Very enjoyable evening, unfortunately curtailed by COVID curfew. Fabulous staff

Magical winter wonderland @theivy - fantastic food and ambience matched by waiter service that was spot on.

I enjoyed the evening the outdoor space was lovely. The service was just very slow

Buzzing atmosphere. Lighting perfect. Service was spot on; very attentive and helpful.
We had several vegetarian starters (‘tapas stylie’) which were delicious. We would have stayed longer and enjoyed their wine selection had Covid restrictions not dictated the time limit. Would definitely go again ...

Really lovely venue. The service was particularly good on this occasion. Great to go with a partner, family or friends. We love it.

Lovely late lunch post Christmas...cooked to perfection. Great atmosphere and excellent service. We struggled to hear the waiter slightly due to wearing a mask and quite high background noise. But overall a real treat.

Breakfast was lovely even though neither of us actually ordered what they gave us, but I’m not one for complaining... for that I shouldn’t have really payed the service charge seen as it was more than my original order

Absolutely amazing evening!! It couldn’t have been any better. The food was lovely and the atmosphere was so welcoming. I must say our waitress Kam was perfect, she made us laugh and made the whole night more special. She is a credit to the restaurant!

We had a Wonderful time at the Ivy. Managed to get a parking space right outside .
We felt very safe in the restaurant and the food and service was excellent

Gorgeous breakfast at the ivy had pancakes eggs and full English would of like to see Christmas cocktail menu but espresso martinis are always delicious

Amazing service at the Ivy. Attention to detail is superb . Beautiful food , we had breakfast , my daughter who’s 9 just wanted pastries , there was a selection but they kindly let her have croissants instead of a selection .

Nice meal good service ... little bit expensive for what we had.

excellent meal although it did take a while for our first drinks to arrive... I put that down to being very busy at the time we ate.

Started very well and pleasant waiter kindly moved us inside when the rain started dripping on the table . However the inside waitress was unhelpful and we overheard her complaining to other staff that we had requested a second bottle of wine (ten minutes prior to her complaining ) She then came over to the table to explain why she was so long addressing our request “ checking how long our booking was for “ . We had twenty minutes to spare and the restaurant had many empty tables . She was a good ambassador and the Covent Garden restaurant far friendlier

Great feel and ambience to this restaurant and is well worth a visit

Sadly it was obvious other guests didn’t care about the government guidelines. I know it’s hard and not the job of the restaurants to police same households, but it made us feel unsafe with people obviously from different households meeting, eating & drinking inside. Well sadly it’s the action of these arrogant individuals that contribute to us moving up a tier. They have probably worked through lockdown and are not in hospitality, retail or beauty, we on the other hand have all suffered tremendously and do make every effort to stick to the government guidelines. Thank you to those people but I have to put some blame on “The Ivy” because there are lots of other restaurants that can do it so why can’t you? We couldn’t wait to get out as soon as the table of 4 men came in and sat behind us laughing and enjoying their magnum of champagne 🍾

Meet & greet despite COVID all very professional. Food as expected - very good.

Overall we have enjoyed our experience apart from the lady at the reception, who has been unprofessionally rude, when we asked our tables to be positioned next to each other, which was later sorted with no problems. And when another family from our party arrived they were astounded by her attitude on arrival too. I understand it’s difficult and busy times and a lot of confusions happen, but professionalism must be present

The Ivy never fails to deliver on atmosphere and friendly attentive staff.
The food overall is good to very good. The wine is expensive £42 for a fairly average Sauvignon Blanc although this doesn't stop us returning.

Visited The Ivy in Harrogate twice now and always been amazing service, always happy to go above and beyond. I enjoy garlic sauce with my steak which unfortunately they don’t offer but the chefs are happy to make one! Was once let down by the service at The Ivy in Leeds, however can never fault York and will definitely be returning.

Food was lovely

The man serving us was extremely rude. The food was bland not worth the money at all. Steak very fatty . Atmosphere was great and a lot of the other staff were brilliant. A lot of friends go here and had recommended to me so very disappointed

Wonderful ambiance , friendly professional staff , good food . The outside dinning is superb with roaring fire and twinkling lights ... stunning .

On arrival at the restaurant, my husband and two children were having their temperatures taken which left me standing half in the door way which wasn’t a problem to me but I was asked quite rudely by one of the ladies who seat you to close the door as there were children sitting just inside the restaurant My own young children were with me and it clearly wasn’t deliberate but a squeeze. The lady’s manner was quite rude. She then proceeded to show us to our table which ironically was directly in front of the doors to the outside seating area. I had booked the table in august so the position of the table was disappointing. It was so cold by the door which was of course opened constantly that my 8 year old daughter and I had to wear our coats and we were repeatedly apologised to by waiting staff as bills and napkins blew into us. The table service was slow - my husband had eaten his starter before our drinks arrived and our wine was held away from the table but rarely topped up
Leaving us with empty glasses. The food was fine as was the atmosphere in the restaurant but the overall experience was poor.

Super staff go out of their way to make you feel relaxed and enjoy your experience.
