pleasant attentive service.
Visited The Ivy Cobham Brasserie on a Sunday lunchtime with 2 friends. We were greeted and shown to our table immediately and presented with menus and informed of the specials for the day. The restaurant was quite loud at times but it was at a peak time. The service was ok, a bit lacking in the ‘extra details’ and my dessert spoon was dirty! However, the food was delicious especially the chocolate bomb I had for dessert. I would visit again.
Fabulous brunch location. Good food, great service and beautiful surrounds. Also a nice little birthday treat and candle was brought to the table unexpectedly for our celebration. It was a nice touch and appreciated.
