A very poor experience. Kept waiting for 30 minutes before we were shown to our table, to then be told, yes told as we sat down to hurry up and order as they were running out of time to take our order. We then had to order all three courses, and the food was out back to back. Overall, we had a seat at our table for 45 in total.
Would never go back to this restaurant.
The waiter/manager, who ever he was, realised how bad it was so took the wine off our bill. But regardless, the service and experience were shockingly terrible.
We’d had lunch at 34 Mayfair that same day- now, that is a place to try! Great food, awesome experience, beautiful setting.
Always a good experience especially just as we go into lockdown round two. Thanks for a great experience.
Reliable, great experience. Perhaps a bit expensive for what is, after all, comfort food.
Great restaurant and pre-drinks bar. Deserved excellent reputation. Service, food and atmosphere are all brilliant
Sunday Roast - Excellent!!!!!!! Great Food, Great Venue!!!
Impeccable in every way as usual
As a special treat for my daughters 21st Birthday, the Ivy didn't disappointing. The decor and ambience was stunning. Service was amazing and the food great. A little overpriced for what we had but as a one off, couldn't fault it.
A cosy and warm venue for a visit on a particularly miserable day.
Everything was great but the food especially was outstanding.
Great cheese shuffle, good beetroot salad, very good service
Very poor social distancing. Not even 50cm between each table let alone 1-2 meters. Could hear Both tables conversations very clearly.
Food was nice although steak was seared too much around the outside and therefore slightly tough.
Cold pudding which had to be sent back to be reheated. Bang bang chicken salad was beautiful.
Slightly disappointing experience over all
Great ambience with very good food and service. The menu is very varied and offers things you don't always see elsewhere which is a big plus. The Ivy continues to one of our favourite restaurants
Despite COVID measures it felt quite normal. Shame the bar is not manned at the moment.
Nice food & made a birthday quite special
Had a lovely Sunday lunch here. The staff were so attentive and lovely. The food arrived promptly and was delicious. Would definitely visit again as such a super experience.
Brilliant. As ever. This classic venue never disappoints.
Wedding Anniversary, wanted something a bit special and we found it. Great food, great service and wonderful vibe.
Beautiful restaurant and amazing food. Ox cheek stew was 5star.
Thanks a lot to the entire team, see you next time! x
Service was very slow, 2 mains came out cold
This was a sudden business dinner arrangement. Discrete but attentive service. Food was excellent. Very tasty and not too much which worked well. Ambience amazing given that social distancing through pandemic in place. Staff very pleasant.
All lovely apart from the fact you can only really have two courses in 1.5 hours. The Ivy are very happy to take your desert order then ask you to leave without giving you time to eat it.
Felt very rushed to get off our table.
Has the fish and chips which had soggy batter which turned an excellent fish into an unpleasant meal. I will stick to ivy cafe or grill in future. Very disappointing
Got a table literally 30 minutes before going on the spur of the moment. That’s unheard of 😕. Nevertheless room relatively busy, buzzy and enjoyable lunch as always.
Magical - thank you.
Food taste a bit salty.
Excellent in all fronts as always and good value.
Welcomed with a complementary glass of campaigne, sat at a great table, the ambience of Restaurant felt very welcoming and the service was outstanding.
I would recommend anybody to try it.
Amazing food and service. Amazed to be able to get a table. Loved the ambience.
Food was really great at The Ivy, really enjoyed the evening, and the waitress was extremely warm, and very attentive. Only shame is that Covid has dampened the atmosphere a little inside, but do appreciate this is a difficult time for everyone, particularly the hospitality industry.
We had a very enjoyable evening at the Ivy. The food was very good and fresh and nice portion size. The service was good and the waiter very friendly
A bit disappointing given it’s reputation. Ivy Cafes are better.
First visit to the Ivy, the excellent COVID practices in place.
Seated straight away and attended to within a few moments. Presentation of the menus and time to choose was spot on.
Food excellent, service excellent, surroundings excellent. Couldn’t ask for more. Thank you
Eating at The Ivy is always a treat. Every member of staff is skilled and courteous and the food is beautifully cooked and presented. Our waiter was exemplary and went above and beyond to ensure that we had everything we wanted.
Very good. Staff were exceptional and food was worth every penny.
We will return when the current restrictions allow for more time to enjoy.
Had a really fabulous dining experience and would Highly recommend it. Staff were very friendly and helpful
Awesome restaurant that just oozes class. We were here for my wife's birthday and it didn't fail to impress, from the great service, excellent food and great ambiance it really hit the spot.
Would definitely recommend
Just what you expect. Wonderful service and delicious food.
I felt very 'Covid'safe. All staff observed rules etc.
Lady (blonde) at reception desk was useless - no welcome, not polite nor friendly and clueless about calling our taxi. The rest of the staff were attentive snd made up for her but felt I should still score low. This is the Ivy flagship, after all. Had better reception at Ivy Cafes!
