We had a lovely dinner evening with live jazz musique!
The service and decoration were excellent throughout and both had charm and quality. The menu offer was imaginative, genuine and wholesome cuisine, plus the staff were all extremely polite, courteous and professional. The wine menu was remarkable with affordable through to exclusive choices and all of very good to excellent quality. All of the meals we had were excellent, delicious and truly professionally cooked and presented. We want to come again, and highly recommend to others. Thank you.
Lovely atmosphere, great service and good food. Nice to have the band playing in the background. Very attentive staff. Food was very nice, the chocolate bomb was delicious.
The atmosphere was lovely and the whole of the staff team made us feel welcome and couldn't do enough for us. Wonderful place for afternoon tea and really good value for money.
We thought the wine that was recommended was overpriced.
Went for Brunch on Sunday with my husband. We were acknowledged immediately on entry and shown to a very nice table near the bar. We were offered drinks and these were served very promptly and we were left to peruse the menu. I chose fish and chips and my husband the eggs benedict. When the food arrived it was not the hottest it could have been and the batter on the fish underneath was a little soggy. However, the deserts of cheese board and apple tart made up for it.
Overall a nice experience but the drinks are expensive. Beware of the gratuity on the bill.!!
Thoroughly enjoyable and look forward to visiting again soon!
We all really enjoyed our brunch at the Ivy. A lovely setting and really good food.
Very poor service. 30 minutes late to be sat down to the table. further 30 minutes to get our drinks.
A great experience all round, from the welcome on arrival our attentive waiter, and amazing food. Will be back again when we have saved up the pocket money!
Greeted by friendly and courteous staff, and this behaviour was reinforced by the waiting staff too. We only had time for a single course and drinks, but the food was excellent, plentiful and served promptly. The ambience is lovely. We were seated towards the front of the restaurant and it should be noted that the tables nearer the central bar area were a lot noisier - if you want an intimate table then I would recommend that you don’t ask to be seated under the dome. Overall it was great and we will be going again.
Bit noisy due to acoustics in building, lacks atmosphere and the lighting is poor, particularly when reading the menu. Definitely a special occasion place but considering the prices, we have had better meals in other restaurants in Cheltenham and surrounding areas of Gloucestershire and wouldn’t rush back.
Certainly our favourite Cheltenham restaurant, also nice pubs close by.
Had a lovely birthday celebration lunch with a group of friends - All the staff were friendly and helpful.
It was quite busy which gave the restaurant a good vibe. I had eaten before (always been good) but friends hadnt and they all loved it especially the Espresso Martinis!!
Very helpful and polite staff
Lovely to sit in The Ritunda
Very disappointing indeed. All the food was average and cool. Coffee was cold. So sad as front of house try really hard but food was poor.
As usual, a lovely friendly reception followed by a delicious brunch. The attention to detail from all the members of staff at this venue always impresses and makes every visit special and indulgent.
Fabulous service and a lovely atmosphere. Definitely recommend for a weekend brunch!!
Live music was what made that night special. The band and singer were amazing.
My wife is very fussy and even best food and drinks don’t awake her emotions and her typical answer: How is your food honey? Sounds just like: “it’s ok”.
Yesterday she just physically told me she likes it. And we really did. From starters through mains and big Valentines cheescake. Everything was great. Service faultless. We will be back. Thanks
Lovely food and ambiance. Had to wait over half an hour for a booth table which I had requested at time of booking so it was an expensive drinks bill but couldn't fault other than that.
Nice experience not worth the price given the quality of the food.
Had a really lovely Valentines dinner, the food was fantastic and was very quick to come out considering it was a busy Friday evening and the service and atmosphere was also really nice. Only criticism was once we had eaten it took a little while to get the bill and then also had to wait to pay but besides that, we had a great first experience!
A great evening with a lovely ambiance - particularly love the cocktail bar and the pre-dinner champagne.
Food was ok expected it to be pricey. Steak was supposed to be medium ended up char grilled in one side which left not a nice taste in mouth. Desert menu limited. Waiter was superb ambience was amazing beautiful place but £30 for burnt steak and that's without chips was disappointing
We use the Ivy Cheltenham a lot the atmosphere is always great, the food and service Are exceptional, you are always made feel welcome and looked after by the team.
Great food & equally great service - reasonable veggie selection too. We really enjoyed our lunch.
This was our forth visit to your restaurant and our third lunch. We also spent New Years Eve with you with two friends and enjoyed the food, atmosphere, service and band greatly.
We will be back very soon.
Great meal. We were looked after very well by all the staff, particularly Sabine. The food was excellent, the service great and the ambience perfect.
I love The Ivy and always go to the London Ivy in the Kings rd that is excellent , so was eager to try Cheltenham . I was slightly disappointed as my starter being Crispy duck was so crispy that it could have been crispy bacon and you couldn't pick it up on your fork . so sadly I didn't enjoy my starter and wouldn't have it again but my friends prawn cocktail looked good and the prawns were plump . I will be going again as it is such a lovely place.
Unreal and the service was even better. Love, love love it!
One of our favourite places to eat and this place never fails to satisfy our expectations. I took my wife for Valentines Day and we both thoroughly enjoyed our evening. As per usual the food was cooked to perfection, presently beautifully and promptly.
Oli, our waiter was superb, showing us to a private booth overlooking the main dining area, with a great view of the kitchen preparation area.
We both can’t wait to return.
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Ivy Brasserie, the food was delicious and the staff were attentive but not intrusive. Made a Birthday lunch very special, we will definitely be going back.
Good experience, love the building and atmosphere however there were some annoyances.
Our water order was wrong, the coffee took ages and when it did arrive it was incorrect, the coffee mugs were dirty too. Also, they were aware that the booking was a birthday however there were no arrangements until reminded.
Had a great meal, the atmosphere and the staff were great. Wasn't expecting the £5 for water, but would 100% go back.
Lovely dinner, service and food is second to none and the selection of drinks is brilliant
This is our fourth visit to The Ivy Montpellier Brasserie and we are delighted with everything once again.
Yes, beautiful place, lovely food. But the venue is so cold. Can't enjoy your meal when you have air con blasting up your back and it seems no one could do anything about it.
Have been here several times
There are a few things that need improving
With regard to food
The mackerel filleted didn’t come with enough toast
%The cream brûlée crust was too soft, needs a harder sugar glaze
( I have made this myself many times and would have bit better if crust had been caramelised)
The chip were overcookedas if they had been cooked earlier and just reheated
This is sent as constructive criticism
I thanked the Staff for excellence very good food andwine
It was a really quiet and friendly atmosphere. The service was fantastic and our waiter was very friendly (despite another waiter trying to take our plates when we had barely even put our cutlery down). Overall a great dining experience
