The Ivy Soho Brasserie
Decorated with artworks inspired by Soho’s music scene, as well as William Blake (Broadwick’s most famous resident), the space is made up of a restaurant, bar, private dining room and terrace with Parisian-style seating. Open seven days a week, the modern British menu will be available from dawn till dusk for local workers, residents, shoppers and visitors to enjoy. Being located in Soho, the brasserie will have a DJ spinning music every Friday and Saturday from 7pm and on weekends during brunch until close.
The Ivy Soho Brasserie’s look and feel has been created by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio and notable features include an onyx bar, bronze pendant lighting, marble floor tiles, polished parquet and a mixture of burnt orange leather and velvet banquettes and bar stools.
Fantastic all good
Nice diner there, but as it was quite busy, the service wasn’t quite as good as last time. Still very nice tho
Love this venue and the cocktails and food were delicious, but we did have one (an anomaly!) waitress who was a little unfriendly and a side dish that only arrived (after prompting) after we had finished the mains. Our waitress did take this off the bill without us even having to ask though!
Vibrant, fun environment. Great space and place for dinner. Super service, ambience and the food was equally enjoyable.
Service was so slow, asked them to give our order otherwise no one bother to came and ask “are you ready to order”. Ordered 2 coffees without sugar but they brought us with the sugar, then waited 30 mins to get our coffee but no one brought it. No apologies nothing else!! Then we gave up, paid the bill and left the place. Wouldn’t go there again there for sure..
If you do not smoke - avoid the terrace - they endorse smoking, even cigars. Wine service very slow - food great - overall good - maybe you should sit inside if you don’t smoke - I would rather they didn’t have smoking on tithe terrace - or at leat be very clear they allow it.....
Excellent service, amazing food and a lovely atmosphere. I requested a good corner table and this was provided so thank you.
Amazing food, staff were friendly, drinks menu was also on point. Would definitely go again!
I booked a window table over a month ago to find there was no window table for my partners birthday treat. After speaking with the manager and having unnecessary drama we got a table in the window after sitting us on a table away from the window. Very poor customer service. We never have this problem at the IVY in Kensington won't be returning. You spoilt the evening.
Great food and interior to the restaurant, made for a pleasant dining experience.
Service was good but let itself down after we had finished the meal, as we were left waiting for a while with no interaction from the restaurant staff, despite some staff seeing we had been sat there a while. We considered staying for dessert, as we had time after finishing our main, but some time past and it was no longer an option, as we had a theatre show to go to. I had to leave the table and ask a member of staff for the bill. Service staff were polite and friendly, but found some other staff (dressed in suits or formal wear), who also spoke with us at the table, to be not as friendly... also comparing to other ‘Ivy’ restaurants we have dined in, where the staff were brilliant and added to the dining experience (The Ivy York in particular).
Always a pleasure to dine. Lovely food, friendly staff and great service. Took my friend there for her birthday breakfast and she loved it.
My third visit, I really like the vibe and ambience
Very fun ambience and a great place for pre or post theatre bookings.
Brilliant service and great atmosphere, all the food was great
The staff at this restaurant do everything they can to make the customer feel valued and happy. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is absolutely delicious and beautifully prepared. I really can’t praise the Ivy Soho enough, and will definitely be returning. Caters for vegetarians and vegans as well as omnivores. I highly recommend the buffalo mozzarella starter!
Good environment, the food is normal and is expensive for that quality, a little noisy too.
Brilliant as ever.
Beautiful inside and fantastic outside when sunny too.
A pleasant place to eat prior to a visit to the theatre.
Never disappoints, service is really good and so much choice on the menu. Great location and ideal before a show at the theatre
Recently booked for a friends birthday. We had a fantastic time. Gorgeous food sat in the sunshine on the terrace
Fantastic atmosphere, great food and service. Have dined here several times and never cease to be impressed by the experience.
Fantastic experience from start to finish. Friendly welcoming reception didn’t wait at all shown to a lovely table outside. Food was delicious set menu so cheap £16.50 each ! I had fresh crab cakes with a homemade salsa then to follow baked salmon with rice so tasty and generous portions. Treated ourselves to a couple of glasses of house champagne. Marvellous experience definitely going again
It was very good. The waiter for our table was a lovely young man, excellent!
