Have been a few times and never disappointed, we where given a seat where I had asked, my two sister's had come to visit and I took them here for lunch, great time had by all
Enjoyable meal but a bit pricey for what we had. Atmosphere was very good and the decor lovely but has to be a special occasion for the price.
Beautiful restaurant and similar to the London restaurant in some ways. Attentive but no overly so staff made our day special
Lovely staff, I was really hungry though and I felt quite ill by the time the food arrived, the place wasn't busy and we only ordered 2 steak sandwiches. It took around 45 mins to arrive. The manager did apologise so that was fine, however she promised to email me about what happened and she never did.
Very nice really enjoyed everything about this place would defo be going again
Excellent Food, great service and completely wicked Vesper Martinis! Best I've had (except for those I make myself!).
Recommended on all fronts - you won't regret it.
Having visited both The Ivy in central London and the one in Chelsea Gardens we were eager to try one closer to our doorstep. We were not disappointed and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The only downside was how close the tables were crammed together. You could hear every word the people next to you were saying. We didn't experience this in London.
We came for my wife’s birthday treat and were overwhelmed by the friendliness of the staff. They really made us feel welcome. The food was wonderful with a great choice on the menu. The chocolate bomber is to die for.
Quickly taken to our table but we had a long wait for our drinks, thank goodness some had deliver water to the table.
The food was excellent using beautiful fresh ingredients - you can tell the difference!
Will be back, no need for an excuse!
Great restaurant, great food and slick service. Only small criticism was that it was rather chilly!
Lovely atmosphere and the best food I have ever had.
Beautiful restaurant, excellent menu and the food was beautifully presented. Service was friendly and attentive; overall a fab dining experience.. Highly recommended!
Very tasty food, well presented. One of our party is a coeliac and was very happy with a good choice of options from the menu, including dessert . The service is very attentive with helpful and knowledgeable staff - nothing is too much trouble. Will definitely return and would highly recommend .
This was a lunch with friends. It exceeded my expectations. Surroundings were very plush, the food and drink was far less “chain restaurant” than I expected (we were having the set lunch) and the waiting staff never made us feel rushed. Good coffee too. I’d definitely go again.
Lovely atmosphere. Friendly and efficient staff. Excellent food.
It was our first visit to The Ivy, the staff were very friendly and attentive. It’s beautifully decorated and we loved everything about it.
We rated the value at three star, as it was a little pricey for breakfast, having said that it certainly wouldn’t stop us returning.
We thoroughly enjoyed our food and drinks. Only thing is we felt the tables for 2 were too close together. We could hear everything that was being said on the tables either side of us. I’d ask to sit somewhere different next time
First rate service and food with attractive surroundings, comfortable chairs, wines are a little pricey but, overall, we will return and recommend.
Lovely restaurant, staff very friendly. Great choices on the menu. The food didn’t disappoint. Will definitely visit again.
Great main courses. Two of our group were disappointed that their soup was served in cold bowls therefore soup was only just warm. With hindsight they both said they should have sent it back.
A date with my wife. Champagne cocktail to start. A lovely table for four, even though only two of us. Very friendly staff. Main course and sweet from the a la carte menu. Very good choice on the menu. Both our meals were good. Chocolate bomb for sweet, delicious !
The menu was varied, you could just have something light, a sandwich or soup. Breakfast or afternoon tea.
Definitely come again.
Enlarge the entrance foyer as at the moment it is a health and safety hazard. Service was good but difficult to understand how they had run out of Steak sandwich by mid day but could still offer me steak egg and chips!! The smoke salmon and crab sandwich was very very good and we both decided it was the best we had ever had. My pudding Lemon Alaska pie was good but my Wifes Frozen Berries with Hot chocolate sauce was too frozen for her to eat.Unfortunately when the Bill came although they had not charged for the the Berries they had charged for my non exsistant Steak sandwich!! Overall a very interesting Lunch.
Fourth visit to Harrogate one, didn't disappoint!
