Had the best evening, Antonio was our server and he was the best… recommending some lovely cocktails!
I really really loved it here. The staff were fantastic. Every single one from the concierge to the waiter were superb (loved their outfits too!) They are a credit to the management. The decor and design of the place is really cool. I had the soufflé to start and my partner the salmon. I had the fillet steak and my partner had the duck curry. He had the chocolate bomb for dessert and I had the creme brûlée.
My only complaint is that my partner is a celiac. I would like to see clearly labelled gluten free options on the menu. I didn’t like how we had to go through it with the waiter. He kept having to double check with the kitchen over everything my boyfriend wanted. It became a bit draining. A lot of choices on there such as scallops for example weren’t GF where as they usually are elsewhere. He can usually tell what he can have just by looking at a menu and a lot of it was very grey here. It kept raising his hopes and then once they’d checked it had gluten. Even dishes that normally don’t! Surely a high end chain like the Ivy can get some GF signs on its menu! Everywhere else does. Miller and Carter for example is great at this.
Don’t let this detract from our enjoyment and love of the experience here. It was superb. We will return again soon. Loved the vibe. For us it was worth the hype and a lovely treat.
Excellent food, great service. A thoroughly enjoyable meal in a unique setting.
Had an amazing meal in the Ivy. The places is fabulous, service was first class as was the drinks. If you have a special occasion or just want to treat yourself this is the place to go.
Really great night will come again
Wonderful service and delicious, inventive food, as always, and having a separate vegetarian/vegan menu is such a nice touch as this doesn't make you feel like the poor relation.
Afternoon tea. Very good food and first class service. Not surprised that the place was busy. Will be returning soon.
Beautiful setting, warm and friendly staff. Felt it was overpriced and rather pretentious.
I came to the Ivy Manchester for lunch yesterday with my friend.
The staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs.
The food was excellent as I have come to expect from the Ivy group.
The surroundings were very comfortable and spotlessly clean.
I will definitely recommend to others and shall be dining here again in the near future.
The Ivy is beautiful, love the decor. The staff were very attentive and friendly.I would have liked a bit more choice on the lunch menu, but what I had was good.
Fabulous food and service. A real treat, Lovely roof garden
Just love this place, the food, the ambience and the EXPERIENCE never fails to deliver!
We’d wanted to go for a while and it didn’t disappoint. First class from
Walking through the doors to walking out again after a lovely lunch. Definitely go back…
Food amazing service amazing music a bit loud couldn't hear waiters explaining specials of the day or my partner but other than that amazing restaurant 👌👌👌
The food was great & the restaurant is lovely. Shame we had to ask 3 members of staff for the bill. Waiting to pay took almost as long as ordering, receiving and eating the food
Nice venue and atmosphere. I didn't feel that we received a warm welcome at the roof top bar. There was no smiles or 'Welcome' from the short haired lady when we approached the desk going into the restaurant. We waited 15 minutes before anyone came to take a drinks order. The water had no ice or lemon, which we asked for. The mushroom starter was cold. The fish was nice. Disappointed in the service. Friendly male waiter with blonde hair and spanish lady who topped our wine up, but overall slightly disappointed and expected more in terms of customer service and starter was disappointing.
It felt special and we were made to feel special.
We had an amazing lunch to celebrate my wife's birthday. The food was amazing, and the staff excellent. The decor is fantastic and The Ivy is by far the best restaurant we've been to in Manchester.
Another superb lunch at The Ivy. The food and service are consistently high and there isn't a nicer place to eat. Served by a young lad called Rob, who was attentive smart and knowledgeable and is a credit to The Ivy.
The service was very good - staff very helpful. However, the music was far too loud for me and not appropriate to the setting. Also, I dont think it was fair to charge extra for more tea - in most places, where they serve afternoon tea, they dont charge for extra tea. For these reasons we wont be coming again.
Great food, ambiance and service. Highly recommend.
Great for a birthday celebration. Highly recommend
Amazing night. The staff were lovely and our waitress was amazing. Highly recommend
Attended for my daughter’s 21st birthday. A Group of 5 ladies for Monday dinner. Having never been before, I loved it. Beautiful building and decor. (Even the Lady’s!) We were on the Roof Terrace which I am so pleased we booked. I think the other two floors would have been a bit too formal for our party. Great staff, lovely food at not a bad price considering the establishment. Drinks and cocktails are silly prices BUT I expected it at such a restaurant and In the middle of town. Thank you for making our experience wonderful. Service charge was added on automatically. Not sure if we were able to take it off but was happy to pay We would definitely return
Great food and excellent service. If you have never been then worth a trip.
Good selection of menu options and excellent food quality. Very friendly and efficient service.
Our table of 4 was a xmas 2019 present and at last we’ve been able go. We were made to feel very welcomed and felt at ease as soon as we arrived. The food tasted so fresh and delicious. There was a good selection to choose from. Iosef looked after us very well. A very happy, friendly and attentive young man. Looking forward to a return visit 😊
Great atmosphere food amazing and staff friendly and tentative
I have to say the standard of service we had was impeccable.
Celebrated my 30th on the Terrace. Was amazing! I’ve been here before and once again brilliant! Our waitress, a girl with two pony tails, was really great, so polite and friendly! Thank you I will be back soon :)
Lovely food, friendly staff and great setting - ideal for a celebration
It is beautiful, well organized and staff are friendly enough. Expected more but overall decent, probably won’t go again.
Booked for a Birthday lunch with two friends. We were asked when checking in at Reception if it was for a special occasion and advised two birthdays out of a party of three. We ordered drinks and they came but we then sat for 45 minutes waiting for our food. When we had finished our main course, perused the dessert menu and ordered coffee I rather expected the slice of chocolate cake and a candle to be brought for my friends but nothing materialised! We paid the bill and left.
I feel communication needs to be reviewed between Reception and Restaurant.
It rather took the gloss off what was a first time visit for one of our party.
We enjoyed a great lunch, we loved the ambience and hopefully we’ll return soon.
We were a table of six but we could not chat as a group as the music was so loud. We even had to keep repeating ourselves to the server.
Not only was it loud but all the music played had a thumping beat that reverberated through the bench seat.
It was more appropriate to a nightclub than a lunch with friends.
When we asked for it to be turned down we were told “head office decides on the music volume in all our restaurants and we can’t alter it!!)
The fish of the day was turbot - never cheap but worth it if cooked properly - unfortunately it was over cooked and not worth the price.
I have been before and had a really good experience so invited five others who had never tried the Ivy in Manchester. Unfortunately the music issue put us all off returning.
Excellent Food & Drink in such an exquisite environment. The staff service could not be faulted and are a credit to The Ivy. Will deffo be back
Fantastic birthday meal.
My husband and I loved everything about our time at the Ivy, you made our celebration special and already looking to book again.
Belated birthday gift from friends, and delighted with their choice. We had a table in the roof garden. The service and ambiance was excellent only 4 stars for the food as the chunky chips were a bit overdone. Everything else including starters and deserts were excellent . This was our first visit and we will certainly come again.
