The Ivy Soho Brasserie
Decorated with artworks inspired by Soho’s music scene, as well as William Blake (Broadwick’s most famous resident), the space is made up of a restaurant, bar, private dining room and terrace with Parisian-style seating. Open seven days a week, the modern British menu will be available from dawn till dusk for local workers, residents, shoppers and visitors to enjoy. Being located in Soho, the brasserie will have a DJ spinning music every Friday and Saturday from 7pm and on weekends during brunch until close.
The Ivy Soho Brasserie’s look and feel has been created by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio and notable features include an onyx bar, bronze pendant lighting, marble floor tiles, polished parquet and a mixture of burnt orange leather and velvet banquettes and bar stools.
One of our party who is vegetarian and ordered a vegetarian shepherds pie was served a meat version. No apology or acknowledgment from our waiter and no further compensation other than not paying for the offending item. Very disappointing service.
Very loud place. Food was OK but quite expensive for what you get
The ivy soho is one of my favourite place in London and have been there a couple of times. but the latest experience was disappointed. We booked a table for 8.45pm and we have only been seated at 9.10pm... 25 minutes wait is pretty long... but overall the food was good as usual! The front desk should relook at their time management and perhaps manage customers a bit better than ignoring the waiting time and let them at the bar which is already super crowded...
I made a table reservation and had to wait more than half an hour to be able to sit
Our second visit to an Ivy restaurant.
The prawn cocktails are a meal in themselves but are delicious. We had fish cakes and a shepherds pie a with a mixture of the wonderful vegetables.
The table sevice was discreet and efficient
One thing ... you could do with a bit more space or a more efficient system for coats in and out, and people booking in as it was a little chaotic as we left.
All fine thought.
I'd go again.
Poor quality of food. Sent sides back twice and still came back cold. Steaks came, then waited five minutes for sides and other three meals
We were the only people in the entire restaurant (breakfast) - this didn't create a good atmosphere and, despite there being nobody else to serve, the service was poor and you had to stand up and find a waiter every time we needed something. The food was average and the gas was apparently out that day, so they couldn't cook a number of items on the menu. Despite the lovely decor, I won't be going back.
There was an issue with their gas supply that meant a lot of items were off the menu. Two of our items weren’t warm and had to be sent back. Disappointing.
Menu was limited due to a problem with the gas in the kitchen.
Shepherds pie was lukewarm and a tad on the small side, although tasted good.
The duck in the Crispy duck salad that my partner had as a main dish (not a starter) was overcooked and rather a bit too crispy.
Everything else was fine.
The Ivy in Soho is really lovely. Beautifully decorated, and really nice atmosphere. Door staff were very friendly on entering. Slightly fell down from there. The restaurant was not busy (half term) the waiter took forever to take our order, we had to ask repeatedly to give it. Then the food, three basic mains and some sides took about an hour to come after ordering. Food was good but really felt down by the service, if it was busy I could understand but mostly empty tables. Such a shame as was my 50th birthday!
Lovely ambience and service. We had the set menu after a theatre visit and was extremely happy
Very noisy, tables too close together and very
Typical usual offering food wise but the service was terrible. 45 minute wait for starters! The waiter accidentally knocked my wallet on the floor, was in such a rush that he didn’t see it. He then went to clear the glasses and took my drink before it had finished, without asking. Was not an enjoyable experience.
Excellent all round. My main was very good but the rest of our dishes were excellent. Good, friendly service. Would definitely recommend.
Perfectly average on all respects.
Fab as always. Impeccable service and delicious food
The food is exceptional and offers a selection for everyone, we had two vegans in our party and they had lots of choice. With the exception of puddings.
Service quick and polite and the atmosphere is brilliant. Have been twice now and will definitely be back!
Good brunch - portions are quite small though. Overall it's a nice space but on the weekends it can be VERY loud
Nice breakfast. The first waiter wasn’t as clued you about gluten free - even though I ordered the gluten free bread with the full English, I had to reconfirm with a manager to have the rest of the breakfast made GF.
Great experience overall!
Had dinner my friends and location , dj set and food were the perfect combination for a Saturday dinner out:)
Nice place, food okay for the price, but I have definitely had better. I eat out a lot in London restaurants and it was a 5 out of 10
Good food and choices. Table ready when booked. Good range of wines.
Very noisy. Told after 1.75 hrs in restaurant that our table would be required in 20 mins. As a party of 6 table should have bern ours for 2.5 hrs. To be fair waiter did come back and say “ No rush”. A bit puzzling though.
Great atmosphere, good food and wine. Beer is so-so and portions could be bigger.
Great food. Excellent menu and good service. Lovely setting but the tables are packed in so it was quite noisy.
Super food - lovely restaurant. Would definitely recommend.
It's a very stylish venue, and despite being late to our booking, the staff still managed to fit us in. The service was impeccable and very quick which was much appreciated as we were off to the theatre afterwards!
While as you would expect the standard of food was good, on this occasion the service was slow and there were just too many tables crammed in. I had to keep moving my chair to allow people out for the adjacent two tables to the point where it was intrusive.
Food was good, service was a bit slow.
The food was outstanding and the Valentine’s Day special Dessert was to die for!!!
Cracking food, drinks, service, atmosphere, DJ and company!
This was a disappointing meal for Valentine’s Day. The service was awful, with my friend having to ask for things multiple times. They kept the wine away from the table and I had to ask for the remainder of it to be poured into our glasses when paying the bill as the waiter was not at all attentive and we would have left without finishing what we had paid for (or even be offered it). Their excuse was that it was Valentine’s Day and it was busy - a poor excuse. The food was good, but not worth the prices.
Brilliant food and service. Great atmosphere
This was a Birthday treat for my wife. The whole experience was excellent. Tables nicely spaced, service attentive and friendly. The food was superb and served quickly. The atmosphere was great.
The restaurant is conveniently located to the theatres (we saw Mary Poppins at the Prince Albert Theatre) which was a 6 minute walk away.
I would highly recommend it and would look to go again next time in town.
Fabulous food, great service and it’s such a lovely environment. Would definitely go again!
Service was beyond wonderful. Waitress went out of her way to help us leave on time to get to the theatre. Promote this lady!!! Xxx
Nice venue with plenty of room move around and tables not on top of each other. Good decor and pleasant bar for a pre-dinner drink if required. The service was good, with friendly and helpful staff at the check-in, bar and the table. The food was well prepared and presented, with appropriate sized portions. The house red was very drinkable and our glasses were regularly topped up by the attentive staff. A pleasant experience and good value for what we ate and drank.
Great food and service : most of all client was happy: thanks
For my boyfriends 30th birthday I decided to take him to the well known Soho Ivy brasserie. Mid way through his dessert he felt something sticky on his back. He had toffee sauce poured on him by accident all down a crisp white shirt. When I pointed this out to the waiter he got his manager (Luigi I think) who came over and had a look and didn’t say anything just looked at me. I pointed at my boyfriends back and the chair he was sat in was covered in sticky sauce. He said hang on one minute and came back with a damp napkin which he had put in water told him to lean forward over the table and started rubbing his back. Without even asking his permission. He then said I can take you to the bathroom to do more? At which point I laughed and said no please leave it. He then came back with the bill and I joked with him to take off dessert. Shocking service. We then go to use a voucher which I find the branch I brought it from haven’t even uploaded the money onto !!!! Shocking customer service. Will never bother again.
Cozy and nice place for everyday dining and fish and chips was good. But somehow the staff came to my table a lot so that I felt they wanted me to go out.
