The restaurant setting and food were sublime. The highlight was our wonderful service from your team and in particular, our waitress Georgina. Georgina's service was impeccable; she was attentive, kind, warm, knowledgeable, friendly and nothing was too much trouble for her. Best waitress I've had for a LONNNG time!!

Beautiful building and decor. We were looking forward to a real treat. Unfortunately we booked on Brighton pride. Very busy and noisy plus a DJ that made it feel like we were dining in a nightclub. Staff too busy to give attentive service, they all looked hassled and embarrassed. Such a shame.

We regularly visit The Ivy restaurants in various locations and would say that the standard at this one was generally good but not the best. The host was a little rude and unhelpful upon arrival and the music so loud we couldn’t have a conversation with the waiters having to point! The food was good but certain dishes a little overpriced. Would probably not lunch at this branch again as others (Winchester, Soho, London and Covent Garden, London) much better experience overall.

We wanted to go for brunch before Brighton Pride. We were a little late but not an issue. We wanted more breakfast dishes but were told breakfast closed at 11. So we were just gone 11, and the only breakfast dishes were eggs Benedict, or pancakes. I didn’t want a shepherd pie, or curry at 11am so had the fish cake, which was lovely. I have to admit when booking, I asked if they were doing a Pride brunch, I was simply told “we always do brunch “ It didn’t feel special for such a special day in Brighton. I’ll go elsewhere next year for our special day.

dreadful. We were looking for a venue for a special family gathering and having used the ivy in london we thought it was reliable boy were we wrong. had the waitress behaving as a jobs worth as we us considering the wine menus as she was tutting over us choosing then at the end of the meal told us her life story which no one was interested in for 10 mins . the venue didn’t have air consitionitiln so we sat outside on a road covered in glass (come on ivy you could have brushed that up in your area or astro turfed it ?!?) a dreadful busker that meant that we couldn’t hear each other and a dumpster lol . never entered an ivy before and said look guys were not staying have a starter and one glasses of wine - it has the ambience of a whether spoons saving grace was the food but to be honest past all that who noticed it - def won’t go again

Lovely place but the thudding music I felt affected the overall ambiance of such a stylish restaurant and our enjoyment of our afternoon tea. Staff were helpful and pleasant. We were asked if we wanted water when we arrived but not told it would cost £4. Would like to try again for lunch.

Very disappointed with our second visit. It was incredibly hot as apparently the air con was broken. The food was mediocre, the chicken tough and the steak not much better. Total cost for two drinks and two mains was £90. Certainly not returning

We decided to have lunch at the Ivy for our anniversary rather than go up to London as we often do. Noticed that it has a dress code which suggests that if men wear jeans they should be dark and worn with polished shoes. It was a hot day but I followed those directions. Quite surprised therefore to see several other diners wearing shorts and trainers and in one case a Hawiian shirt. Not sure why the Ivy should indicate such a strict dress code when most Michelen star restaurants we've been to don't but at least they should stick to it. The dining room is very nice, but we were surprised that there was loud music with a disco beat. We asked one of our servers if it's always that loud and she that at the weekend it's even louder and they have a DJ. She said she'd have a word with her manager and to be fair the volume was reduced a bit. Not sure why a restaurant with certain pretentions should seem it necessary though. Let's get to the food. We shared a goats cheese starter that was quite tasty but not remarkable. There was no catch of the day but the lemon sole was recommended so I had that. It was fine. My wife had the fishcake and enjoyed it. We shared a side dish of peas and mange tout. We shared a dessert of frozen berries and ice cream which was refreshing. Although the food was good in our view it's overpriced. My wife said that the fishcakes over the road in Brown's are different but just as good. The goats cheese wasn't a patch on the one I recently had at Pierre Victoire in London. The service was excellent, all of the servers were friendly and helpful. I don't regret going but I wouldn't go again.
