The Ivy Norwich Brasserie
The brasserie is accessible and relaxed, holding back a number of tables for walk-ins, allowing locals to drop in throughout the day at their leisure. Whether visiting for a relaxing breakfast, working lunch, cocktails with friends or a three-course dinner, The Ivy Norwich Brasserie
Was really nice 😁 the staff we're efficient sahme they put seasoning on our little grandson avocado
Excellent meal and the service was very good. Highly recommend the restaurant
A lovely dining experience, however felt a little rushed by waiting staff at times and the high noise levels from the music made it difficult to converse at times. We did ask for the music to be turned down a notch - which it was - just a little.
Unobtrusive service, good food, increasingly noisy after 8.00pm.
Outstanding meal . Great choice of food .. fantastic staff and restaurant . Will definitely go back .
The Ivy Norwich is fabulous ! Excellent food and service in wonderful surroundings. Can't wait to go back soon 😀
Fantastic , love the food and everything about the ivy . When going to Norwich will definitely go there .
Very disappointing afternoon tea, nothing like other place in the area
Superb food, gin a little overpriced and time to get drinks to table also poor. Service slower than usual.... starters came out literally seconds after our aperitif! Bad day perhaps as service usually faster. Didn’t like the 12.5% applied tip either, I was too polite to request it be removed as frankly service was not up to usual standard
Thank you so much, it was my dads birthday and he loved it
This was the first visit to The Ivy Norwich Brasserie for my wife and I, It won’t be our last. We were celebrating our 41st wedding anniversary and could not have picked anywhere better. The staff, the food, the ambience was first class. Well done The Ivy. We loved it.
Was a little apprehensive when going to The Ivy Norwich as my favourite restaurants are The Ivy Chelsea Garden and also their Soho branch where the food, service and level of professionalism is excellent.Unfortunately the Norwich branch has dropped the ball on a few,
1)There was no one on the door to take our reservation when we arrived, had to stick our head in the restaurant to be acknowledged.
2)My Salmon and Crab starter was a little dry round the edges of the smoked salmon.
3)Neither tables were wiped and reset next to us.
4)Drinks took quite awhile to appear.
5)Once we had finished our starter and main our waitress must of finished her shift as we were then left unattended and not asked if we wanted more drinks, desert or even tea or coffee.
The good points were that Amy our waitress was exceptional, with a great personality and even sourced a fillet steak for me,all the food and cocktails were delicious which is why I love the Ivy, so hopefully they will take a leaf out of their sister restaurants and keep there reputation up to the same standard
Very mean of the Ivy to charge £24 for a sirloin steak without even a few fries.
The service , food and atmosphere was exceptional. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening and will be returning very soon
This was my first time at The Ivy and I am happy to say, it lived up to my expectations.
The restaurant is beautiful, the staff and friendly and informative and the food was amazing.
We were celebrating a 89th birthday and were looked after very well! A great evening meal
I've been wanting to try out your Resturant for sometime. My business is called Ivy Health Surgery so the name itself I was drawn to. We finally had the time to visit on Saturday and had a really nice lunch and the staff were really attentive. I would like to return another time with my clients. I would highly recommend the Apple Tart for dessert very tasty. Hopefully we will return soon as I would like to try out your dinner menu.
Booked on the day of the meal, were greeted well and shown to our table. Staff attentive and knowledgeable, food good, however, my partners dessert was slow to arrive, staff apologised three times although we were in no hurry but when the bill arrived they had given the dessert for free. Only two slight negatives: 1 - hard to hear each other and the staff speak. 2 - tables very close together.
The first time we went with friends (last year) I am sure I gave the Brasserie an overall excellent review.
This time - the waitress we had could only described as uncommunicative and somewhat sullen. She barely raised a smile.
The food was only fair, with my monkfish contained two lumps of gristle.
One of your other waiters forgot our order of ice/lemon for the water and had to be reminded.
