The Ivy St John's Wood
We always keep a number of tables unreserved throughout the day, allowing you to sample our range of café-style menus at your leisure from breakfast until late, or you can simply pop in for a drink and some nibbles – zucchini fritti and truffle arancini are amongst our favourites.
Open seven days a week, The Ivy St John’s Wood includes outdoor Parisian style street seating, and brings some of the familiarity and charm of The Ivy brand to the already fashionable St John’s Wood.
Incredibly noisy! Waiter was very poor - seemed over overwhelmed.
Excellent food but rather slow service, with the cricket on it was a busy sitting
Very pleasant as always. Well-cooked food and good choice.
Lovely evening celebrating our daughter’s A-Level results. Excellent choice on the menu, staff made us very welcome, food was delicious and we had a great time together.
Once again outstanding food and service with a smile. Lost count how many times I have been back with my partner, friends and family. Once again Phillip greeting you with a nice smile and and exudes old school charm and always on hand .Coralie also fantastic make you feel like an old friend rather than a just another customer the way she greets you is exceptional. Food is sensational and portion sizes are great as I have never felt hungry after a meal at the Ivy.
Really nice food. Reliable and consistent. In value and presentation. Would be good to have some more frequent changes to the menu
Great service and good food - just a little noisy with diners who had obviously been at the cricket all day.
Food and service as good as always. Good value. Very enjoyable.
Food was on the cold and rather bland side. Good service and a nice setting thoigh
V nice pre-booked breakfast - a cut above the norm!
A very good way to start the day before attending Lords Cricket Ground on match day.
Brought and old friend for the first time to Ivy in St John’s Wood and was absolutely blown away with welcome from Philip and Coralie and the team. We were seated on a nice round table that i had specifically requested at the back of the restaurant. My friend was impressed with the decor and seating which my friend said it made him feel as if he were in restaurant in the Mediterranean or the South of France. We sat down we ordered a delightful bottle of Malbec Wine Vista Flores Malbec 2016 which rich and ripe full of flavour and really smooth. Before we ordered our starters and main courses we treated to a delightful surprise of three glasses of excellent Prosecco on the house could not have been a better start to what ended up as an exceptional meal with service to match . Once again thank you Phillip, Coralie and all the team .
The service was great, everyone attentive and friendly. The food was lovely, we had eggs royale but one suggestion- maybe it could come without chips as it was too much and we felt bad to waste them. Otherwise a lovely
Place and thoroughly enjoyed!
Food was excellent and staff very responsive to requests. A beautiful building and nice atmosphere.
Have Dined at the Ivy St Johns Wood now multiple occasions and each and every occasion the food has been consistently excellent and superbly presented. I have taken numerous friends to the Ivy for the first time and they have just loved it as there is a lovely atmosphere and ambience . Recent visits the service has been absolutely delightful and great team led by a great manager Phillip bravo !
Will be back for another great experience!
Ordered a cappuccino that was basically a mug of hot milk... asked them to change and they did. Only other issue was muffin being very doughy/not toasted properly in eggs royale
Very nice setting. The menu is varied and average price. Wine is reasonable too.
The waitress took away our candle as though she wanted us to leave . It was only 9.45pm!
Food was good but my breat of chicken was so thin it was very dry.
Really lovely food tonight.
Nice food, good atmosphere
Enjoyed a late lunch but because it was 20/20 day the waiting staff were under a lot of pressure. Still a lovely meal in nice surroundings. We’ll be back.
Always the best experience all round . Love this restaurant
Solid Place...Love It! I really had a lovely time an my team had a great meeting.
Really excellent service and we had a lovely late lunch
Excellent waiting staff made us feel very welcome and also the guest recognition was fantastic. Coralie and Phillip always very welcoming . Phillip is amazing always smiling with guests no matter what the pressure and always comes and shakes your hand. A real old style restauranteur who you know has decades of experience. There are people in the industry who go to Hotel and restaurant training schools who wish to climb the ladder and become management trainees but you cannot beat starting from the bottom. Phillip is exceptional !
Overall, the service, food and atmosphere were good and I would go back. There were a couple of negatives, but they were handled well. My cappucino was lukewarm - they replaced this with a hot one, although this took a while. They also brought the wrong meal for me, but were apologetic and rectified it. We found our cappucinos weak - could do with more espresso.
beautiful place .... just don't go for food... very disappointing
The blackened cod was overdone and rubbery. It’s usually soft and translucent but not this time which was disappointing.
Excellent food, great atmosphere, brilliant service
Lovely breakfast. Great service and the food met our expectations. We would recommend it!
Great meal. Service and food both excellent. Would recommend
Delicious food, excellent service. We came in for a birthday celebration
Exceptional service and very friendly/helpful staff
The food is amazing and the restaurant is beautiful!
Excellent service and good GF and veggie options on the menu
Great service and delicious food. The soup was incredible
Second visit in the past two weeks and still prefect.
All was alright except a dish that was said to be infused with truffle oil but this was not perceptible. Apparently the chef had used truffle paste and seemingly had not checked it for taste
Had loved the Chelsea Gardens IVY and wanted to bring my hosts in St John’s Wood to this one nearby soon as I realised there was one. Wanted to try the shepherd’s pie, having loved the Fish and chips (naughty but delish) last week. Food was as good, which means they can replicate their excellence in other locations. Service was a bit spotty, but I think since it was a Monday, they may have been short-staffed, otherwise the suggestions for glasses of wine were perfect and we loved being there as well (Hint, they have about 5 locations in London - which I have realised is now a gourmet destination as well as being one for theatre, museums, sightseeing (even for an old London hadn like me) & catching up with old friends.
I love the ivy as a chain however this particular restaurant didn't live up to the high standards set by the other restaurants as I've been to 4 others and have got the salmon each time and absolutely loved it. I was a bit disappointed as it was very mediocre here with different vegetables than in the other places which I didn't like. I wouldn't go back to this one but staff were very nice.
1. We were given the impression that the Restaurant was full which is why our request to have a 6 pm table was not accepted and we were given a table for 5:30 pm. Turns out that majority of the tables were free.
2. Despite bulk of the tables being free, we were given the table next to the rear till register which was extremely disturbing as all the waiters/waitresses were there with the most noise. When we requested a change, some excuse was made by the waitress.
3. One main course order was not prepared. Only when we asked were we told that the waitress had forgotten. Very-very odd when there were just a handful of customers. The only saving grace was that the forgotten order was not charged.
4. In most other restaurants where we mention that it's a b'day party, a small cake+candle is brought with the desert. No such gesture at The Ivy!
