The Ivy in York is a lovely place to meet friends and enjoy a long lunch. The staff were very attentive and friendly. We enjoyed our dining experience very much.

It was warm and friendly. The staff were attentive but not overbearing. They were very accommodating to my elderly mother-in-law. I like the fact that it is a consistently good experience.

Great venue, immaculate table setting, perfect service and most importantly, great food. We had roasted scallops (slightly overcooked), french onion soup (amazing!), both had blackened cod with sides of jasmine coconut rice and a medley of peas/broad beans/pea shoots. Perfect presentation and wonderful flavours of cod, soy & miso. We had desserts of ‘the bomb’ and the espresso crème brûlée. Both fabulous but I was defeated by the bomb, wonderful flavours but maybe too much cream? Would highly recommend for a romantic meal, birthday, anniversary or just because……..

Excellent from start to finish. It was a lovely treat for us. From the moment we walked in we were treated so well. The food was all beautifully prepared and presented and tasted as good as it looked.
