The Ivy Soho Brasserie
Decorated with artworks inspired by Soho’s music scene, as well as William Blake (Broadwick’s most famous resident), the space is made up of a restaurant, bar, private dining room and terrace with Parisian-style seating. Open seven days a week, the modern British menu will be available from dawn till dusk for local workers, residents, shoppers and visitors to enjoy. Being located in Soho, the brasserie will have a DJ spinning music every Friday and Saturday from 7pm and on weekends during brunch until close.
The Ivy Soho Brasserie’s look and feel has been created by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio and notable features include an onyx bar, bronze pendant lighting, marble floor tiles, polished parquet and a mixture of burnt orange leather and velvet banquettes and bar stools.
loved it here, had a lovely time at the bar after dinner. Sampled more than a few cocktails!
Perfect date spot, DJ adds a great vibe to a Friday night.
we came for pre theater menu before going to see Matilda with my grandson. Service quick and efficient and they made a real fuss over my young companion!
Love the veggie shepherds pie, absolutely massive and so tasty!
Food excellent, Drinks a bit on the expensive side, service efficient.
You know what you're going to get when you eat in an Ivy restaurant, and the Soho branch is no exception. Very friendly staff too.
Had a fantastic time meeting friends here for pre christmas lunch. A very lively place with lots of loud groups, but gave it a great atmosphere.
Been coming here for a couple of years and it never lets me down. Very friendly welcoming staff, especially at reception and food is always delicious.
love the xmas decorations, a realy cosy spot when sat on the terrace!
Thank you for looking after us so well, you made my mum's birthday extra special.
Superb food and wine and the service was first class. The Ivy Brasserie has a lovely ambience and we will definitely be back !
Rude unhelpful people on the front desk (although to be fair they did change our table from 5 to 6), noise level was crazy loud so couldn't hear the prson in front of me speak, waiter kept bringing wine without asking us if we wanted another bottle, food was good and came promptly but would l=think twice about going to this restaurant again.
Drinks were so slow to arrive once we got them ordered. Manager did apologise.
Lovely dinner, big selection of menu and wines, good value for money
We had an early supper at the Soho Ivy. The restaurant was very busy in the run up to Christmas but the service for both drinks and food was very good. The food is always very good with a good veggie selection. The wine by the glass was expensive and a 2 course meal for 3 cost £171 which was far to much money for what we had. Overall a lovely treat but overpriced.
Lovely atmosphere and great staff Great food and why do i have to write 50 words on this site!!
the waiter was not the best for the quality and type of venue. he wouldn't update the drinks order despite them not having been made, an order was wrong and he hadn't checked the order back to us and we would have spotted his mistake, and he was really attentive - watching others tables whilst serving or taking orders from us. food was overall good, albeit the burger was so dried out and lacked flavour. told the waiter and he just said "ok"
atmosphere lively and very busy so suited us as a small table of four but probably not for couples or more intimate dining. nice venue, unsure if the cost reflects the overall food and service quality expected in The Ivy.
Noisy Christmas atmosphere, good service once it got going, Good food except for the Lobster Risotto which needs to be rethought so it actually is a risotto and not just lobster, sauce and rice.
Underwhelming for a couple out for a Christmas treat. We arrived on time for our reserved table and was asked to wait at the bar. Fair enough as it was busy in the run up to Christmas. Started going downhill; too much ice in the cocktails and not even a single peanut to nibble. Order taken reasonably quickly but then the wait began. Starters were tolerable; scallops slightly undercooked, truffle oil on mozzarella lacked bite. Wait for the main course far, far too long. The market specials should have been easy enough to prepare. The venison was enjoyed but the turbot was spoiled by the sauce and for the price was a very mean helping. The peas were nice.
After a dismal wait the desert menu arrived with a handful of unexciting choices which I would probably not have ordered anyway but my patience had expired. The waiter did offer tea on the house as he was embarrassed by seeing that we had to top up our own wine glasses. Offer politely refused. We had arrived on time at 13.30 and it was now 16.00. Time to escape.
The Christmas rush is hardly unpredictable so seeing the waiters and receptionists having to double up on table-clearing tells me that hospitality staff are starting to become scarce.
Overall disappointing. Poor value for money, nowhere near as good as the Shard for example, let alone Michelin starred establishments where perfection can cost less than today's offering. Not coming back.
Great Brasserie atmosphere. A bit loud but it was pretty full so shouldn’t be surprised.
A couple of orders took a reminder.
All round very good and Christmassy
A place to go to for lovely atmosphere rather than high quality food. A little too noisy but great to be with people all having a lovely time.
Service was very slow and quite a lot of the options on the menu were not available.
The main course was luke warm and the drinks came after our main course.
