Lovely surroundings and atmosphere. Food was good quality. We were Celebrating a birthday and the staff acknowledged this and produced a small gesture dessert with a candle which was much appreciated
Having been before for breakfast this really is a very special setting for a fabulous breakfast in wonderful surroundings and impeccable service it makes a must when visiting Marlow
Delightful Birthday Afternoon Tea for a friend. Buzzy and “grown up” atmosphere. Excellent selection of scrumptious goodies, glass of champagne and tea served in a proper silver teapot.
Wonderful from the minute we stepped through the front door.
Food was lovely and atmosphere good. Totally let down by the service. Slow and no interaction.
Very much led by process - example asked to order food at same time as drinks (we had a short time for lunch). Told she had to put drinks into system first, then took ages to come back.
Some tables had their coats taken some not.
My son and daughter in law gave me a gift voucher for a present. My daughter and I decided to go for Sunday brunch and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was excellent and we weren’t hurried along to finish. We will definitely go again.
The perfect place for a meal out with the girls, the food was fantastic and the staff were lovely.
Beautifully decorated restaurant and all the food was delicious. We were late being seated so offered complimentary drinks. Service was slow at times but all the staff were apologetic and very friendly. Overall we had a fabulous evening.
Good food, great vibe but service was poor. Drinks were slow to come and a couple of things we asked for just never came. Still a lovely evening and staff were very friendly
We celebrated our anniversary at the Ivy in Marlow. We had a great meal, wonderful service from the moment we entered right through to when we left later that evening. Lloyd looked after us throughout our meal and had a really lovely manner, he was extremely attentive without being over bearing. Thank you the Ivy for a special evening, we will be back again soon!
Usual standards except...
After 2 bottles of preferred local lager, no more in stock !! And no Tia Maria for liqueur coffees
Had to wait along time for drinks
Lloyd our waiter was very nice but busy
I had returned from a trip to the States and my husband took me for a meal at my favourite restaurant!
It was a lovely occasion; a warm greeting; delicious food; attentive service....a wonderful welcome home!
I had the most wonderful meal and was delighted with the service received. I will be coming again and will recommend to a friend a visit 😁
We have been several times, wouldn’t say the best night
Our friends who hadn’t been before say they wouldn’t bother again
The shepherds pie was over salted !! 2 of us had that, quite unpleasant
Drinks were very slow, making it not a great experience
Excellent food and service. Conservatory is far too cold for people to enjoy their food. It’s not ideal to wrap yourself in blankets whilst eating dinner at such a restaurant. Other than that everything else was quality and what you’d expect from the Ivy.
I got the impression there was a shortage of waiting staff which resulted in having to ask for a glass, plates, tea cups, spoons, and milk. I’m sure if there had been enough staff it wouldn’t have been a problem.
Very lovely setting, a little noisy but there were several large groups. Our booth was lovely, very cosy. All the staff were great. The food was lovely.
Unfortunately food served was lukewarm
The drinks to start with took ages to come but apart from that the service was good and attentive
Overall pretty good.
Excellent all round with the slight exception of not cooking my poached eggs exactly as I asked. Just a small detail in a sea of loveliness.
Great ambiance. Lovely Sunday lunch. The staff were attentive and friendly. Would definitely come again.
Enjoyed the food , atmosphere, and service. However I was a bit perturbed when I visited the
Ladies toilet, as a girl from the kitchen came out of the toilet and did not wash her hands !!
Suggest you talk to them about how important hygiene is.
Great Sunday lunch at the Ivy for 8 people, atmosphere was great, service was generally good but was slow at times when ordering drinks from the bar, food was very good, prices are fair but drinks are fairly expensive more like London prices. Would recommend the Ivy for great atmosphere, very nice internal decor and bar and high quality food/drinks.
Always an amazing experience! Been there over force times in the past two years and the experience has been consistently great. Service is impeccable. Food delicious. Highly recommended.
Breakfast was cold when arrived. After mentions to staff the second attempt was no better
Long way from kitchen to tables. They need to cover food to keep warm.
Excellent staff today.
Breakfast and service as expected. Restaurant wasn’t very warm. Slightly chilly. Can’t quite put my finger in it but feel like this restaurant is lacking something. Tables and chairs a difficult height to eat comfortably
We arrived an hour early as we planned to sit at the bar and have a few cocktails. However, we were asked to come back as bar area was full. Very disappointing
Busy Saturday evening, we arrived early for pre diner drinks. Table was not ready when booked, but was quickly offered another round of drinks while we waited (10 minutes or so) - overall a great evening our with excellent service from everyone.
We all had a FABULOUSE evening, everything was just perfect.
Great atmosphere, fab cocktails and really tasty, simple food.
Really impressive ambience and service.
Food was very good too. Would highly recommend a visit.
Sadly we had terrible service and it was my mothers birthday treat so a real shame! We had to ask for everything from the menus, to ordering, to chasing our food and even our bottle of wine they poured the first glass of went missing (he then suggested wed drunk it, before the colleague who had whisked it away found it!!). There were lots of staff but no attention to the customer and to say we begrudged the 12.5% tip they automatically added to the bill was an understatement. If we’d been leaving our own tip I’m sure the service would have been better! We didn’t have time to quibble the bill as we were so late because we’d had to chase everything. Not worth the money for what we got at all.
Food was not to good a small amount of steak in chibatta bread Being asked to move to the bar to drink our coffee not good we wasn’t there a massive amount of time so they could have the table. My anniversary meal . Would not go again
Our family visit was lovely to celebrate my husband's birthday. The Manager personally came to our table so we felt very welcomed. Our table was comfortable and perfect for the five of us. The Waitor was also attentive and charming. The only thing I would say is that the heating above our table was warming, however, the floor was cold and we all left with chilly feet taking some time to warm up once home. All in all The Ivy is a great place for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Would definitely recommend the restaurant as The Ivy welcomes all ages and families but in a very nice manner.
Lovely ambiance, they helped us with our baby. My husbands steak sandwich was great, however there was very little avocado on my prawn and avocado open sandwich. Tasted delicious though.
For a sense of timeless class, just a few steps off the high street, you can’t beat The Ivy. Coffee from silver jugs, Eggs Benedict to die for, not too much on the pocket considering the ambience and service. Treat yourselves.
I’m a regular visitor here. My main course fish & chips on two attempts failed to cook crispy batter.
Excellent service as always and we did not pay for the main course.
It’s unusual to say the least , an off day
Looking forward to my next visit !
The Ivy menu just get's better and better. Great service, lovely atmosphere and range of food and drinks. A great evening.
Lovely restaurant with a great menu. Main criticism is its too cramped (really close to tables next to you). Service was excellent and food pretty good but not amazing
Meeting the Girls for dinner, perfect place! Upmarket, classy, lovely atmosphere. Great food.
Hello Ivy. This was our 4th visit. My wife and I both had the Blackened Cod that we had eaten once before when it was perfectly cooked and delicious. This time, both of our fish were overcooked and tough - a real shame. As we were with friends we chose not to complain.
One other point, on one occasion the waitress leaned right across (closely) the lady siting next to me in order to placed my meal, instead of walking round the table - very bad manners and obviously poorly trained.
