I have been to the Ivy many times and always enjoyed my visits and my latest one was no different. Your staff are fantastic, and I always enjoy your food. However yesterday when I relayed to my colleagues what a lovely time I had, both of them said they would be uncomfortable going to the Ivy Dublin because of the way the staff we’re treated. I had to my shame slipped my mind.
So I hate to say it but I would think twice about going to the Ivy in future, and you know what the staff are one of your best selling points ☹️
We're loved our night and you gave my son a little cake for his 19th birthday which was very cute
Great service and meal. Pity about the service charge. And we left a tip as well. Didn’t realise till we got home.
Thank you for an incredible vegan meal! One of the nicest vegan dishes that I have ever had. Everything from the succulent olives, sublime fresh, salted bread and divine sweet potato curry was amazing! I will be back very, very soon. Superb service also and wine!
My Wife and I Had a really enjoyable meal here. Staff very attentive and the food was gorgeous. Really enjoyed my whiskey creme brûlée.
Will definitely return. Need to book a table well in advance to avoid disappointment.
We had a booking for 3.30pm but were not seated at our table until 4.10pm and no one came to take our order when we were seated. Once we did get served the experience improved
4 of us dined at 3pm on Saturday. The waiter who took our orders pulled the menus from us angrily. They had no champagne by the glass, how can that be the case and they didn’t have the Dublin blonde beer. Before the waiter left, I think he may have realized his behavior was not good as he came over before he left saying that he was tired. The place is lovely but does not make up for the short falls we encountered
Had a really nice meal and will definitely be back on my next visit to Dublin.
Food and atmosphere is incredible but we were sat down over an hour after our table was booked & the waiter was very abrupt and rude. Was a shame as we were looking forward to this for my friends 21st birthday.
Really enjoyed a late night dinner at The Ivy, enjoyed a great fillet steak, a nice bottle of red recommended by the waiter and a few too many cocktails.
Great Christmas buzz about the place as well.
In short, the food was lovely but the service was almost non existent. Wouldn’t go back purely down to the terrible service which is a pity.
Excellent- really enjoyable treat on weekend away before Christmas Thank you for such a wonderful table.
Buzzy and festive
Had lovely tea and scones with my friend to celebrate her baby due in Jan
Interiors are the highlight of the restaurant. Food is mediocre and nothing outstanding. Lack of knowledge among staff re: allergens. Service was slow. Nice atmosphere but wouldn’t return for food!
Food cold, tea cold. This is third time visiting and can't understand why food is not piping hot.
I think the problem is it takes too long to go from kitchen to table. I asked for a slice of bread and I had food eaten , tea drank, paper read when bread came.
Great decor nice ambience really poor service good food
A lovely restaurant with nice decor / ambience. Food lovely but way over priced. Rip off Ireland is alive and well !
This was our 3rd time there in about 3 months but this time my friends chicken was pink, service was poor and not timely and when you are spending €70 pp you expect a lot more. Ambiance with and decor are cool but at the end of the day you expect good food and service e which we didn’t receive. Will not be going back any time soon.
The food was good and the staff excellent. However in our view the ambience was poor primarily due to the lighting. Eventually it was dimmed down though at this time of year that should have happened at lease an hour earlier. The restaurant really did look like a lighthouse till the lights were turned down. Made a huge difference. And it was noisy. Most people go to a restaurant to chat and to be honest that wasn't easy given the noise level at times.
Beautiful restaurant. Will definitely be returning
Waiter seemed completely disinterested if not a bit rude
Very good food - everyone catered for - service excellent!
Amazing food, lovely decor and the staff very friendly would definitely go back again
Great evening, delicious food and very good service.
Excellent evening.. staff were so professional. Food was amazing. Venue beautiful. Cant wait to go back!
Enjoyable and reasonably priced. Staff pleasant
First table for 2 was terrible, we asked to be moved and we got a good table. People should not be seated so close to others that conversations can be clearly heard.
Lovely set lunch with a corner window table, beautiful soup and salmon, finished off with delicious chocolate cake - will definitely visit again. Only off note was the service charge protest - valid I think
A great atmosphere and buzz in this place, and the decor is beautiful. Our waiter was very helpful and informative. the food was delicious, the blackened cod was excellent and the cocktails afterwards were the perfect way to finish off our meal. we didn't order dessert as we were full from our starter and mains.
Mess up at check in to our table, impersonal service, lack lustre food.
Had an enjoyable evening. Food was good but could be better. Service was OK, would not have given a tip as large as the service charge that was automatically added. Had to ask twice for a glass of wine, had finished my meal by the time it arrived.
Nice surprise to be able to book a table only the day before especially in this Christmas Season. Booking was easy online . The restaurant exterior looked very festive and the Receptionist was very welcoming and pleasant and showed us to a nice table for two close to the front window . The decor is different , almost colonial and certainly plenty to look at on the walls . Unfortunately, there was some “ lost in translation “ with the drinks orders and some of the waiting staff seemed to be a little inexperienced. However, Scott ( I think that was his name ) was extremely professional and friendly especially when my husbands minute steak was a tad sinewy . Overall, the food was good and not too pricey, which was a nice bonus . I certainly enjoyed my choices of Pumpkin soup and chicken as a main . Chocolate truffles with mint tea were yummy !
The courgette bites were also a lovely accompaniment to our drinks . We would definitely go again .
Everything at high standard
Just get some staff not to act like they are more important than the paying customer
Hard to believe it was the little blonde girl at the door taking the coats was acting like she owned the place and customers were a just a bother to her.
Great service. Very buzzy. Fab decor. Food was good. Didn't like being charged for service that doesn't go to staff.
Had an excellent lunch, great table and very good food. Staff very helpful
Fantastic Afternoon Tea Experience!! Good value too!!
Very disappointed as food came out cold and took approximately 2 hours to serve 3 courses