I would recommend The Ivy Soho for a group of friends or colleagues - the menu is extensive and has a great selection of wines. And malted banana dessert is the best thing ever!! However, specific to our booking, I had organised this for a client Christmas meal based on recommendations. While they were accommodating to squeeze one more person in last minute, we were in quite a loud thoroughfare section of the restaurant. Our waiter was nice, but he was quite clumsy and service was quite slow at times (20 minutes wait for a bottle of champagne that he then spilled over glasses...) However the food was really nice, and everyone was pleased. Lastly, to the restaurant - if you offer a 'gluten free option' to the fresh bread, PLEASE never again bring out sliced toasted GF bread. Surely you could get at least a GF bread roll...
Lovely restaurant. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food excellent. 2nd time have dined there. Will go again.
We went to celebrate my husband's birthday and felt that staff ensured that it felt like a special occasion. The food was excellent and there was a good choice of vegetarian/vegan options. I'd love to go again.
Terrible service, bland food, unbearable noise levels inside, and a fully active digger outside.
Always very good - food, service and consistent with other branches. Reliability excellent
We arrived a head of time, by 30 minutes so sat at the bar. We wasn’t seated until 45minutes later, so 15minutes over the reserved time. However the table we was seated at had been empty but uncleared and uncleaned for the duration of our time at the bar. It took over 25 minutes to receive our main meals after our starters. Two out of the three meals was shepherds pie, these were Luke warm. So took along time to gain a member staff attention, to which they returned the items to kitchen. The new items that came out were only slightly warmer, they were not hot. Had ordered sides of thick chips so when pie came out the chips had gone cold, so asked for new chips. Surely that should of been thought of by the staff originally. A manager did remove these items from the bill. However this does not satisfy the disappointment of the food served.
I love the vibes here but a Christmas meal wasn't really as special as we had hoped. The staff were confused and over run. We had the wrong food brought to the table several times and in the end some of us finished our food before others food had even arrived. It wouldn't have been so bad had it not been a special family occasion, but I had visited in advance to tell them that it was, and to secure a great table. We had a poor table at the back and weren't made to feel special at all.
Shame as the Ivy is usually a lovely experience.
Mixed feelings as the food was delicious. The environment is very chaotic and the service reflects this. It wasn't a relaxed dining experience but absolutely no complaints on what we were served. In this price range, I like to feel more relaxed.
Great food, great atmosphere
Everything was good, delicious food and coffee. but when we wanted to pay the servers seemed to have disappeared and ended up going up to a server to pay. Same thing happened when wanting to order more coffee. Plates are a little on the small side (eggs Royale) but alas it was delicious. Servers were very amicable polite and nice.
Reserved a table at 9.45, on arrival told to have drink at the bar and we’d be called. No call after 30 minutes to enquired. Told they’d be with us ASAP. Another 20 mins passed still nothing. Enquired again and it appeared they’d “forgotten” us. Sat down and ordered at 11.10pm. 4 meals ordered 2 were cold. Complained & offered a re cook but as it was so late we declined. These meals deducted. Paid bill and left with no apology. Very disappointing SoHo is NOTHING like the other Ivy Brasseries were they are 5* and attentive. Complained at the end but offered nothing in exchange. On looking at the bill next morning they’d charged us for a 5th meal we NEVER ordered! Very displeased. Would not visit again. Manchester Ivy & Covent Garden is far superior.
Great food. Great wine. Great staff what more can I say!
We were located on a middle Table at the back. Right under two speakers. DJ blasted out all night. Couldn’t talk to our guests as music was so loud. I asked the DJ for help. She confirms there is always a problem with these middle tables. She said she would ask the manager as the controls on speakers weren’t individual they were only “front or back” (of restaurant). I believe she did ask but nothing happened. I then asked our waiter. He went to ask manager and returned with the message that the manager he said they he arranged for a DJ, it was the weekend, so they will turn it down a bit but...!”. The music continued to pump out and only got louder as the evening went on.
1. I am a regular diner at all Ivys. (I have my next booking at the original Ivy on 19th for example). Why was I given such a poor table? I booked it weeks ago too.
2. Why is this an ongoing problem as confirmed by the DJ? Why haven’t you sorted it out already?
3. Why did the obviously adopted A “screw you” attitude to us which he obviously did. He didn’t even come out to talk to us.
4. Why didn’t you tell us on booking you had a DJ?
It all ruined our evening to be honest. Our guests were elderly over from NYC. It was very poor for them especially. And embarrassing for us.
Fantastic experience, great room with plenty of atmosphere, nice bar area , service top notch and the DJ and music spot on. will be back soon
Excellent food, pleasant ambiance, not to expensive, beautiful festive decoration.
A memorable evening, lively atmosphere great food and considerate staff who catered for our needs without being over conspicuous
Sat next to a very loud table, the very kind waiter tried to move us but with no luck. Food was quite slow, but nice.
Having had a really lovely experience last time we visited, this was a let down.
