Will be the last time we book and visit this particular restaurant.Hot food was served cold , returned to the kitchen for replacement , came back warm but mushy . After a 20 min wait , had to requested the dirty dishes cleared , and ask for the desert menu . Restaurant wasn’t busy at the time we visited . Staff didn’t seem to bothered by our custom, and no thank you and goodbye by the waiting staff .

Below-average high tea, ok but nothing more. Very neutral taste, ice fog is supposed to enhance the whole thing. Service sometimes good, then poor again. Would not come again.

The food was delicious, but there were significant availability issues on the menu & wine list, which were communicated 15-20 minutes after we had been given the menu. The starters arrived promptly, but there was a very long delay until the mains, during which time several other tables received both courses. Strange pricing on the bill for suggested replacements for missing menu items too.

Great ambiance. I had the £19.17 dinner which the starter and entree were really great! Then went to order the chocolate bomb dessert only to find out that they changed it from real chocolate to white chocolate without explaining the changes made to the menu upon arrival was very disappointing. Also, were out of many of wine selections of the menu.

Brilliant date meal at the Ivy. Best steak I have ever eaten! Service was excellent. Highly recommend giving it a try.

Can’t beat the Ivy in the square, they made my dad’s first Scotland visit one to not forget- unreal food and the service was just amazing! Thank you so much!
