“Greated” by a very rude staff, awful argumentative attitude at the door when the issue was with their own booking notes, demanded that i went through my phones caller history to show that i had made alterations to our booking, so rude spoiled the treat of going there, will not be returning.
We waited 35 mins for our wine. Initial waiter was asked 2 times to bring it - the waitress who brought food was excellent- however there were 2 waiters giving out to her in our earshot and it was so unprofessional - she was embarrassed - having been many times I don’t think I’ll return again - toilets were not very clean either - generally not an enjoyable night - all other visits were so much better - food was excellent but service is what I look for along with food- one without the other does not make for an enjoyable experience as a customer
Great food, great service, gorgeous restaurant in terms of decor.
When booking some weeks ago I requested table by window. Needless to say did not get one.
It was recommended to us as suitable for catching up with an old friend. The menu, wine choice and ambiance were excellent for that purpose and we had a great night. I would certainly go back
The Ivy is a beautiful restaurant with lots of atmosphere. I really like the decor and the ambience was lovely. The food was delicious. The wines were a little expensive. I would recommend the Ivy and look forward to returning to the Ivy in the future.
a great night out, really enjoyed being back out, great effort from the venue
Fantastic experience at the Ivy. The food, drink and atmosphere was great. We will definitely be back.
Daniel the waiter was excellent. Main problem was the lack of dessert wine. Spoke to Guy the manager who after an initial misunderstanding handled the problem perfectly.
Sea Bass dressing was not to usual standard. Dressing was not properly seasoned nor was the fish.
Lovely visit to the Ivy again yesterday. Brought a friend who had never been so it’s nice to get others opinions also.
Service was slower than usual including a mix up with the order being served to us in error. Food however was as delicious as always. Lovely the atmosphere and the surroundings as normal. Will be back 👍
The Ivy is not the ccheapest, though for the money you get greeted at the door and shown to your table. Prompt, attentive and gracious service throughout and at breakfast at least, the best scrambled eggs and salmon in town.
Works for me,
Lovely experience - went with a friend for a long anticipated catch up! Food, service, welcome and drinks were all 5 stars! Can’t wait for our next visit!
I have been to the Ivy numerous times & my experience this time was very poor - not encourage me to return . Issues:,from wrong vegetarian menu, confusion with drinks, delays in food, crashing of dishes, staff arguing infront of us re: what to prioritise. Poor customer relations.
The staff were wonderful. We had planned a surprise for a friend and all the staff were so amazing in carrying it through and playing along! And the food and service was excellent also!
Lovely dinner. The food and service were great. Didn't try the cocktails but will definetly next time
Absolutely amazing!! Can’t wait to go again. Thank you!
Back after COVID and was fantastic, great food and excellent staff.
The whole experience was excellent. I will be back.
Excellent food, great service. Very impressed with toilets. Great experience, thank you.
The food was wonderful, imaginative, with expertly balanced flavours and beautifully presented. The service was attentive, while adherence to COVID guidelines was appropriate. The decor is flamboyant and eye-catching; however the view of the ugly facade of the Royal Hibernian Way, made a window seat undesirable. The repetitive thumping beat of the music detracted from the overall dining experience, with the volume increasing as restaurant filled up. All in all: 4-star.
My sister LOVES this restaurant for celebrating her birthday and she really enjoyed herself. We had to cancel the booking on the same day last year, due to COVID !! Everyone really enjoyed their food, including me, the fussy veggie !!! The waiter was ok but always seemed in a rush to take our order, serve the food, clear the plates etc...
He could have been much better but everything else was great !! We will be back.
Beautiful restaurant, wonderful decor. Food very pricey especially when you have to pay for all sides, eg fillet steak should be served with at least one side as in fries / mashed potato included in the price.
Ottimo locale sotto ogni fronte.
The restaurant is beautiful and has a lovely atmosphere. Ideal for a catch up with friends over lunch or dinner.
Really friendly staff and very efficient
Overall everything was perfect! The booking was smooth.
Beautiful food in a lovely setting with excellent service
Food and service was excellent, would highly recommend
Lovely ambience, great service. Great choice separate menu for vegans/vegetarians. Good value for money, fresh produce, quality food, good portion sizes, every course was delicious.
Great food, but awful service. Love the decor and the ambience. I was disappointed overall.
Amazing food, beautiful atmosphere and the staff were coping well despite being extremely busy. I’ll certainly be back.
Unfortunately we were left waiting at the door over 15 mins for table we pre booked weeks ago,we ordered drinks that were never delivered, water wasnt topped up,staff were absolutely lovely who did their best as could see under pressure can't fault them but the lack of staff was probably the issue. Food was cold which we ordered also. Sorry to say not the experience we had hoped for.
It was a mixed group of teens and adults, and each person felt pampered and indulged by the staff. Really on the ball professionalism and politeness. The food was exquisite, the decor, crockery/cutlery provided, ambience and the pristine uniforms all added that pinch of ‘special’ to the gathering.
Great food, super service, friendly attentive staff. Definitely recommend visiting.
It was a great Sunday lunch, cozy and beautiful ♥️
We had a really lovely meal and the girl who served us was soo lovely and couldn’t have done enough, she was fab at her job.
Service super, food delicious , atmosphere buzzing.
Very good food and an exception vegetarian choice
Love it for Sunday brunch. The restaurant is fab and food was top notch
Worst customer service I have ever received. Waited outside for 20 minutes before being seated. Once seated, service was extremely rushed to the point that our mains arrived whilst we were in the middle of eating our starters, as if we were in a fast food restaurant.
After paying the 120 euro bill we were sitting finishing our drinks when out of nowhere a female member of staff who had not been serving us rudely and aggressively interrupted our conversation by shouting 'LADIES' until she got our attention (blonde mid length hair in a ponytail, wearing a suit).
Once she finally had our attention, the member of staff proceeded to shout at us, saying 'you need to leave NOW. We are closed'. Her tone was so aggressive that it left both of us in shock and humiliated that she had just used such a rude and disrespectful tone towards us - especially when we had been so accommodating the entire evening. My mum and I have never been spoken to like that before in our lives, let alone as paying customers having just forked out 120 euros for a meal for 2. On top of this, we had also paid the 12.5% service charge which had been conveniently added to the bill for the pleasure of us being rushed, shouted at and made to wait outside for 20 minutes.
The tone and manner in which we were essentially told to 'get out' was unforgivable. The Ivy had been more than happy to delay our meal by 20 minutes and take our money for the additional 25 euros' worth of drinks we ordered, yet when it came to us sitting to enjoy them we were treated with contempt, verging on verbal abuse.
Shocked by the treatment we had received, we asked one of the waiters if we could speak to a manager, however nobody came to speak to us. I have since emailed The Ivy Dublin to express my disappointment but have received no response, which shows how little they care about customer experience.
We left the restaurant feeling totally ripped off and upset. The evening was ruined - AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
