The Ivy Soho Brasserie
Decorated with artworks inspired by Soho’s music scene, as well as William Blake (Broadwick’s most famous resident), the space is made up of a restaurant, bar, private dining room and terrace with Parisian-style seating. Open seven days a week, the modern British menu will be available from dawn till dusk for local workers, residents, shoppers and visitors to enjoy. Being located in Soho, the brasserie will have a DJ spinning music every Friday and Saturday from 7pm and on weekends during brunch until close.
The Ivy Soho Brasserie’s look and feel has been created by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio and notable features include an onyx bar, bronze pendant lighting, marble floor tiles, polished parquet and a mixture of burnt orange leather and velvet banquettes and bar stools.

Loved it here. Great venue. Staff very friendly and helpful. It was a great experience. Food delicious and great value. Extra touch for my birthday which made it even more special.
Everything was perfect except the service that made us rush to leave...We understand that maybe they should close but once you accept a dinner reservation you can't rush anyone to leave. It's not professional.
Also I've sended an enquiry days before and they never replied.
Service was poor- had to flag down to order for everything, never was asked how our meal was and had to pour our own wine. It was also extremely loud and difficult to converse. One person at our table had the chicken Milanese which he enjoyed but I and the other person at our table got the minute steak that was incredibly salty - so much so that I could not finish it.
Overall overrated and overhyped and not worth going to.
Really bad service, very slow. Had to ask for someone to come and take our order, drinks weren’t topped up and they got our order wrong
Sat us outside even tho requested inside when booking. Staff seemed confused & annoyed when we asked to order.
Food was exquisite and amazing vibes with the live DJ.
Very nice ambience and always love a corner table. Food great, as usual. First time I’ve visited this location and won’t be the last..
Had read some negative reviews online and the table next to ours had the service charge removed from their bill as they had dirty glasses, poor service and waiting for their bill.
Our experience was far from theirs, our food and drinks order were taken promptly, food arrived in a timely manner, our wine was kept topped up, the bill was presented within 5 mins and payment taken. Overall a good experience and food was excellent and very tasty: scallops, black cod, pig cheeks. If I were being really picky I could argue that the green beans were slightly undercooked but edible. Would recommend and revisit.
Great food as always, however food came very quickly after drinks
We often visit the Ivy restaurants and this trip did not disappoint for food quality but let down by the attentiveness of the servers and unfortunately our waitress had difficulty in understanding us. We appreciate that English may not be the first language but to have to repeat the order three times each for both food and drinks was annoying and we would expect her to know what was on the menu well enough. (Mainly fillet steak and scallops ordered!) In addition, the noise level was slightly high. We were having a business meeting/catch up which resulted in much of the business element having to be discussed after we left as we could not hear each other properly on a table of four.
“SERVICE WITH A SMILE”..or NO smile in our case…
Our waitress was our main problem…
My friend had been before to another location so she asked the waitress if we could order a larger portion as a main instead of as a starter of the duck salad.
The waitress assured her that it would be big enough.. it wasn’t.
Waitress also failed to ensure that everything was ok mid meal.
I wanted to remove the service charge but my friend stopped me.
The waitress .. hmm 🤔
Enough said 🤷🏻♀️
Very disappointed with last nights visit. Rude serving staff, rushed service, asked 10 times to order, unavailable drinks, extremely loud music that meant we had to shout at each other, very little distance between tables, £80 over charge mistake to the bill. Overall terrible.
Just ok. Not like it used to be. Quality of food very average. Good atmosphere, nothing to shout out about!
We sat outside. Got a bit nippy later on but it was way quieter than inside which is always hectic when busy
Rib-eye on the bone was a large lump of fat. Peppercorn sauce served 10mins after main was served and was cold.
Staff were unwilling to help find alternatives to the meals on offer despite me explaining my allergy. Very disappointing.
Stunning venue with great ambiance and stylish colourful 1930s (?) inspired decor, but somehow managing to stay sophisticated and modern. Great menu of superbly cooked food, with great selection of veggie and vegan options, and a good understanding of food allergies, etc. The Staff were attentive, efficient and available when required, and could also sense when to leave us to talk. Pretty much the perfect dining experience for a group of 6 celebrating a birthday. ... My only negative was the music went quite disco as the night wore on, which was fine and we liked it, but it didn't completely match the look and feel of the place. It would have been great if there was also a dance-floor, but, I am seriously nit-picking. If you haven't been to an Ivy, you should go. The all offer a timeless, classy service, with great food, and a surprisingly reasonable bill at the end of a very long eating and drinking session. It was an experience that 95% of London restaurants could not hold a torch to. You should go.
Usually this place is good but it took ages to get served (we had to waive for attention) and the food was average
Very nice atmosphere & decor , food excellent , service was very good , this a restaurant we would certainly revisit when in the region
Service was very slow and they forgot parts of the main course
Food was really good quality and tasty. However half a butternut squash and some chickpeas didn’t warrant a £15 charge. The service was ok but not great, our particular waitress repeatedly said “what?” Instead of excuse me when asking us to repeat ourselves. The bar staff were much friendlier. We weren’t offered a veggie menu on arrival, and if I hadn’t had seen this menu online, I wouldn’t have known it existed. The seat we were given as a party of 2 was disappointing to say the least: on the end of a party of 4 sat on the same sofa, and on the other side we were blocked in by the table where servers got plates and cutlery. So we couldn’t see the space. And it was not intimate to say the least as we either had to talk over the party next to us, or the clash of plates on the other. Plus the space was beautiful and completely wasted on us as we couldn’t enjoy it at all.
