Baked Alaska for Two
with Griotte cherries
Grilled Calves' Liver
mash, bacon & sage with melted onions
Very good indeed, never fails to please the taste buds
Fantastic food, steak melted in my mouth will be going again.
The menu really needs an overhaul, bang bang chicken lacked any bang, the sea bass was ok and the sides quite nice!
Always a favourite, I never have a bad time at the Ivy. the original and definitely the best
Although quite expensive for the food the quality and service was fantastic. I will be booking again in the near future
Beautiful interior, great food, friendly staff. Highly recommended!
Wonderful lunch with very good service
Great service, enjoyed a sophisticated lunch at the counter top seating.
Really lovely dinner as usual, excellent wine list with a decent selection of champagne, although it would be nice to see some that are a little more different.
Food was exceptional as always, great steaks, the sea bass was fab, and the baked Alaska is always a must for us, it’s delicious and a great bit of table theatre.
Great food, surprisingly awful service. Nice for it to be back though…
Birthday celebration at the bat - excellent wine and food and service - couldn’t have been better
Great food, with amazing atmosphere. The staff are awesome.
Elegant surroundings, and beautiful ambiance. Food and service were top notch
Excellent as usual. Thank you!
Not Good Enough!
A good as ever with very friendly and attentive service. Can’t fault the food - after such a good lunch I didn’t need any dinner which is always a good sign! After having so little alcohol recently one Martini and a glass of wine meant I couldn’t manage the usual Espresso Martini for dessert - I’ll have to make up for it next time!
Loved it. Amazing friendly service. Great food. Didn’t want to leave
Arrived slightly early but accommodated at bar. We were originally to be seated upstairs but one of our group had surgery recently on her foot so they kindly reseated us all downstairs. Food was amazing, staff were attentive. We all had steaks which were a great size and perfectly cooked. The baked Alaska was flambéd at the table and was amazing.
Fabulous food and staff
Great food, really buzzy vibe but the time slots feel just a bit too short when you’re celebrating a special occasion and we felt a bit rushed out at the end.
It’s always nice to eat here. It’s lively so expect noise. Tables are very close together so can’t have an intimate conversation. The food and service was great
Always a pleasure to dine here
The host when I arrived served the person behind me before me (she waited for me to open the door and walk in, then opened the door for the person behind me and served them first).
The food was ok, the menu was a bit old fashioned and would have been nice to see some more modern meals
Was quite expensive for what it was
It was such a delight to have lunch at The Ivy yesterday. The staff were helpful and pleased to see us after lockdown and they made the occasion with their service and good humour. The food was delicious and a real treat that both me and my sister enjoyed.
Great food and excellent service. Iconic venue for a meal.
Enjoyed the experience and would go back again
Excellent visit thanks so much to everyone !
Having booked a table for a birthday lunch 10 days in advance, I called three days before to confirm the booking and ask for a ‘birthday plate. Upon arrival it was incredibly busy and the receptionist said they were getting our places for ‘bar dining’ ready. I advised her I had booked an actual table and she told me I had definitely booked bar dining. On their website it says that bar dining is for walk ins and not for reservations so I know I hadn’t booked this. I showed her my email reservation and miraculously a table was found. The service at the table was great - efficient, friendly and polite. We were not given the option of the set menu that is on their website and even though we ordered the options on it - were charged full price. The birthday plate did not arrive. I didn’t bother complaining at the time as I didn’t want to embarrass my guest whose birthday it was. The food was okay. Drinks are expensive. Overall completely underwhelmed. A premium place like this should make you feel special and little touches like a simple happy birthday on a plate I don’t think is too much to expect when you are paying over the odds for pub food.
Great service from the team
Good food and wine
Worth every penny!
Very enjoyable with great views and wonderful service.
A super classic
Loved it as always
Thank you all
Extremely tasty food with perfect portion size . Only disappointed was the caviar spoon it was not suitable to eat the caviar . Recommend getting a mother of Pearl caviar spoon rather than a soup spoon :-)
I also stated it was my mums 70th birthday when I booked but this was not recognised
Very good quality and good value getting back after lockdown
Went to celebrate a birthday but weren’t treated very specially. Took a while to be seats then food took more than half hour to come which meant we didn’t even have time for dessert- that was going to be another 15min wait. Had wanted to visit the ivy for a long time but very disappointed. Steak was ok but nothing special
The service was very welcoming, and the food was delicious. I chose the cheese soufflé and calves liver, washed down with a pleasant pinot noir, and was not disappointed.
I would have been happier if our friendly waiter had worn his mask properly, rather than just barely covering his mouth but not his nose.
Great location, friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Service and food are second to none. Will be returning soon.
a true London classic great to see old friends on the menu Bang Bang
Food and ambiance was lovely. Was rushed off the table as there was another booking which was abit of a shame as we had we hadn’t finished our bottle. Thankfully after mentioning this we were moved to the bar to finish everything.
There were too many staff behind the greeting desk and no one actually helping. We were ushered through to a very compact table for 2 with our coats and shopping bags. It was only just before our starters that a waiter offered to take them from us. The waiter couldn't answer our basic wine questions and no sommelier there to help. Really were basic questions as well. The roadt chicken was cooked perfectly but the sorrels were cold. The roast lamb was too pink and the fat hadn't been crisped or rendered. I was expecting much more given the restaurants reputation
