Restaurants are open seven days a week offering a full service from breakfast through to dinner. Each restaurant also has a dedicated number of unreserved tables available throughout the day offering everyone the chance to enjoy a little taste of The Ivy’s glamour, whatever the occasion.
Unfortunately this is a bit of a false review as it was the last night before it closed down due to the virus.
We booked the roof top garden for 3 birthdays but we had to sit in the ground floor restaurant as it was closed.
Food was still good
Amazing evening even in these times of COVID-19. We'll be back supporting our favourite restaurant!
My food was served cold. I rarely ever complain but as it was a birthday treat I informed the waiter who did replace my meal with a hot one 15 minutes later when everyone had finished. No discount or refund was offered and when I checked my receipt a service charge had been applied without informing me. I would not return.
Beautiful venue. Great food & lovely staff & ambience. Fab birthday cake too!!
My partner and I have been eating at the Ivy generally once a week for the past few months and have always found it to be a very pleasurable experience on all counts, all the staff we have met are friendly yet professional and we shall be looking forward to our next visit and lots more to come
Very busy restaurant food very good service bit slow but very polite staff
The food was excellent and matched the service and quality of the restaurant.
But I wouldn’t recommend a Saturday night, as the music is so loud you can’t hear any conversation at the table and have to shout to make yourselves heard. This ruined a otherwise lovely night.
Excellent restaurant for a special occasion
Had the best time here. Had no idea where we had booked as we don't know Manchester at all but searched for a good restaurant near to the opera house. This is literally a few steps away.
The ambiance of the whole place really set the mood for the evening. Different to anything our home town of Lincoln has to offer and it had a great vibe.
The service was excellent and the staff were so respectful and polite.
The food didn't disappoint. I had the lobster pasta - it was delicious.
Cocktails were also brilliant.
Wouldn't hesitate to rush back next time we are in the area.
The Roof Garden is an excellent venue that copes well with a high customer count and a moderate turnover of guests. Our food was excellent and well prepared and the attentive staff were helpful. We enjoyed our meal fully and will no doubt be returning soon.
The food was absolutely magnificent and was equally matched by the service and venue.
The food was reasonably priced for the quality and it is a beautiful place for something a little different and special.
The only minor down side was the price of the drinks but it’s central Manchester so that’s expected.
Can’t wait to go again and have the monkfish curry it was truly wonderful.
Would recommend at the drop of a hat.
Special mention to Alexandro (from Valencia) who was so lovely and professional (mucho gusto).
Love this place! Booked a table on the roof terrace. Food, service and surroundings impeccable. Can’t wait to return.
Had a lovely afternoon here but my only fault was the music was far too loud!
Lovely staff, great food and beautiful cocktails everything about the experience was fantastic
Yes for drinks, no for food. Steaks were done very well instead if medium. Food overall taste not compatible with price
Service was brilliant. I’ve visited the Ivy before, but never the roof terrace. Food was lovely and the mood was great.
The live music was a little too loud, but nothing to cause concern.
Staff were polite.
Overall great experience, date went well. Will be back again.
Staff was lovely, food was very nice and good value for money.
Lunch menu was delicious and very good value for money. Had the goats cheese salad and the chickpea and sweet potato Thai curry, both were incredibly tasty and great vegetarian options.
First time at the Ivy and loved it. Food was delicious and the service was great. Definitely go back.
Fabulous lunch, staff were amazing, food and drinks were FAB! Thanks for a great time.
It was a lovely treat for us
The young lady who served us was absolutely fantastic made us feel very comfortable
We booked the Ivy for a ore theatre meal and really enjoyed our meals drinks and the service. Our waiter was a young Spanish Student from Cadiz - he was ace
We will go again later in the year
We had lunch at The Ivy Roof Garden for my husband's birthday, and both thoroughly enjoyed it. The food was exquisite, the service friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere what we'd hoped for. The one slight niggle was that the music was a bit on the loud side.
Everything perfect 👌🏾 got me laid 👏🏾 great chicken!
Arriving at the Ivy felt like you were arriving somewhere really special. The service was very efficient and staff were the perfect blend of both friendly and professional. We went for the early dinner menu which for the quality of food was great. However, drinks were very expensive. £7 for a bottled beer that doesn't amount to a pint is excessive. There are also only 125ml on selected wines available to order by the glass. A greater variety of by the glass and a 250ml option would have have made it 5star.
Tip - Girls need to check out the ladies, it's a botanical haven!!
All excellent but very noisy on a Saturday evening. Why do you need a dj when people want to talk
The decor and setting at The Ivy is fabulous and very well done. The tables were a bit crammed in.
The food was delicious, I even attempted to recreate one of the dishes at home because it was that tasty.
The staff were welcoming and friendly.
The service was a bit slow and we had to wait a while after our meal for the bill and then even longer to pay. I cannot fault my server who was very busy and apologetic, it was due to not having enough waiting staff on.
I went for my birthday and while it was a lovely meal, I was fed up with poor service in general and ready to leave.
It Is the welcoming staff at the Ivy Manchester , that make this an ideal place to enjoy food and drinks. I go to many restaurants in Manchester but always come back here . Thanks to all the team .
Lovely drinks but average food. Expected better quality for price. Also tables too close together and very noisy. Enjoyed the roof top bar for drinks afterwards
Excellent value for money.
I particularly enjoyed the fact that there were family groups dining and all ages were represented. This is important to me as I am over 60 and often feel out of place in restaurants where I am surrounded by trendy young things!
First visit there with my husband. Lovely relaxed dinining and lovely staff. Great food and great service . Will definitely go back .
The ambience and atmosphere was very rich. Music was great but could be a little lower so we can hear eachother catch-up on life’s gossip. Drinks were amazing and the price cost were already expected due to the Ivy’s reputation.
We decided against eating on our way to the venue and opted for drinks instead - however when we settled down we received a bit of pressure to be moved, despite apparent empty tables.
We are on the rooftop, it was lovely. Id like to have more vegetarian options please
Absolutely gorgeous time here once again. Been quite a few times now, and can honestly say, the service, food and ambience is impeccable every time. Thank you
I was there for lunch with two friends, loved the ambience and unpretentious atmosphere. Great service, friendly and very helpful staff. My corn fed chicken had the most amazing flavours. I want to go back to have it again!
Bread was hard waiter was took it off the bill but sides were served after finished meal was disappointed as book for a surprise bday meal however nice atmosphere
Food was ok bread was rock hard , waitress was nice but was expecting much more from this place
Beautiful décor and the staff were really friendly. Great menu. Love The Ivy.
Absolutely stunning. Food , service, surroundings and everything was fabulous
