The Ivy Montpellier Brasserie, Cheltenham
Located in the stunning grade I listed Montpellier Rotunda building, the restaurant serves breakfast, elevenses, lunch, weekend brunch, afternoon tea and dinner and features a private dining room and a bar, offering relaxed yet sophisticated dining in the popular town in Gloucestershire.
Fabulous, faultless service. Extremely friendly careful and professional team. The food gorgeously presented and great to taste. Vegan menu caters for me and the Keralan curry has been consistent across several different Ivy locations from St Albans to Bath. The rotunda building in Cheltenham is by far the most stunning location I have visited yet and very atmospheric for an evening meal, the lighting, foliage and the circle bar in the centre just perfect. Thank you for making our celebration perfect.
Would be nice to have at least one cake with afternoon tea, chocolate pot and trifle were not able to take home and to much to eat whist there. Sandwiches bread just a touch dry which was a shame as the fillings we’re excellent. Would revisit. Could there be a more savoury option?
Best Wishes Fred
Beautiful building with excellent interior in wonderful designs.Excellent location, excellent value for money. Not happy with service charge that is automatically added to the invoice
We had a special occasion dinner with some American friends who had come over to visit us. The food was excellent and we were accommodated in the rotunda seating area which was great.
The service was slow. The time between starter and main was too long and our coffees were brought out before our desserts. Additionally we were sat beside the side entrance, where there was a constant flow of waiters and diners opening and not closing the outer door, with the inside door fully open. This resulted in a constant draught which became really annoying. These issues did spoil the occasion and was disappointing given how much we had said how wonderful The Ivy was to our guests.
First time visiting on our wedding anniversary and can’t wait to go back everything about the place was perfect
Very enjoyable. Pleasant and comfortable with attentive staff. Well satisfied
First time at the Ivy was an amazing experience from start to finish! Great food even better service by all staff members! Will return very!!!! Soon!
An unusually disappointing visit on a quiet Monday evening, with very inattentive service and a particularly overcooked and dry roast chicken. Not their usual standard1 The lobster risotto starter was fabulous.
Nice environment, some very limited choices, overall overpriced.
Food was delicious, service was attentive but not over the top and the ambiance was just right! Would definitely go again.
I was celebrating a birthday so booked for afternoon tea. Very happy with quality and quantity of food we were served. All the staff were very pleasant and attentive. Would definitely go again.
Only negative I have to make is that we were put on a small table and couldn't fit everything on the table but that being said always nice to be on a round table
Great service. Food good but quite expensive.
Very attentive and excellent service would highly recommend, food was superb
Saturday night the food was delicious, I had the onion soup to start followed by the Lobster linguine it was stunning. Our friends did try and order three different fish starters which were all sold out which was a shame but does show how busy they were. The service was great, wine was fabulous.
a great night out in a stunning restaurant and we thought was great value for money will return again for sure.
Beautifully decorated and brilliant service - a true treat and the best restaurant in the Cotswolds x
Waited one hour to be served, then asked to vacate the table after another hour, which we were unaware of when making the booking.
Just a perfect day
Lovely food and good service, only criticism was the portion size of the main course was to small.
Ordered one main course, took 50 minutes. No apology even though they deducted the service charge (without explaining why!).
This is a very special restaurant. The ambiance in the rotunda is wonderful, as is the quality of the food and standard of service. A real fine dining experience. You do need to budget on at least £50 per head, and that is not with extravagant choices, but it is worth it. The nature of the building means it can be quite noisy and the tables are fractionally too close together, but they have made the best use of the space available. If you book for more than four people you might have to be in the side room, which is not nearly so special. I haven't eaten in that room but I'm sure it's very comfortable.
A great ambience in the Rotunda part of the restaurant. Delightful service, good fun, plenty of buzz around. Well cooked food, monkish and prawn curry yum, yum.
Great food and service, love the atmosphere, the only slight complaint is we were rather cramped up and struggled for room on the table as there were 5 of us
Lovely building but customer service needs improving
Love this Ivy. The staff are so polite, friendly and professional. Love the ambience and the decor. The food is delicious also. We enjoy having breakfast here. Will definitely return.
Some of the food was disappointing. Surely it is not hard to do an egg on toast - I received an egg on a side plate and toast. No butter ready or offered. We waited at least half an hour for the egg not on toast and another portion of toast! The gluten free bread was bog standard supermarket bread and the granola just mass produced-type poor disappointing as well. I don't mind paying for good food - The Ivy was disappointing.
Imecable service. Consistently good food. Lovely atmosphere
Absolutely loved this restaurant. Went for a friends 40th birthday, couldn't have chosen better for her. Tastefully decorated, delicious food, excellent service and I thought at a reasonable price. Thoroughly recommend.
Absolutely amazing ! Food delicious ambiance lovely service very professional and efficient !! Everything just perfect !! Loved every minute !! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
The food and service was excellent I had fish cake and the presentation was a picture much care had gone into it. Delicious and highly recommend
Great service and a delightful menu ...
A place where you can meet friends and introduce them here for the first time knowing that the service will be first class, the food is great and the ambience makes for the perfect lunch date.
Lovely building and decor - the food was a disappointed though, it was fine don’t get me wrong but it’s basically pub food at restaurant prices!!
As always...first class from start to finish
Lovely setting and food and service were good
Family meal for a birthday
Very pleasant surroundings and nice to have jazz music
We enjoyed our first visit to The Ivy. The choice of food was wide and the quality was good but it was not 'haute cuisine'. The service was good. The drinks were expensive however and we found it rather noisy.
The décor, ambience and service are outstanding and the food satisfactory
Our waiter really made our day special for my partner’s birthday, his service was excellent and attentive. Without him, the breakfast would have still been good, but nowhere near the lovely event it was.
A lovely setting, the food portions are generous, and our waiter was absolutely exceptional - he loved his job and actually said so when we remarked on his attention to detail.
