Amazing experience all round. Can’t fault anything.
Stunning environment, lovely food and friendly, personable service as you would expect at the ivy. Whilst covid measures were legally lifted last week, some of the tables are very close together, less than 1m, which was slightly uncomfortable. Overall a fantastic experience as always
Lovely meal out and service was excellent.
Could have a bit more choice of main meals.
Gorgeous setting and ambience for a celebratory meal. Good choice on the menu.
Only gripe was we ordered the sharing dessert for 4 but there were 7 things to share not 8!
A wide variety of drinks….a bit over priced.
Overall a lovely evening.
My special evening was spoilt by being asked to vacate our table by 7.30 at 7pm . So no time for dessert as we were still drinking our Red wine which went with our main course and would have spoilt our desert. So very disappointed that we were supposed to have our table till 7.45 and would have had plenty of time.
Considering this is the 4th visit to your chain of restaurants we won’t be rushing back
Celebrated our anniversary, just we did last year between lockdowns. Just a really nice to be and to eat, would recommend it to anyone wanting a real treat.
Just perfect!!! Oh how wonderful was our meal and how just lovely are the staff. Every person made our little person feel like a superstar and he has woken up this morning saying it’s his fave place on earth! I didn’t get our hosts name but he was an Italian gentleman and made the evening. Thankyou everyone for such a wonderful time.
Afternoon tea was absolutely delicious and the servers were lovely. Only complaint is we were rather squished in and very close to the table next to us, to the point where I was very conscious they could hear our conversation, and felt the need to apologise to the lady on the next table when I went to get up. Too close in normal times let alone during a pandemic!
Sadly the Afternoon Tea was very underwhelming. The bread on the finger sandwich was almost hard. The scones were small and had hardly risen and the pastry course was three soft mousses, a hardish donut and a wierd sour lemon/raspberry watery gel which was awful. So very disappointed. I have been there before for dinner which was lovely but would never go there for Afternoon Tea again.
Overall amazing, spoilt a little by being covered in champagne when bottle opened and our final order of cocktails and desserts not being passed through and being made wait for half a hour until we mentioned it. Spoilt what could have been a 10/10 5 star experience.
Booking wasn't clear, so had the wrong time but still had a lovely time, first time so was expecting top notch typical small portions but was surprised to get decent amounts but still top notch. Will be back again.
I was very upset they could not find £3 pound coins for five pounds to sort my parking… my waiter wanted to help knew they had them but was refused them by the manager who came out gave me my money back and am said had no change… I said if I pay today cash you will find the change… he was very unfriendly so no tip and his staff suffered really bad customer service and I now tell all that the Ivy is intransigent … a shame sort your manager it is a small thing but will cost the Ivy in custom…. The Montpellier wine bar then change money for nothing and again the all laughed at the Ivy … suggest you sort people have choices!!!!
Just fantastic gorgeous food and amazing service. Thank you
Lovely environment, staff polite and efficient. Food good, could have been a little warner and the avocado on the vegetarian breakfast was hard and tasteless, which who ever cut would have known. In a restaurant with high standards such as the Ivy this is unacceptable. Choosing a ripe avocado is not difficult.
Not as good as our previous visits. The food was a bit ropey for the price.
Amazing service and the place is beautiful. Accommodated gluten free requirements although no gluten free menu as such. Nice food.
My experience at the Ivy was good but not great. I had organised a birthday meal for my partner and was greeted very politely by staff. We had been seated and had decided our meals and drinks, and had been waiting for quite some time to be served. After a waitress had taken our drinks order we had decided to order our mains. We we asked if we wanted our mains to come after our starters, and we had said yes as it was our preference. We had received our starters of sourdough bread and it was warm and very tasty. Before we had even finished our starter our mains came out, and we felt forced to push our starters out of the way to make room for our mains, which we had asked to come out once we had finished our starters. This put alot of pressure on us, as we wanted to have some time to relax and wait for our mains. Our mains were perfect, perfect sizing portions, and very delicious. After we had finished our mains, we were eventually given some time to relax whilst we had our drinks. As it was my partners birthday I had asked for an arrangement for a small cake and a candle. I was waiting excitedly for this, but nothing had come out, I had seen another 2 tables receive a cake with candles for someone’s birthday. I wasn’t sure whether to ask a member of staff as I had noted it down on my booking that it was a birthday meal. I was pretty upset by this as it was a surprise for my partner and I was quite disgusted to see other tables have this arranged but our table got nothing. We then decided to order dessert and it was lovely. After we had our dessert we decided to get the bill, and our bill for our meal was very high, with a service charge. This meant that both my partner and I had spent almost £100 for our meal, and we found £50 each to be very expensive. Overall, the experience was okay, the restaurant had a good atmosphere and we had good service by staff.
