Outstanding as always!! Covid guidelines are excellent and staff very attentive.
Food is the icing on the top!
It was great overall. A waiter came to clear up our table but we hadn’t finished and started picking things up, when I said we weren’t finished he said ‘I’m only doing this to help you’. Thought it was a little odd! Didn’t affect our overall experience though.
Excellent service as always. The only disappointment was that Brunch wasn’t available. I’d recommend the house champagne.
Lovely food. Felt a little hassled to get finished asap (it was nowhere near 10pm) but otherwise service good.
Absolutely gorgeous setting and fantastic service - though a little rushed as was served the delicious smoked almonds with the starters. But really really worth a visit. Superb food
Very busy, all tables full but not noisy and some nice music in the background. Tables adequately spaced out. Staff hard working and very polite. Décor and surroundings excellent - very high ceiling, which is good in Covid times as allows air to circulate away from diners. Food excellent and good quantity as well. Very wide selection of wines, spirits and cocktails. Obviously not a cheap night out but that's not why you would go to The Ivy.
Great food as always, attentive staff, and friendly atmosphere.
Lovely lunch - friendly service - nice atmosphere and good value - the shepherd's pie is excellent and the chocolate bomb for desert is a dream
Lovely lunch and great atmosphere. Our waiter was fantastic. Service was fast and attentive. Perfect place to introduce my friend to Cheltenham. Covid precautions stringent too.
Thoroughly enjoyed the meal and welcomed the knowledge our waitress displayed.
Beautiful decor and up to the standard of a 5 star restaurant.
Friendly staff, well organised, food well presented and delicious. Beautiful surroundings .
Not able to sit in the main rotunda area which spoilt the occasion, but otherwise a very good experience. The staff are attentive and considerate. The food is well presented and tasty.
Poor food, inadequate spacing between tables, very expensive. Very very disappointing.
Delightful meal in lovely restaurant. Started off with the Virgin Bellini which was like drinking a perfectly ripe peach! On to the mushroom soup. What was placed in front of me was a small serving of sautéed mushrooms topped with a large tortellini. I thought it odd until the waiter then leaned over to pour my soup into my bowl from a small pitcher. What a presentation and the soup was divine. Finished the meal with a latte and creme brule. Our waiter (sorry to have forgotten his name, but he told us he was from Poland) was a sheer delight, entertaining as well as having made excellent recomendations. Can't wait to go again.
Not been out for a while and decided to try the ivy , got to say it was as good a meal as we’ve had out in last couple of years , curry for main course and chocolate bomb to finish , the place was packed on a Tuesday evening which to be fair says it all
A perfect evening spent with my family. The staff, food and service couldn’t was first class. Look forward to the next visit.
Aways have a good meal but this time not the best.
Beans over cooked and the chips very poor, complained about beans, no comment was made or even a offer to remove from the bill.
Excellent as always but noise is too echoey in rotunda area.
Great food, great service, highly recommend and will be back soon...
Beautiful place if seated in the Rotunda. Lovely food. Only negatives - have to pay extra for sides ie chips, salad. Plus service is included which I don't like. I'd rather it was discretionary. Paying £30 for a fillet steak you would like to think salad and chips were included. It's literally just the steak, lovely though it was.
Top class food and service. We had the lovely Adam serve us who was attentive, warm and made us feel well looked after. He offered some great recommendations as well. We celebrated our anniversary and could not have chosen a better place. With a very similar menu to the London flagship but at 30% lower cost, we felt doubly lucky.
Consistently outstanding for that special occasion.
Our welcome was very poor and not a good start to our evening. Our food and wine waiters were excellent.
Beautiful restaurant, particularly if you’re sat within the rotunda. Food was delicious and excellent value for money. Ideal for special occasions.
A wonderful setting. It was a memorable dining experience and I have already recommended the restaurant to several people.
Sitting under the dome gives the greatest ambience, and makes the dining experience. Staff are very polite and welcoming.
A little confused, after the fact, why 3x afternoon teas at under £20pp came to £67 though. I will be more careful when presented the bill next time.
It’s definitely worth a visit, and I will eat there again.
We had the champagne afternoon tea and we weren't disappointed.
Despite the strict Covid regulations that the staff had to follow and abide by, the service was personal and attentive and first class.
Great service by Claire! Always made to feel super welcome by reception, food is always lovely and service is always spot on!
Lovely experience for family birthdays - service was prompt and engaging and will definitely go back
Lovely ambiance, attentive staff. Made a landmark birthday special with a surprise cake
The Ivy was such a delight! Booking was simple and easy via the website, with a courtesy call ahead of the day to ensure we didn’t have any dietary requirements or requests. On arrival there was a member of the restaurant to greet us, a quick and easy temperature check and we were escorted to our table. The restaurant was lovely, we were seated in the main dining area- it was simply beautiful! The atmosphere was so lovely and our waiter extremely attentive and friendly. The menu was delicious, we opted for a cocktail and dessert. Delicious food and cocktails in delicious surroundings! Thank you too all who made us feel so welcome and relaxed! We will be booking again for birthday brunch in December and can’t wait!
If you like quality and beautiful atmosphere, this the place to be .
Outstanding food experience and an excellent service!
I notified during the booking it was my wife’s birthday and they didn’t even give us a complementary drink/cake...this does not happen at Cote Brasserie. Disappointing.
Wonderful food, great atmosphere, fab service, we are so lucky to have The Ivy on our doorstep
Great ambiance and service. Buildings lovely. Food overpriced; I 've eaten better for less money.
Had a hearing problem because of background chatter and music. The other 4 members of my party had no problem. My hearing is not so good generally.
One of the Bad staff !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! was very rude we were ask to continue finishing our drinks at the bar because they needed the table back which was fine we had amazing service ,food and drinks
The bar man kept asking us to move from one bar seat to another as we were to close to ice !! which we couldn’t see (just move the ice bucket ) it spoilt or lovely time spent at your Amazing resturant that we go to once twice a week since it it MG
Excellent service and amazing food.
Lovely area in Cheltenham.
We were so looking forward to going back to the Ivy and booked an early slot so we could relax and enjoy it. However we felt rushed from the minute we arrived. We hadn’t even sat down and were asked what we wanted to drink. The main came out straight after the starter and as soon as we said could be have a break before desert we were asked to move to the bar. The Ivy has always been a special place for us but I doubt we will return anytime soon. On the plus side the cocktails and bar staff were amazing.
As expected of The Ivy - beautiful building (former spa); beautifully decorated and delicious food at modest prices.
Friendly staff and excellent service.
Loved it all!
