The newly opened Ivy Royal Windsor is the latest gem in our modern-day brasserie crown. Located close to Windsor Castle, it is the perfect place for locals and the visitors who flock here to see the changing of the guard ceremony, to enjoy delectable dishes and celebratory drinks.

In light of Windsor's rich royal heritage, beautifully designed interiors are brimming with elegant touches. Delicate shades of red and gold feature on sumptuous soft furnishings and in the finish of our sophisticated central bar, while pretty jewel-like colours can also be seen in stunning murals and carefully-curated artworks. Magnificent grandiose restaurant with amazing decor and ambience , amazingly attentive staff. Located directly in front of Windsor Castle . We had the Set Breakfast menu - Smoothie , English breakfast and Croissant for £17:95 - good value , but beware , by the time you add tea (£4.25), toast (£3.50) , bottled water (£5.50) and service charge it's a fair bit more. However, it was lovely , the service is quick and relaxed as it is a very large site. Only drawback was that all the breakfast is brought to the table at the same time . so , when there are 2 of you on a small table , there is little space to manoeuvre. I understand the need to "fit as many tables in" to optimise covers, but I'm sure there are ways to allow more space Side table perhaps ? The staff are very efficient though and do clear the finished items away promptly.

Beautiful restaurant, we had the afternoon tea menu and it was absolutely delicious. Tried their lilibet cocktails as well. Served by Rory who gave an exceptional service. Will be back

When looking for a venue for a quiet business meeting, the Ivy immediately came to mind. As with all of their branches that I have visited, the decor and furnishings stand out along with the uniforms worn by some of the staff. Service remains attentive and discreet, food is always excellent. My partner and I were able to converse easily without being overwhelmed by extraneous noise and we enjoyed a relaxed lunch. I have a general aversion to chains, but the Ivy is a standout exception.