Will who served us was excellent, he’s only been with you 2 days but I couldn’t tell as he was so fantastic. Very natural with customers. The speed of service and food being delivered was great. Slight snag with one fish cake being cold in the middle but it was swiftly replaced.
Great service. Thank you!
Good food. Nice touch with happy anniversary profiteroles.
Service felt a little too efficient.
Absolutely Fab as always
We are always treated well
Food is great and atmosphere superb
Finish the night at the bar - perfect!!
The most enjoyable restaurant visit in years.
The food was excellent complimented by incredible service (mainly by Emily). The professionalism of the staff was such a pleasant experience, things like remembering who had ordered what and just servicing to that person. Probably not that difficult with the right system but this almost never happens.
The beautiful surroundings created a wonderful atmosphere making you feel special.
Food prices were good value for the standard delivered, the alcoholic drinks were a little pricey but they did provide tap water free of charge.
There are only a few places we would re-visit, but we will definitely return here. We've already recommended The Ivy to three people and we have no hesitation in saying if you want to go somewhere and feel special, then this is the place.
Excellent service. Loved the quinoa and poached egg but asparagus was out of season.
Great dinner out for our anniversary. Huge thanks
Lovely food, only problem was some dishes unavailable. Fantastic service and lovely staff.
As always a wonderful treat! Service good and atmosphere was a lively way to celebrate my birthday.
A late family lunch and our party included our energetic 20 mth granddaughter who just wanted to wander around and look at the horses and pictures. The staff were so friendly and encouraging and the food superb as usual. We were very well looked after during the relaxing afternoon meal.
Very efficient and polite service. Beautiful surroundings and an extensive food and drinks menu to choose from. Enjoyed my visit. We visited after the legal restrictions for Covid ended, measures were relaxed but still felt safe. Great balance.
Absolutely faultless as always! My favourite place to dine! The sea bream was perfect.
We had a wonderful evening at the Ivy in Cheltenham.
The atmosphere was really exciting, the food was excellent and the service second to none.
Everything was done very professional we had a super evening with excellent food and great service
This was our 35th wedding anniversary and right from arrival staff wished us happy anniversary.
Air con bloomin marvellous as it was scorching outside.
Couldn’t fault any of it apart from drinks are seriously expensive but we’re only here once and 35 years married doesn’t happen too often so we abandoned our purse strings snd enjoyed ourselves. Especially after all the months of not going anywhere with lockdown etc.
Beautiful restaurant and delicious food. They made us feel very special on our wedding anniversary
An enjoyable lunch - had good table and the staff were friendly and helpful. The service and food very good.
Very good, the waitress serving us was exceptionally good and deserves a pat on the back
Lovely anniversary lunch for my elderly parents - back in a couple of weeks! Loved the Freedom Day Prosecco! Thank you 🥂
Exceptional in every possible way. Peruvian Chicken was cooked so beautifully as well as the curry dish. Service was attentive but discreet. We just had the best date night (sans kids) in a year! Thank you x
Excellent service with great food, looking forward to eating there again.
A bit pricey, but the food and the service was very good.
Lovely ambience and delicious food. Was a little disappointed not to have a table in the centre under the dome but it was rather full and we had a lovely table by the window.
The Ivy always delivers. Reliable on all fronts. Thank you for making our evening in Cheltenham special.
Service charge for basic things
Charge for water that was offered
Everything soaked in sauce
Awkward table placement
Poor birthday gift