Stood hapless at reception for a long time while 3 staff members were distracted by data entry.
Gravy missing from food items - waiter seemed disinterested in chasing and they never arrived.
Do not recommend this IVY branch.
Ordered fish and chips, fish was good chips were disgusting, small ends in the full container, also cold. Looked like the dregs from a full days frying. Absolutely awful, very very disappointed, expected better from the Ivy, we will think twice before coming again. Service from waitress was good no complaints there .
Booking was for 4.30, so a quiet time to eat and made to celebrate a birthday and noted in the booking. The food was all delicious but we found the service to be quite slow & slightly inattentive, in that we found it difficult to get their attention when required and staff not overly cheerful. No reference to the birthday was made which might have been nice. Overall we enjoyed our meal & would visit again, I expect there’d be a better atmosphere later in the day.
Decided to celebrate my birthday here which was an absolute mistake. Service was so slow and the food wasn’t great and it was overpriced. Ordered steak medium rare but came out well done. We waited for our dessert for more than 20 minutes and in the end we had to cancel our order cause it was just taking too long. The place looked really nice though. But still won’t visit again.
Lovely staff, beautiful venue, great food & service
Service was very slow and food was average for the price. disappointed with our visit, had better food in the smaller soho restaurants
We were served by Elliot, we believe that was his name, we received such immaculate service. He was very attentive, food was amazing, all very quick, but we didn’t feel rushed to leave. Would highly recommended over and over again. Elliot is an asset to the ivy. 10/10 service from him.
I’ve been to a few different ivys and I just prefer the ivy Chelsea garden or the one in Canary Wharf
The Food and staff were amazing but the service was exceptionally slow.
This is not a restaurant you come to if you want a speedy or quick lunch. It took over 20 mins to get the bill, however, the staff were extremely friendly and the food was gorgeous.
Outstanding service and food. A truly wonderful experience.
Booking here because of the high tea service. Was seated right away, ordered afternoon tea, server left and 10 minutes later manager came back saying they did not do high tea on the weekend.
Manager left without an apology or pointing out where that was listed. I would have booked elsewhere if that was the case. Manage cane back saying, ok we will do it.
Server no whee to be found.
Tea services arrived, it was great. No server came back for 30 minutes until I said something to hostess. At this point 1 hour into service abs still no order.
Manager came abs said there was confusion and our order was on hold.
1.5 hours we actually got our entree. 25 minutes after finishing entree the bill arrived. The original server never came back and no manager.
Food good but service horrible.
Terrible, terrible service.
The Ivy Soho has lost its magic, poorly run & much better places nearby.
Took my family for breakfast for my daughter’s birthday. The food was ok but the service was appalling we had to wait ages to be served - the whole experience was not what I was expecting
We have waited over 40 minutes for our dishes and didn’t get them.
When we asked the waitress about it she said she will check several times and eventually that it takes more time because we didn’t order starters.
After requesting to cancel the dishes 45 minutes after we ordered them and almost a hour after we sat down we left with no compensation and no food.
This was the ivy in soho. We have eaten several times at the ivy restaurants and always everything has been great which is why we always return to them, this time the whole experience was terrible, 40 min wait to take food order, some very rude staff which we have never seen before in any other ivy restaurant, food ordered wrong some not turning up at all, the staff just weren’t bothered. The manager did reduce the payment after we complained but a very disappointing experience on the occasion.
Unfortunately, it was quite a poor evening.
There had clearly been a booking mix up. We were held up getting seated and then 5 minutes in we had to be moved.
We ordered a round of gin cocktails, the fruit on one was mouldy.
The starters came, the food was absolutely beautiful but we had to wait over an hour for our main.
The restaurant was busy and there were a fair few parties in. It was clear that it was a bad evening for the staff, and that they were struggling. Unfortunately a combination of the above put a cloud over what would have been a great evening.
We would have ordered dessert as the food was wonderful, but we didn't want to wait. The staff were apologetic at the end of the evening and waived the service charge, which was a reasonable gesture.
Tables Too tightly packed outside and very noisy from the traffic, shame as food was really nice. Service was rushed and cocktails and pre starters came after wine and starters.
The waiters didn't seem to have any clue where people's orders were going and were wandering around a little aimless so when our food came it wasn't very warm! We waited 35 minutes for our first drink - drinks were very nice so wait was worth it but would've been nice if it had been a little quicker as we only had the table for an hour and a half, so didn't give us much time to order once we eventually got the attention of the waiter! Staff were very friendly but didn't seem to know what they were doing :( ambience was lovely though, very pretty place!
Nice setting and food options, let down by very inattentive and forgetful service. We struggled to get any attention and couldn’t get a second round of drinks for our meal. Requested a birthday candle with the booking which never came until repeatedly reminded. We were missing cutlery after the starter which was not replaced with the main until we got up and asked. Staff never asked how things were or if we would like anything further, just placed the food and went in an instant without a word.
Our zuchinni fritters and chips were soggy and undercooked which was a shame.
