We sat in the garden and it was great
Another great evening . Food was delicious
Sevice very good and a lovely atmosphere
Very lively but not too noisy . The early menu is great value . A great place for people
Watching as well .
Lovely lunch experience from start to finish! We were celebrating two birhdays and the food and service were exceptional!
My meal was quite basic but great looking place
Great drinks menu
Excellent food and service, which was most helpful we will return again without hesitation. The only problem is the background conversation noise, possibly where we were sitting, but we were unable to converse comfortably.
Great venue. Fantastic friendly waitress
(B. Miroslava). Food to Ivy standard. Great presentation.
Going to The Ivy would be recommended between Sunday-Thursday. Weekend service and food quality not as good. Highly recommend the scallops and yellowfin tuna. Chocolate bomb for dessert was impressive.
Great atmosphere and great service. Food was tasty and well cooked.
Me and my baby daughter took my husband for a very special 1st Father’s Day meal. It was an extremely special day for my husband as it was a surprise, his first time at the Ivy and of course his 1st Father’s Day. When I booked on line it said additional comments and I explained that we were bringing my husband for the special meal that it was his first Fahers Day. When we got to the Ivy they saw we had a baby so put us to the back of the restaurant out of the way and didn’t make it special at all. It’s the little touches like this that makes a restaurant stand out. It’s quite disappointing with a restaurant that’s got such a high reputation to not do anything to make that moment special. I’ve been to the Ivy in Chelsea and also York. We enjoyed the service and the food was ok but it could have been better. I find it pretty average and again it’s just become a chain which makes it quite a standard place to eat.
All good would definitely visit again
Excellent from ease of booking, through reception and service on 'Father's Day'.
Not especially cheap but overall very enjoyable and worthwhile.
Helpful staff, very attentive and polite. Breakfast was lovely
The food was poor, and unfortunately had to be sent back as the Monkfish & prawn curry didn't have any Monkfish in it and only 2 prawns.
Nice bar, good food and nice atmosphere. My only criticism is how long we had to wait to sit down. If you give customers a 20 minute window to turn up after their booking time then it should really work the other way. We arrived at 9pm for a 9.15 booking and didn't sit down at out table until 9.50 !!1
Lovely place with a great atmosphere. Food is good but the drinks are ridiculously expensive. There is also a service charge of 12.5% added to the bill.
Love the ambiance. Staff very attentive and good tasty food.
The service food everything was excellent, well worth a visit
Beautiful restaurant and lovely food. Slightly disappointed we have to ask for condiments twice. Would happily recommend
Went on a weekday afternoon with my family. We all had different dishes and all looked amazing and tasted great. Lovely, relaxed ambience and super service.
The staff were very welcoming and our waitress, Amy, was very attentive and kept filling our glasses up without us even noticing - perfect! The food was amazing and the set menu was great value for money. We will definitely be returning.
Excellent place with great staff. Table was a bit small and a coffee refill would have been nice. Great place though.
The service was truly exceptional . Food was as good if not better than other Ivy restaurants we have been to. Discounts given off our bill as it was our anniversary . Just generally spoilt . Ambience perfect, had a great table. I would recommend to anyone . Thanks so much Ivy Harrogate staff 😀
Overall good lunch but I did get a sweet fizzy drink spilt all over my trousers! It's been beautifully done up and it was a lovely place to meet a friend... Fairly pricey
I went with three friends who hadn’t been before. Throughout the meal they congratulated me on such a good choice of venue. The whole experience was faultless - very professional, but with a casual atmosphere at the same time. I had crab and courgette linguine with chilli oil followed by an individual baked Alaska with lemon ice cream on a crispy sponge - both divine.
The Ivy is a very nice local restaurant for us but I would like the core menu to change occasionally also a few more specials on the menu. We could go more often than we do but as the menu is the same every time, there are no surprises and only a couple of specials.
Great Food, Service. Only let down was empty restaurant and those that were there were sat on top
Of each other.
Really enjoy the Ivy, booked for my husband’s birthday. All fabulous. Very slick service, delicious food.
We arrived to be greeted by friendly staff who were very attentive and helpful. It was for my birthday and the party chose the Set Menu which was excellent value for money and we all enjoyed the food we chose. As it was a hot day we decided to finish with coffees in the garden which was very pleasant. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
My friends and I were disappointed with the food. Ordered 3 steak & eggs 2 to be well done, these were rare and swimming in blood. They were not at all tasty.
The friends who ordered Shepherds Pie waited a further 5 minutes+ for her veg to arrive.
We are pleased we have tried The Ivy but all agreed we wouldn't be visiting again.
Good restaurant. Classy service and food is really tasty. It’s a bit fancier than most places, so great for special occasions.
We visited for our first wedding anniversary, felt special, service was great and food was very tasty!
Lovely place and great food to meet friends and family
the outside patio looked amazing
Sitting in the lovely garden on a beautifully sunny day transported us to al fresco Tuscany dining; gorgeous! Yummy food & great service.
I love the place but the drinks are so slow. The last twice I have been the food arrives before your drinks. It shouldn't take 30mins to make a G & T!
This isn't the place you go on a whim, or for a quick bite. The service is great, the atmosphere and the food was nice, the wine also. For a special occasion I would recommend it but it is pricey (even for Harrogate). I am also not a big fan of the 20% service charge they put on! I do think the service was good don't get me wrong and definitely deserved a tip but I would have preferred to choose how much, it made the bill rather expensive (nearly £20 extra) and is a big reason why I wouldn't go back regularly. I worked in the industry whilst being a student and it is infuriating when you have given great service and do not get a tip or get very little so I understand why they have put that, but perhaps having an option to give 5, 10, 15 or 20 % rather than just whacking on a 20% charge (this isn't america, waiting staff do get a decent minimum wage). The service was good, but I have had just as good service elsewhere that did not demand a tip but free to give what was right.
Lovely, we had a brilliant time, highly recommend to anyone visiting Harrogate
Nice ambience. Good mix of clientele. Outdoor area looked lovely. Food was delicious. Tempura prawns very very tasty. Very good service.
Amazing service. Delicious food. Great ambience. The best in Harrogate.
Was s good as ever. Only complaint, a bit noisy and some peoples idea of smart casual is not mine
Took my elderly parents who were impressed. All enjoyed our meal. Staff friendly. Accommodated dad’s walker by the table. Good access to toilets. Very enjoyable.
