The Ivy Soho Brasserie
Decorated with artworks inspired by Soho’s music scene, as well as William Blake (Broadwick’s most famous resident), the space is made up of a restaurant, bar, private dining room and terrace with Parisian-style seating. Open seven days a week, the modern British menu will be available from dawn till dusk for local workers, residents, shoppers and visitors to enjoy. Being located in Soho, the brasserie will have a DJ spinning music every Friday and Saturday from 7pm and on weekends during brunch until close.
The Ivy Soho Brasserie’s look and feel has been created by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio and notable features include an onyx bar, bronze pendant lighting, marble floor tiles, polished parquet and a mixture of burnt orange leather and velvet banquettes and bar stools.
Exceptional service and very friendly/helpful staff
I hosted a business lunch here and found it to be perfect. The noise level was minimal, food and service was to high standard.
Great meal. Service and food both excellent. Would recommend!
Very good food in a nice but vibrant atmosphere. Nice, modern and relaxed interior. Very good and friendly service.
Fantastic lunch. Service was amazing and the food was delicious.
Great service. Great location. But loud
Food was delicious. Guy at the reception/concierge nice and helpful.
My friend and I were celebrating our birthdays. Lovely venue, very friendly, welcoming, staff. Very attentative, catered to our every need. Delicious food, The chef even sent out a complimentary birthday desert which was a surprise treat for us!
Highly recommend, close proximity to theatres.
Whilst the food was excellent the service was patchy, we had to ask 2 different wait staff twice for ice, a glass of red wine didn’t appear until we repeatedly asked for it & the side orders didn’t arrive together. Great food but the staff let the experience down by appearing undertrained
This was 30th trip was highly looking forward to dining in the ivy , as we have been to are local one many of times in Manchester we knew we would be in safe hands- but to all 8 girls this was disappointing. First they give us all different menus, second are drinks took 40 mins to arrive, third the starters arrived but missed one out, four one the girls mains came out wrong , further 10 mins she waited while the rest us had food to be told they had ran out of the request meal- she was left with nothing - they took off a round of drinks and said she wouldn’t have to pay for
Her main!!! That never came! Once the bill was settled they also charge us for starter that never arrived- the only thing the manager “Callum Neild” did was give us a business card and said next time we could of champagne, which none of the girls live in London this was a special occasion for my 30th which the restaurant was aware, it was upsetting and left all girls feeling deflated and one left with no meal at all. Could of received better service in a weatherspoons than what we where given in this restaurant and for more than half the price off the 300 pound bill we had at the end. Disgraceful when you think off it like that not the service we expected.
Really fresh, delicious menu - a struggle to choose!
We enjoyed our visit and the meal was excellent - however it was DJ night and although the music was fine - it was too loud. I'm not deaf but you just have to shout across the table to be heard. Personally, I really don't like this - so unnecessary. I suppose that I am in a minority - sign of the times!
First comment was about vacating the table after 1.5 hours then 15 minutes before drinks order. Just finished dessert when time was up. Offered stools at bar but standing room only. Menu good and cocktails reasonably priced.
My sisters came first time to London , I chose ivy to make them feel special .
I was disappointed as I didn’t really feel we were looked after.
We didn’t pay service charge , the waiter didn’t even ask why .
Fantastic place to eat. Dined outside for brunch with friends - delicious food, great atmosphere and lovely staff.
Lovely restaurant, good service, buzzy place.
They seem to have a problem chilling wine. On several occasions the Rose wine has been barely cold. And what is it with putting your wine in a bucket miles away from your table and having to ask the waiter time and time again to fill the glasses on the table. Sort it out Ivy.
Also, VERY disappointed they are STILL using plastic straws in their cocktails - not very acceptable any more in this day and age, is it?
Unfortunately both the staff members that served us were not particularly friendly and at one point actually quite rude. We felt rushed by the end and I'm afraid it did affect the experience which was a pre-wedding celebration with a friend.
Service was terrible. Three of us received our food and the fourth diner had to wait ten minutes for his. When highlighted to the wait staff there was no rush to sort the error out.
