A perfect evening
Nothing could have been improved
And the musical entertainment was just the icing on the cake.
The restaurant was easy to find, we booked for breakfast on a Monday morning. It wasn't busy at all, the food and service was good.
A beautiful restaurant & great service.
I marked the restaurant down a star, as the nibbles we ordered were brought out with the main, not the starter. We still got charged for them too!
Other than that, the experience was lovely x
I was recommended to go to the Ivy for afternoon tea by a friend and as it was my sisters 30th birthday I decided to book it.
The staff that greeted us were very friendly and we were shown to our table. The waiting staff were attentive and we didn't want for anything. One of the sandwich filling options for the afternoon tea on the menu had a fish option which neither my sister or I liked and we asked if we could change it and this was not trouble at all. The cakes were incredible and we felt totally spoilt.
The atmosphere was perfect and they had very chilled out music in the background..
The whole experience was great and I will definitely be back and I wont hesitate to recommend The Ivy to my friends and family.
The drinks were very expensive compared to the food.
Did not like the fact service charge was added to bill, would rather leave cash
Appropriate to service on the day.
A great place for Sunday lunch. The live music was an unexpected bonus. Food and service really good as per usual . Love the Cheltenham decor too
Once again The Ivy delivered across the board.
Great food, great service and all within a great environment
This was my first meal at The Ivy to celebrate my retirement. I had heard good reviews and was not disappointed. The table was ideal as whilst it was amongst other tables it felt fairly private as there were pillars around the corners. The atmosphere was lively but not too intrusive. The food good and service excellent. We were pleasantly surprised by the bill as is was not as much as we thought we might pay for a high end restaurant.
All definitely visit again.
Looked after from start to finish. A special shout out for Josh, he made my Mum’s birthday. Loved the food. Will be back.
Really enjoyed the whole experience .... food was superb 😊
The meal and service at the table was as expected. We then move to the round bar area for coffees and after diner drinks. This was more than expected and it made the evening from a good evening to an excellent evening. The bar staff were fantastic, well done to the bar team
We had a wonderful evening we could fault nothing, it made our special evening perfect
We love the setting of The Ivy Cheltenham and the food and service is always guaranteed to be excellent.
We booked a table for 7 for my parent’s 60th wedding anniversary. Service, food, and ambiance were all excellent.
Lovely Brunch with my son on a Saturday morning. I love the ambiance of the Ivy Cheltenham now that they have added all the trees/plants. Fantastic service as always And lovely eggs!
I found the venue to be lovely, the service was very good and the food too. I would say my only issue was the very small table when on a table for two. We couldn't fit drinks and food easily on the table.
Food was mediocre seemed like warmed up chicken which left a fatty after taste
Service was good but food was not worth the money. Desert did not specify cream as my wife does not like it but it still came with a lot of cream .
Our waiter was outstanding; by good fortune, we had also been looked after by him on our previous two visits.
An incredible breakfast with first class service. Will definitely be returning.
Good food and nice ambience. Bit chilly in the main area with the bar
Simple food done very well. Set in a fabulous listed building with a stunning dome in the bar/restaurant.
Service was very friendly, professional and attentive. Mixture of all ages with a good vibe but not too noisy.
What a very special place this is. Everything is beautiful. The surroundings. The food. The staff.
Well done The Ivy Montpellier Brasserie, Cheltenham.
The food wasn't great - we went to the Daffodil the day after which was a mile infront of the Ivy. It also would have been great to choose to be in the round which was far more interesting than round the corner.
Great food, great service and, well, you want high quality, you pay for high quality. Highly recommended!
Perfect location and stunning decor - the staff were professional, attentive and polite...faultless in fact...and the food and wine was honestly ‘exquisite’
We came for lunch with our 29 year old granddaughter who is vegan to celebrate my 8th birthday. In everyway the event was good, in particular, the vegan menu was comprehensive, the food was well prepared and presented. Service was first class, we will come and dine again!
I HAVE BEEN HERE A FEW TIMES PREVIOUSLY, AND THOROUGHLY ENJOY THE AMBIENCE.
HOWEVER, THE SERVICE THIS TIME WAS NOT UP TO STANDARD. OUR WAITER NEEDED A COURSE AT "CHARM SCHOOL" AS HE CERTAINLY WASN'T ENJOYING HIS JOB, AND THAT WAS NOT OUR PROBLEM.
MY GRUMBLE, AND MANY OTHERS I KNOW IS THAT THEY OBJECT TO SERVICE CHARGE BEING PUT ON THE BILL. THIS SHOULD BE OPTIONAL, WE ARE NOT THERE TO SUBSIDISE THE WAGES OF THE STAFF WHICH IS CERTAINLY WHAT IT LOOKS LIKE.
MY OPEN SANDWICH HAD FAR TOO MUCH MARIE ROSE SAUCE ON IT, MASKING THE PRAWNS AND IT IS EXPENSIVE FOR WHAT IT IS, MUCH BETTER CHOICE IS THE TWO COURSE SET MENU.
Lovely place great food service ambience and llocation
We booked a table for a birthday celebration and the surprise cake at the end was great!
Not just for a special occasion- service, food and atmosphere always excellent.
We were greeted by the Manager Kieth who was absolutely delightful, courteous and extremely professional.
Our food (late breakfast) of Avocado on Granary toast with poached eggs and pomegranate seeds was a generous portion and very well presented and cooked.
This was our first visit to the Ivy Cheltenham, having eaten at many others. The team there were very accommodating and efficient.
What an amazing building.
Kieth showed us the Rotunda eating/bar area and it was just spectacular.
We will be in Cheltenham next month and shall definitely return.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Ivy Cheltenham. All staff were polite, friendly and attentive, and the decor was beautiful, showing Cheltenham’s racing history on the walls.
Our food was served promptly and tasted delicious. We were also lucky to be entertained by a 4 piece band on this visit!
Fabulous historic building situated in the beautiful and historic Montpelier district of Cheltenham , this iconic Georgian building with stunning Onion Dome roof is tastefully decorated and spacious.
The atmosphere is very good both lunchtime and evenings and the staff are outstanding.
There is a good choice of excellent food in a brasserie style.
The place was beautiful, the food divine!
The staff were attentive. Overall a great experience.
Excellent restaurant. We had great experience. Food, presentation and service faultless.
We had a very enjoyable dinner at the end of the Literary Festival. A nice way to end the week.
Although the waitress was very efficient it would have been nice if she occasionally had a smile on her face and made us feel welcome.
A lovely place to have lunch - beautiful space and decoration. Food was fresh & delicious - great gin & tonic too. Was quite noisy which was a bit distracting.
Just delightful .Excellent service with a lovely band playing
It's smart, stylish and by and large lives up to its label. It coped well today when very busy and remembered the birthday that we were there to celebrate in an entirely appropriate way. Despite a specific request we were not seated in the Rotunda, and that does make a difference to the overall experience. It needs to be good to justify the pricing; service definitely measured up really well and the cooking is good enough.