Finally we were all annoyed that our plates were being whisked away when we had all not finished eating!
We spent £200 between us, and none of us thought the experience was good value.
I'd rather have spent less than half of that sum at Yo Sushi, and that's just what we are going to do next time we get together!!
Great brunch venue! Coffee good too. Would definitely recommend.
Food was fantastic as were drinks and general atmosphere. We had a great table and they took my requests into consideration and sat us where I had requested. Service was fine, but waitresses seemed pretty miserable and didn’t add much to the experience. Not unpleasant but when I’ve been before staff have been so friendly and good rapport didn’t feel like this this time.
Food was very good although I felt overpriced compared to equally good competitors. Decor lovely, tables quite close together and noise levels were high possibly due to acoustics?service was pleasant but not particularly quick, I also don’t like having my wine stored away from the table (again, space issues) and having to try and attract the waiters attention when my glass is empty. Think they need to try a bit harder at these prices.
yes I would recommend the ivy but it is a place you could not go every week it is a bit expensive but all in all it was a good night.
It was lovely but feel it is a little over rated and you are paying for the name. Beautiful surroundings and great atmosphere. Attentive staff too. Can't say the food was any better than any other high class establishments in the city and they come in cheaper.
Beautiful restaurant but terribly slow service on a Friday lunchtime.
Food was great. Service was amazing. It was a little loud but that’s cause we went at a peak time. But everything else was amazing. They were really accommodating to my nanny cause she is dairy free.
Had a lovely lunch to celebrate my son's 21st birthday. Great food, lovely atmosphere and excellent service.
Friendly staff. The crispy duck was delicious. Presentation perfect
A really lovely lunch. Fantastic decor and ambiance. Lovely food and wine. Ecellent service, professional yet friendly. A little more expensive than your average lunch venue and there is 121/2% service charge.
Would recommend. Will return.
From start to finish was made very welcome. Enjoyed the whole experience, service, food and ambience was wonderful. Will definitely come back!
Menu was over reliant upon deep fried food or perhaps we just chose poorly. Swordfish steak was overcooked to exhaustion (but was as a consequence not billed). Overall expensive for generally poor food. Why don't places have a far smaller but better prepared and presented menu?
Table not ready on arrival although to be fair we were 10 minutes early. Waited in the lobby which had lots of flies buzzing about. Service and bar staff were excellent and very friendly, decor was lovely. On negative side we were cold, I put my jacket back on, lady next to us put her scarf on and two tables up a man put his jumper on. Food although nice was small portions and too expensive, £3.25 for a few peas ! Surely shepherds pie should include some veg. Desserts were amazing. Service charge a bit steep. Probably wouldn’t rush back.
Second visit to IVY and it did nor disappoint.
Lovely attentive service. Food nicely presented, and very tasty.
Heartily recommend the Ivy Champagne.
Service was so slow had to wait half an hour between courses for a waiter but they seemed busy
We were both very impressed and had a fabulous breakfast.
What a lovely evening myself and partner had. We were on a date night which was absolutely wonderful. Food wise, very tasty but disappointed that they didn’t have the lobster but not a problem, we’ve picked something else. The best part was probably the Chocolate Bomb. Thank you To the Ivy for this amazing experience, we shall return.
Lovely place and nice service, but the lobster and crab were both overdone and chewy and the food just wasn’t tasty enough to make up for the value.
Both my husband and myself had a really great night, the service was brilliant, very attentive. My husband chose fish and chips, which he said was the best ever,my meal was equally delicious and the cappuccino cake melted in my mouth,I also received a sweet treat for my birthday which was a lovely gesture,we couldn’t fault a thing,we will definitely return for a special occasion.
Lovely welcome and attentive staff without being overbearing. Great food. As it was a birthday treat the restaurant presented my daughter with a sweet birthday cake. Good atmosphere. Had a really nice informative friendly conversation with one of the managers. Credit to your company! Will be back.
Delectable decor ambiance and exquisite cuisine!!
