Fabulous place to eat for a special occasion. Never had so much duck in a curry and it was mouth watering. Service was faultless and they made you feel very special
Lovely style and setting with interesting food and ambience.
Only disappointing part was some of the service. Felt a bit as though we were doing the waiters a service by being there rather than feeling well looked after... but otherwise great.
excellent first class brunch ...great food perfectly cooked, the only problem waiting too long for coffee as they don't have the capacity in the morning when everyone wants coffee but this is a very minor observation
A pleasure from start to finish. Good ambiance (busy Saturday evening), excellent service and great food with a wide range of choice for our companions.
We arrived after a funeral, very dispirited. The staff, unaware of this, were nevertheless exceptionally considerate. We were looked after so well and the food was delicious. We left feeling so much better. Thank you.
Fantastic afternoon tea, excellent quality and value for money. It was very noisy in there unfortunately and minor point - it would have been nice to be offered more tea but that’s just a little feedback on making it extra special.
Nicely decorated and good ambience. Varied menu. Chicken Milanese was delicious with truffle butter. Steak was undercooked and service was slow. We got given dessert menus but waiter didn’t come back to take order so after half hour, we got the bill.
Very late dish arrived for a member of our party which was compensated for...
We went for Brunch on a Saturday - the first time we had been to this restaurant, First impressions were of a very big space, the tables go back a long way, ending up in a conservatory at the back. The place is very nicely decorated , and has a wide ranging menu on offer. Attentive service, almost too attentive as they tried to clear my husbands plate before he had finished. However we didn’t feel rushed. The food was very nice, I was amazed at how many people were there with small children - I wouldn’t have chosen it as a family style restaurant. We would definitely go back for a special occasion or celebration meal. The afternoon tea menu looked lovely and I can imagine in the summer that the tables in the garden are much sought after.
Beautiful setting, no rush service, excellant experience
I have been here many times and usually enjoy it. Unfortunately the food was very disappointing on this occasion, the mains were too salty and a little bland. Best part was the wine! However, we did get a reduction from the bill for one of the mains which was a good gesture.
Lovely atmosphere and decor. Cocktails to start were very good, and the meal didn’t disappoint.
Excellent service, great food and a lovely location.
Great restaurant, staff was very friendly and professional. Food was amazing and delicious non-alcoholic cocktails.
Lovely, absolutely lovely.
We were welcomed and there was no fuss. Despite us being late. I was called to called to check that everything was ok and the team were very patient with us.
Wonderful food, the chocolate bomb was phenomenal and I normally don’t like desserts.
I will definitely return to the restaurant.
Excellent food, efficient service and very good vegetarian food
We had a lovely time and the food was very nice, however a few thing’s spoiled it a bit for us. Firstly, the restaurant, as usual, is quite cold, it is never cosy. Iam sure this is because of the garden, but that doesn’t help. Just upping the temperature a bit would certainly improve the experience. The lady next to me and myself keep our coats on and another couple asked to move to a different area. Secondly, some of the staff mistake efficiency for not being friendly or needing to smile, a mixture of both are needed.
Having said all of that, we will still go back as we love the food.
The lamb rump was chewy, big pieces, not nice. Place was very busy, service was very fast - they just hurried us along. We sat next to « corridor » where staff was coming in and out of kitchen and hanging out between service so it was very noisy. I was not pleased.
We were given a great welcome and shown to our table. Although it was only 1830, the restaurant was busy and had a great atmosphere. The service was fantastic and our courses arrived quickly. The food was piping hot and well presented. The menu was, however, somewhat unadventurous and lacked innovation. For this reason, we have only given it three stars. The quality of the food was very good and well cooked. It was good to see some alcohol-free drinks on the menu. On a personal note, it I would like to see more vegetarian and vegan dishes. Not a cheap night out at about £45.00 per head with only one small beer.
Service was poor and forgetful lost a few drinks orders - not the service levels of my past visits
Great place to meet a friend for lunch, food came out almost too quickly though which made us feel a bit hurried initially , however it was fine and we had a lovely time.
The worst Ivy we have dined at and we have been to many.
Food ok but food and drinks service poor and very slow.
Would not recommend this Ivy as there are many better.
Pity Ivy are expanding so quickly, if Marlow is the new standard then they are in danger of losing their uniqueness and becoming just another High Street chain.
The two waiters serving our table signalled to one another as we were paying the bill that we had excluded the service charge and immediately changed their tone and it was noticeable that they were irked by this. We were in fact intending to leave a cash tip until we noticed them signal one another and eye roll. Disappointing service.
A great dining experience with family and friends.
Superb food, first class service, and no rush.
Will definitely return.
Great place to eat. Food delicious, good service and very nice restaurant
It was a really lovely lunch the only thing that spoiled it a little was the table which was stuck out in the middle of a walkway and very small but everything else made up for it including the little birthday cake they gave us.
What a Beautiful lunch!
Fabulous staff and a wonderful local addition to Marlow always look forward to going
Could do with a little bit more lighting to save using mobile to read the menu.
Had a lovely time.
Beautiful restaurant. The service was superb - specific thanks to Lloyd, our exceptional waiter. The food was spectacular. The Aromatic Duck Curry was the best curry I have had for years. Fantastic place.
Great service, good food but drinks too expensive!!
Generous portions. Food cooked perfectly, always well presented. Our waiter Lloyd was very attentive.
Everything was lovely, we were well looked after. Only comment, mentioned at the time, was that my 92 year old mother was unable to read the menu due to the low lighting and a small torch would have been helpful. Neither of us had a mobile phone!
A most quiet and peaceful lunch. Charming surroundings and ambience
Went there with my friends for my 60th treat and I found a lovely place .
Party of 6 celebrating a 50th birthday. None of us had been before but we will all definitely be returning! Every dish was excellent - the haddock and salmon fish cake was outstanding and the steak was also outstanding. Deserts were enjoyed by all - the rum baba a big hit with the birthday boy ! A great evening with excellent service and a buzzing atmosphere. Cocktails were fabulous too. Really glad we chose the Ivy for our celebration.
We had a lovely family meal at The Ivy,very busy on the Saturday we went
Lovely venue, perfect for catching up with family/friends for brunch. Superb food, great service and good value.
Food was lovely, staff are very polite.. the service was really slow, we had to ask a few times where are drinks were. We were sat next to a big table of women which seemed to me a baby shower brunch who were really loud. We went for my mums 55th birthday and the staff brought out a little cake and candle at the end which was nice.