Lovely place a little pricey but worth it great place to socialise and food is great too!
Maggie was absolutely incredible! A true professional! Made us feel at home and welcome from the moment we arrived. Thankyou!!
Amazing customer service- Turley a lovely dinning experience- only issue we asked for some water was given bottled when all other tables had tap water, would prefer to be given the option but overall amazing experience loved it will be going back
We booked for 10:30pm, arrived from theater at 10:40pm, they siad the kitchen was about to close, and they were not sure if we could have dinner. It ended up having dinner but it was a rushed affair. Next time just don't accept 10:30pm reservations.
have been here before for lunch and really enjoyed it. The only difference for an evening meal was for some reason they have a DJ - not speaking just playing music and it was really loud! so difficult to have a proper conversation. Otherwise good food and drink on offer
Absolutely Outstanding - as always!!
Antonia was our star of the day!
Lovely menu and food options, meat, fish, vegetarian and small appetites.
Service is very good and recommend the cocktails and frothy hot chocolate !
Beautiful comfortable surroundings too.
We booked an early table and took advantage of the pre theatre set menu, which was extremely well priced given the choices available. The service was attentive but discreet and the food exceptional. We will definitely dine here again when next in London
Way way way too noisy - impossible to speak to people other than the person immediately next to you.
I love the ambiance and decor of this Ivy Brasserie but sometimes the noise levels are so high that everyone seems to be shouting to be heard. The service is good and the food is good.
As ever a lovely meal and can’t fault the service food or anything.
The location, service, staff are all excellent. Beautifully styled room and lovely attention to detail.
I've been several times but sadly, the vegetarian/vegan options are still a bit disappointing.
Nice sides though, especially the courgette fries.
We come here often, and generally a great experience. This time we waited about 1h between starters and mains, which had never happened - hence the 3 stars on service.
These things can happen though, and we will definitely keep coming back.
Lovely menu and food, and a great setting. However service could've been faster, considering it was a Tuesday evening and the restaurant was only half full.
I have visited The Soho Brasserie many times as I find it to be the best location when going out as I frequent Soho a lot. However I have probably only once received acceptable service. The wait staff seem bored and uninterested. I do not expect a sense add but to actually talk to the customer may be nice, even if it’s just a quick ‘enjoy your meal’. Our waitress was incredibly rude and served a flat Diet Coke, when asked to change it she insisted its meant to be flat and stormed off grumpily to change it. She then didn’t return to our table where another server served us without saying a word. I’ve also had waiters be inappropriate and ‘stare’ when I visited with a group of female friends before not long ago. However the food was good and service was fast. But I think I will be sticking to the Kensington restaurant from now on.
Pre-theatre 2 course meal. Allowed 2 hours and took full 2 hours. Food was nice, wait staff were friendly and attentive except for the order possibly going missing.
We had a much needed breakfast. Fabulous. Wish I could have breakfast there everyday 😀👍
Food was really nice & not expensive but the service was not the best. The waitress seemed to have an attitude which was disappointing.
Went with friends for my Wife's Birthday great atmosphere and ambience. Food was good however service was poor. We complained about the service and the manager was fantastic and made amends so we will defiantly go back as it was handled so well
Have been to many branches of The Ivy Brasserie and never disappointed until visiting the Soho branch. Food was delicious however waitress was slow, surly and disinterested. Forgot one starter, which we reordered but also didn’t turn up. Both still appeared on our bill, as well as a £11 cocktail charge which should’ve been a £3.50 soft drink. Again, no one seemed bothered. A shame as a dent in the franchise, however would recommend any of the others as an alternative.
We decided to go for the Ivy for the atmosphere. The music is great, the deco, the vibe! We ordered eggs Benedict avocado (excellent choice), fish and chips which my husband loved and a steak tartare (to die for!!! Smoky excellent surprise!) we definitely advise anyone to choose going over Ivy’s for brunch!
Went for dinner. The beetroot & feta on watermelon was amazing...highly recommend it. Warm night so sat outside but it was noisy (probably due to the London Pride celebrations). Our fault but staff should maybe have called it out and let us make a decision. All that aside will definitely be back!
