Amazing food in a lovely environment. Would definitely return and recommend!!! 👍👍👍
As usual fabulous food and lovely service in a wonderful setting in the roof garden. Recommend.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. Everything done within social distancing guidelines
It was so good to be back at the Ivy .
We realise how hard all the staff are working to please the customers at this time . Well done everyone it was a pleasure to come and experience the hospitality
Amazing decor, food, drinks, service and atmosphere. 100% recommend.
Food, service and atmosphere were all excellent! Will definitely revisit soon!
So we love it here - everything was great as usual but I had the lobster linguine which I've never had before and was so underwhelmed. Given the cost of that dish (pretty sure it was the most expensive thing on the menu) I expected to be blown away (like I am with the other dishes) but was pretty disappointed really. My fault though.. Will obviously choose different next time. Service was brilliant and surroundings beautiful.
Food was good except the chunky chips were dry. It was like they had been reheated from the previous day. The service was excellent.
post lockdown very clean amazing hand sanitizers
food fabulous good atmosphere
great service very helpfull
was lots of customers but the extra space between tables meant felt safe
Well needed change of scene my daughter and I came down from Glasgow my husband raves about the Ivy as he is in Manchester gif work a lot.
My mum passed away from Covid 19.
The Ivy was just the tonic we needed! Staff, food ambience just perfect! Don’t change a thing x
Fabulous atmosphere, everyone attentive and considerate. Nothing was too much trouble for the highly knowledgeable staff who looked after us. Great food and wine
Amazing place to eat. Especially if the weather was good. But you're paying top dollar for food that for me didn't quite meet the standard. Ordered a sirloin steak that I requested Medium Rare and was very nearly on the well done side. Chips were great though! And the drinks. But was a fair whack of money for 2 people having lunch. Worth it for a date or special occasion, but don't expect the BEST of food.
G eat lunch great atmosphere
Pricey on drinks food fab service excellent
The best meal I have ever eaten! Everything about the ivy is phenomenal - the waitress who served us was so attentive and welcoming - the cocktails we had were divine - a faultless experience
Had a wonderful time here, as always. The service was exceptional.
Wonderful food and cocktails
Staff attitude was excellent, warm and friendly.
First weekend back open
Great food. Great service
Fantastic experience and food after lock down, the staff were very attentive and engaging.
Front of house management was dreadful. Arrived on time. No table. No problem. Then told immediately there was a table. Marched over to an area, only told to wait and then informed there was not table. Marched over to a waiting area, then informed there was no room. Take back to reception desk and told to wait as they were just setting the table, the taken over to a table that was already available and that we'd passed during our first outing to see if a table was available. Very poor and unorganised.
Excellent service once seated, polite and welcoming. Food was great and drinks service was also very good.
Pricey for what it is, but you know that before you book, so no complaints.
Will think again before rushing back, but will return.
The food was fantastic the staff were very patient and friendly. We were slightly worried that with the Covid 19 situation things would be a bit weird but the staff did a fantastic job in making everyone feel calm and relaxed.
I had the salmon and crab for starter followed by fillet of beef and it was all fantastic. We would also recommend there gin selection, in particular the rhubarb and ginger ale.
An overall lovely experience 👍
Super service, excellent food, all precautions taken
Unfortunately this is a bit of a false review as it was the last night before it closed down due to the virus.
We booked the roof top garden for 3 birthdays but we had to sit in the ground floor restaurant as it was closed.
Food was still good
Amazing evening even in these times of COVID-19. We'll be back supporting our favourite restaurant!
My food was served cold. I rarely ever complain but as it was a birthday treat I informed the waiter who did replace my meal with a hot one 15 minutes later when everyone had finished. No discount or refund was offered and when I checked my receipt a service charge had been applied without informing me. I would not return.
Beautiful venue. Great food & lovely staff & ambience. Fab birthday cake too!!
My partner and I have been eating at the Ivy generally once a week for the past few months and have always found it to be a very pleasurable experience on all counts, all the staff we have met are friendly yet professional and we shall be looking forward to our next visit and lots more to come
Very busy restaurant food very good service bit slow but very polite staff
The food was excellent and matched the service and quality of the restaurant.
But I wouldn’t recommend a Saturday night, as the music is so loud you can’t hear any conversation at the table and have to shout to make yourselves heard. This ruined a otherwise lovely night.
Excellent restaurant for a special occasion
Had the best time here. Had no idea where we had booked as we don't know Manchester at all but searched for a good restaurant near to the opera house. This is literally a few steps away.
The ambiance of the whole place really set the mood for the evening. Different to anything our home town of Lincoln has to offer and it had a great vibe.
The service was excellent and the staff were so respectful and polite.
The food didn't disappoint. I had the lobster pasta - it was delicious.
Cocktails were also brilliant.
Wouldn't hesitate to rush back next time we are in the area.
The Roof Garden is an excellent venue that copes well with a high customer count and a moderate turnover of guests. Our food was excellent and well prepared and the attentive staff were helpful. We enjoyed our meal fully and will no doubt be returning soon.
The food was absolutely magnificent and was equally matched by the service and venue.
The food was reasonably priced for the quality and it is a beautiful place for something a little different and special.
The only minor down side was the price of the drinks but it’s central Manchester so that’s expected.
Can’t wait to go again and have the monkfish curry it was truly wonderful.
Would recommend at the drop of a hat.
Special mention to Alexandro (from Valencia) who was so lovely and professional (mucho gusto).
Love this place! Booked a table on the roof terrace. Food, service and surroundings impeccable. Can’t wait to return.
Had a lovely afternoon here but my only fault was the music was far too loud!
Lovely staff, great food and beautiful cocktails everything about the experience was fantastic
Yes for drinks, no for food. Steaks were done very well instead if medium. Food overall taste not compatible with price
Service was brilliant. I’ve visited the Ivy before, but never the roof terrace. Food was lovely and the mood was great.
The live music was a little too loud, but nothing to cause concern.
Staff were polite.
Overall great experience, date went well. Will be back again.
Staff was lovely, food was very nice and good value for money.
Lunch menu was delicious and very good value for money. Had the goats cheese salad and the chickpea and sweet potato Thai curry, both were incredibly tasty and great vegetarian options.
