Beautiful room and service excellent. Food okay but some main dishes quite small in size particularly the Sheperds Pie.
lovely atmosphere and good food. Great bar area. Would highly recommend
The staff were really polite, friendly and accommodating. Food was outstanding quality and the restaurant is beautiful. Made my birthday really special.
Booked a few days before. Efficient and polite welcome. Waiter very attentive, but not in your face which is great when having a quiet afternoon tea for wedding anniversary. Lovely extra touch for our anniversary definitely meant we needed the goody box to take away "spare" cakes.
We had the Afternoon Tea for Two. The table was quite small, too small for all the various plates and drinks. The freshly made sandwiches and scones were good, but the small cakes bought in were disappointing.
Food not quite as good as we expected. My chicken was overdone as was my husbands fish.
Excellent as always
Excellent setting with very high standard service - highly recommended.
Excellent restaurant with a good buzz . Good service and food.
Brilliant for a special occasion… not as pricey as you think, except drinks .. well worth a visit
Really good food, surroundings and service
Lovely setting, good food but an expensive night out
Beautiful Ambience. One of the nicest Ivy’s we have been to
Lovely for a special occasion. Definately would go back.
We had to wait over half an hour before any food arrived. I had hoped to enjoy a rabbit and langoustine pie but when we came to order the waiter advised that this had sold out. This should have been mentioned prior to issuing the menu. The waiter’s heavily imitated french accent was very irritating. We were squashed between two other tables which were very noisy.
Great food and great service in a fantastic setting. Reasonable pricing for the quality and overall ambiance.
Decor, ambience and service were all excellent. A good range of menu choices. A good range of cocktails too and can recommend the Lavender Lady!
Beautiful setting, excellent service, fantastic food.
Food was good but under seasoned....service was immaculate however.
An absolutely lovely experience. An anniversary treat so my parents were made to feel very special. There first visit to the Ivy so are already planning to return.
A beautiful venue in the heart of Cheltenham, buzzy and fun.
This was our 53rd Wedding Anniversary lunch and everything was perfect
Very good service…lived up to the expectations. Will return.
Lovely corner booth away from main bar. Chose 3 course lunch deal which was very good value and delicious. Waitress struck the perfect balance between being attentive without being intrusive.
Excellent service as usual , the ivy team always make every visit special
I have eaten at several branches of the Ivy and the standard of food and service is always of the highest quality
We had a most brilliant meal with excellent service. The decor of The Ivy is inspiring and complements the exceptional food. We were celebrating our 50th Wedding Anniversary which was last December during lockdown and it was certainly worth the wait. Next time we would love to sit under the dome! Thank you to everyone who made our evening so memorable.
I thought the service was attentive and the best part of the experience. The food was good although could be sharper. The Rabbit and Langoustine pie was cooked a little over and the chips could be crispy. Overall would recommend and will be back.
Absolutely fantastic night! Our host Carolyn was an absolute delight.
Fantastic date night! The food, drinks and service were all excellent.
Excellent food and service as always. Decided on the set lunch menu which was really good value. Highly recommend.
The food was delicious, the whole place was perfect.
The Ivy never fails to deliver excellent food and great service. The formula they have developed is consistent and all of their buildings have their own different wow factor from history to style. Highly recommend the Cheltenham Ivy.
Excellent once manager agreed to turn down music. Uncomfortable that no one, including staff, was wearing masks. Not sure will go again until have booster shots
Lovely setting and food , waited a little for the first drink to get to us but the staff are lovely and will return . The service charge was added to the bill - £25 so please be aware of this .
Birthday treat for my daughter was afternoon tea. We ordered at 3.35 -our drinks arrived but not the food. We asked twice and were told it was ‘on its way’. At the third ask it arrived- really poor service for such a well-rated establishment . Service charge was also added to our bill!
My friend and I booked for afternoon tea, I had requested one gluten free, and when we arrived, this was acknowledged. Which was great. When the waitress arrived, she was friendly. We ordered our afternoon tea, I advised that I am a vegetarian but was happy with the salmon sandwiches, I requested this without cheese and advised that I was allergic. The afternoon tea arrived with the vegetarian option mozzarella and tomato sandwiches. Without wanting to make a fuss, I just smiled and didn't eat this one. I was hoping that someone would check in to ask how everything was to see if I can get this rectified, but sadly we were not asked so I just made my way through the cakes instead. They had a jazz band playing, which was a lovely added touch to our experience. I did order a voucher for afternoon tea (December 2020- still valid for another year). I provided this to the waitress and was advised that since my purchase the price of afternoon tea had gone up so I had to pay the difference. I didn't want to make a fuss, but looking back, I don't see how this was something I should have been charged for considering we couldn't use the voucher for the first 7 months of the year. Overall it was a pleasant experience.
Excellent food and service. Unfortunately the jazz band made it very difficult to converse easily
Lovely meal gave my husband and I a little surprise dessert for our 40th anniversary.
