   We went to try new menu called Taste of Autumn and oh boy. So delicious!!!!! Absolutely amazing food and service ( massive thanks to Nicola), lovely place - we will be back ♥️

   Afternoon tea was disappointing and in my opinion , not worth the hefty price tag of £145 for three people including a service charge. Service was inattentive , slow and absolutely not what you would expect , from an establishment that is meant to be a jewel in the crown in the heart of Edinburgh . Only two choices of tea blends in offer , Earl Grey and English breakfast , according to our waitress, despite the menu stating a choice? of teas and infusions. The waitress spoke so quickly and robotically explaining the choices of the food offers , that we absolutely had no clue what had been presented to us. We had to ask for our hot drinks and waited ages for them , in fact we were half way through our food before they arrived. No check back from the waitress either. No top up of our spring wine was offered either (appreciate that wasn’t free) . The afternoon tea food offer was ok , again nothing stunning . The finger sandwiches were lovely and fresh including smoked salmon and cream cheese and a very odd, but strangely nice , pickled cucumber and basil double decker . Have to say the scones were lovely, warm and fresh. On the whole , didn’t meet my expectations , I expected to be wowed and wasn’t . There are definitely far better afternoon tea offers in our beautiful city .

   Food and ambiance was really lovely however what made the whole experience unforgettable was our server Mimi! She was an absolute star from start to finish-nothing was too much trouble for her

   Starters were excellent. Curry main was excellent. Minute Steak a bit chewy. Chocolate pudding was excellent. Good value. Wine nice but a bit pricey.

   Great place for lunch. Staff very friendly and efficient and the restaurant had a good atmosphere. Food was excellent.

   The food and service was excellent!!! My only disappointment was no extras line chips or vegetable to accompany your main course. Having to buy these separately makes the meal overly priced!! Apart from that no compliants