Lovely food. Attentive friendly service. Lovely terrace to sit out on a sunny day.
Great service, good food, great place, what more do you need
Really poor ‘brunch’ options for someone who doesn’t eat meat or dairy, there was a vegan/veggie menu but it was mainly curry and heavy meal dishes you wouldn’t associate with brunch! Service wasn’t very well communicated, lots of repeating things to staff who didn’t seem to know what was on the menu. Something happened with the toilets, which you only found out were out of use once you’d walk in and found members of staff scrambling around cupboards!
Really nice venue. Service was bad and the waiter a little rude
Went on a Saturday night with another couple. Food was wonderful.
Service was lacking though. Had to constantly flag people down when we were ready. And when we ordered cocktails around dessert time, we waited 25 minutes and they were never delivered or ordered.
The atmosphere is very cool- they have an in-house DJ spinning live music which was cool. But because of that, it was on the loud side.
The reception staff were extremely helpful and arranged two extra seats for my daughter and friend who arrived later and joined us for drinks. They were terrific and the waitress was superb. The food was splendid
Have always enjoyed going to these restaurants. Can’t wait to go back
We went for afternoon tea. Overall the food was good but out of 4 scones served to us, 2 were not fresh (rock solid) so we asked to have them swapped. We got 3 new ones and only one was fresh... What a shame as the rest of the afternoon tea selection was quite tasty and that would have been a good value for money.
Service was average with alcohol and cake being mistakenly spill on us by 2 different waiters!
I appreciate we all do mistakes and bad batches happen in the kitchen but would have appreciated they gave us a discount on the bill or something as it was just a bit too much!
The service and food was excellent and it was nice that we were allowed to remain at our table for longer than 2 hrs. The staff remembered it was my birthday and brought out an extra desert for me which made me feel extra special. This was greatly appreciated.
Great value and good menu choices. We had the afternoon tea. Thoroughly, delicious, with a good range of savoury and sweet. Scones to die for...and I've eaten a lot of scones, so I know.
Generally we were very pleased with our dining experience, however I will say that the music was far too loud and certainly we felt a DJ and the style of music he was playing was not fitting in the least.
The volume and type of music made you feel on edge when a more gentle background music would have been more appropriate and better for general ambience.
A very disappointing experience. There were 6 of us and firstly the drinks took ages to come and all came at different times. We were then rushed by the waitress to order our food as soon as we had the drinks. The food was nice tasting but extremely small portions for the price. I had the prawn and monkfish curry which had two prawns in it. The main complaint however is that we were overcharged by £80. There were other drinks put on to our bill and when we luckily noticed this the waitress was unapologetic telling us 'it was not her fault'! The service was condescending at best and rude at worst. Its a shame as the restaurant itself has a great buzzy vibe and is in a good location. With the competition in Soho I don't think that this restaurant can live off the fact that it is the Ivy group. I have been to many of the Ivy group restaurants before as we eat out a lot in central London, but I will not be going back after this experience.
We visited on a Fri night for dinner. Great buzzy atmosphere but far louder than other restaurants in this chain. We struggled to make conversation over the House DJ. Cocktails were fab especially the Ivy gin special. Food was good but not great. One of our party returned undercooked fish. Service was slow and slapdash. Waitresses seemed disinterested / borderline rude. One spilled a glass of water into my friend’s lap & barely apologised. Still we had an enjoyable evening! Good for a lively meet up with friends but not on a par with the regional branches eg Cambridge and Guildford. Staff need to get happy and get snappy!
The food and service were good if a little overpriced. The evening was ruined by having a very loud DJ. The music was too loud to have a conversation with the person sitting next to you. It was completely the wrong environment to have loud repetitive music, if I wanted to listen to music I would go to wine bar or club, not a brasserie where I was expecting to have good food an conversation. We did ask the staff twice if the music could be turned down, but nothing happened.
The evening and atmosphere was great but it was ruined by the waitresses who served us kept rushing our food we had a 2 hour turn around and it was questioned. I had to get my phone out and show my email confirmation with small print showing we had a 2 hour turn around. Then another person who could have been a manager came over at 8.15 to tell us we had 15 minutes left. So not good service. The food, vibe and music were fantastic but the dining experience was ruined.
Perfect! We had a delicious meal and wonderful service. Would highly recommend and definitely coming back!
