Great food and outstanding service, we had a great night
Booked dinner for two , lovely friendly greeting , drinks in the bar , sat down on time . Main course was sent back as just about warm , they couldn’t apologise enough and fresh food with fresh sides arrived after 10 mins ,lovely and hot .
I’ve been lucky enough to eat in a lot of good restaurants and I would definitely recommend and go again as the food was very good , but the quality of service was fabulous.
Asked for a birthday treat for my friend’s 40th which never came. Disappointed.
A brilliant experience from start to finish- our waitress Laura was fantastic and attentive. The food was delicious, and we were then able to move from the rooftop restaurant into the terrace and enjoy drinks in front of the fire. Highly recommend!
Brilliant and the staff are amazing. The location and building is fab!
One of the best meals we have ever had together. The food was absolutely delicious, the service was fabulous and the decor was amazing...even the toilets! Thoroughly recommend!
The roof terrace restaurant, some of the tables are so close to each other...i was almost sat on the next tables lap!
Birthday and anniversary
Alejandro was our perfect host, delicious food, perfect surroundings, we could not fault our visit, thank you xx
We had a fabulous time celebrating my daughter’s 18th at the Ivy’s roof garden - as the daylight dwindled and the cosy lights and fires came into their own it created a perfect ambience. We started with a beautifully chilled glass of champagne. The afternoon tea itself was excellent in the main but a couple of things could be improved upon. The sandwiches were delicious and the scones with clotted cream and jam sublime. The cake was lovely but I’m not a fan of sugary pieces on cakes, the chocolate pot was a fun idea but taste wise wasn’t great and the trifle was ok but the flavour could be better. The tea served in silver pots looks classy but the tea itself tasted slightly metallic and not quite right and the handle gets too hot when trying to pour it. I would go again as the atmosphere was very special and the service exemplary. Thank you for such a lovely afternoon.
Service was brilliant, atmosphere great and we didn't have to wait for anything!
The service was great. My waiter (Danielle, Italian guy) was looking after me and my guest really good. All the staff were giving us a great customer service and the food was amazing. I will go back for sure.
I really enjoyed my meal. However I found the food wasn't the best standard for the price. And I found the service charge was extortionate.
Amazing as ever
It was quite nice but a bit loud. The tables where very close together.
Nice place, food was good, service was great, would recommend.
We came for my dad and grandads birthday. Everything was amazing. Rob who looked after us did a fantastic job, couldn’t of been more helpful. Thanks for a great experience.
Good food in a nice setting. Price point was too high likely due to the unnecessarily high number of waiters, front of house, DJ and bar staff (many of whom were stood around bored).
Amazing service and the food was uneal
Tables are quite close together I went for a romantic special dinner with my husband but felt we could not really talk without the other tables around us hearing our conversations and vice versa
Very poor experience at the ivy. Greeted at the door by a very rude and unprofessional man. Sent a complaint email with no response
It was fabulous. Our waiter was really attentive.. the music was on point! I couldn’t have asked for a better evening. Thank you
Like a night club instead of a restaurant and therefore left immediately
Fantastic venue a real treat for the eyes from the outside to the interior. Ivy Asia looks amazing and cocktails are lovely. we set up a tab and took it to the roof garden. 3 cocktails, a bottle of wine, nibbles and two mains with a side came to £100 which is great. would highly recommend.
The experience was fabulous, felt like I was in a Johnny depp movie. waiting time for main was excessive nearly an hour. Apart from that great. Music a little loud but hey I’m not young anymore!
Excellent customer service, great atmosphere, delicious food
Another lovely visit to The Ivy and again just as satisfied. Good food, lovely staff, great decor and ambience - can’t wait to come back
Had a beautiful brunch on Saturday 30th November, this was my second visit, my first was for a friends party in your private room. Eggs Royale were beautiful, smoked salmon great flavour, the chips, real and with skins on, lovely surprise! The Ivy Champagne was also lovely with our choice of brunch and after some shopping we came back to the bar at the Brassiere and enjoyed some cocktails and two bottles of the Ivy Champagne. The staff were all lovely too, in particular a lovely girl on reception with lovely hair tied up in a bun as well as a lovely girl in the roof top garden from Derry. James and a lovely Italian guy, sorry l can’t remember his name were also very personable at the Brassiere. Thanks, looking to book again soon.
Booked a table for 3.30 for 3. Arrived and they couldn't find the booking. Eventually did. Went up to the restaurant at 3.30 and no table ready. Told to wait in the bar area. Twice I asked when the table would be ready. Sat down at 3.55 by the open door. Asked to be moved and we were. From then on all was good. Our 2nd visit so disappointed as first time everything was spot on. It won't put us off but could do better.
Overall very good. Service was amazing and the deserts and cocktails are the best. Will definitely be going back. Highly recommend.
Food is very average, nothing special. Setting is nice.
Amazing food, atmosphere, location and staff! Really enjoyed evening
Absolutely fantastic visit to the Ivy with good friends. The food, service, ambience was exceptional up in the roof terrace!
Beautiful ambience. A treat for my partners birthday. Felt special but not pretentious. Very accommodating and well looked after. Will definitely return.
A great choice of delicious food and fabulous service
We had a lovely day, the food, staff and overall experience were 2nd to none.
Look forward to our next visit.

Fantastic pre Christmas lunch with family . Everyone was impressed.
Afternoon tea was delicious and the room and service was to a high standard.
Great location, great ambiance, great food and drink and very reasonably priced, will definitely be coming again.
We have watched this restaurant being built on previous trips to Manchester, but this is the first time we have dined there. We chose the Roof Garden for lunch and it was absolutely FANTASTIC - the food was divine and our server was charming, helpful and attentive. We are vegetarian, so the separate vegan and vegetarian menu was a great help, giving us a wide choice. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wanted a special dining experience, and can't fault the service or food. It's a pity we live in Cumbria and are unable to vist The Ivy more often.
PS We left one of our shopping bags under the table and received a phone call to say that it would be waiting for us at reception when we were able to call back. What service!