Service is impeccable, good food and a warm welcome!
One fiasco after another. Steaks were just ok. Expected better.
Excellent meal, attentive staff, lovely atmosphere nothing was too much trouble first time dining at the Ivy would recommend and will definitely be returning soon.
I went to the ivy in the evening to take my mum out for mother's day. Easy to book a table for 2 and did this a few days in advance. Beautiful interior, really nice decor, was greeted by friendly staff. We were shown a really cosy table for 2 with soft chairs. Our server, Rhiannon, was excellent and very attentive, we were made to feel very comfortable during our dining experience. The selection of food is locally sourced, and very diverse choices for all and delicious and affordable. After splashing out £150 for 2 bottles of wine, starters, mains and sides I think was excellent pricing. I'd go again for sure and want to try their lunch options. Excellent addition to Harrogate and I hope they stay here a long time.
Wonderful lunch for Mother’s Day with beautiful cuisine and great service
An excellent choice for a mother’s Day brunch - was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone! Not badly priced for the quality and service received so will definitely be visiting again. However, as it is not the cheapest option, another visit will likely be made on another special occasion. My only slight issue was the 12.5% optional service charge added to the bill. I feel that the addition of a 10% service charge is acceptable for the service received and this fits in with the National accepted % for service charge, 12.5% seemed slightly over the top.
We visited The Ivy at lunchtime and can't wait to go again for dinner.
The whole experience was excellent,a lovely ambience with the most excellent food and amazing personal service.
Absolutely lovely place and great service. The food was gorgeous, well presented and tasted better than it looked. I actually booked for lunch but arrived early and ate off the breakfast menu. Outstanding couldn't fault, I know it's new but very clean and all staff were great. Highly recommend and I'm very picky.
Unexpected kick with the prawn cocktail sauce but still nice. Might put some people off so should be clear from the menu.
Had the ribeye steak and was one of the best steaks I’ve had for a long time.
Reading the menu was difficult due to low ambient lighting. Lots of people using phone torch to enable reading.
Good atmosphere, food excellent, would recommend the slow cooked lamb and the roast salmon. Service good, friendly and helpful . Will definitely go back .
Disappointing first visit.
My steak tartar, supposed to be a delicate dish, blew my head off. You would swear it had a good qty of Wasabi in it, you could not taste a thing. I have enjoyed this dish many times in France and never experienced this.
Forgot to bring the wine that was ordered until i reminded them as the main course arrived and forgot one of my two sides dishes. If the wine had come when it should we would have had 2 bottles......
Mains were very good.
Too much attention by the many young staff being a little too portentous on the door and not enough getting basics right in house
Very disappointing. All food was bland and tasteless and definitely not worth the money. Will not be returning.
I didn’t find the service particularly good. Lovely greeting when we walked in but serving staff let the place down. We had to pour our own wine and had to get up walk across the room to an ice bucket with our table number on. Several tables wine in same bucket. Anyone could help themselves
The whole thing was extremely good. The service is impeccable and the ambiance in the place on Saturday afternoon was great. This was an early Mother's Day treat and my mother fell in love with the place.
We had a great afternoon, it excelled our expectations. I will certainly book again
The main disappointment was the quality of the food. My husband and I both had the steak sandwich with chips. On reflection, whilst the steak itself was delicious and perfectly cooked, we both felt the bread it came in had been toasted just a little too much and the chips were over done making them a little dry. The dessert, which was the chocolate bomb, was delicious!
Had a lovely brunch for Mother's Day. Food was very good and the service was excellent.
The food was good, but the service was terrible. We were first seated in the bar area. We waited more than 15 minutes before a member of staff took an order for drinks (and only after we had to ask) and then more than 15 minutes before they arrived. We were still eating our starters when they turned up with the main courses, and then tried to put the plates down without clearing anything away. We did have a lovely lady serving us, but the training of the staff for a high end restaurant must be seriously lacking .
