The Ivy Temple Row
Good experience overall. Table of 4 for Sunday brunch. Only downsides were one portion of poached eggs slightly over cooked, and not many members of staff around when we were trying to get the bill. But would still go back and would recommend.
The decor is stunning & worth this visit alone. I visited for breakfast with some colleagues & although the food is tasty the portions are very small. I also found that the service encroached on being rude rather than attentive.
For a venue operating & charging premium prices i dont think the food & service are up to standard.
A lovely experience with some fabulous food. All the staff were very friendly and helpful with recommendations for food and drink.
Excellent food with exceptional service. Wonderful decor. Would highly recommend
Was shocking very poor customer service and the waiters can learn to be abit more friendly not just dump food in front of you and walk away.
The food was was average.
It was a busy Saturday evening and your standards dropped !
Been to many restaurants including London Ivy and was not happy with the following:
Table for four far too small
Steak over cooked
One diner served wrong choice of steak and had to wait
Chips didn’t arrive until half way through meal
Breads came with main nor even before starters.
Poor quality for top prices
Wouldn’t rush back
We had a gift voucher for The Ivy as a wedding present, and I was thrilled it a place I always wanted to go.
Unfortunately we didn't enjoy the experience ..It was too loud we were packed in like sardines even the waitress struggled to serve. The food wasn't to our expectations either.
I wont be rushing back, sorry but your restaurant is overrated.
Very nice place, felt a bit too close to other diners though
Food was lovely great quality and well presented. I specifically booked The Ivy as a celebration for my 50th Birthday. Our friends came from to join us. I was disappointed there was no recognition of this even though I had detailed this as part of the booking. Such a shame as when we had visited for our silver wedding a month earlier we had been made to feel really special . This visit didn’t live up to our expectations.
Although we were dining at a very busy/peak time the service, drinks and food were excellent
Too flashy and over priced for a high end name.
Food wasn’t great, cocktails were average
Delicious food and reasonably priced for the standard if food and service
Nice place, pleasant staff, but felt as though we were sat on top of each other, you really are paying for the name as we came out hungry and ended up in the kebab house later that evening!! 12.5% service charge I find quite rude as we don’t know if that actually goes to the staff, so I asked to have it removed and we tipped direct to the waitress. Glad I’ve been for the experience, but will not be returning!!
Nice food nice atmosphere and décor, just terrible slow service, it was busy but when you pay above £20 service charge as well its not good enough, having to ask for drinks 3 times before they arrived, children getting restless
We were made to feel special from the moment we arrived. The staff could not do enough for us, always on hand when needed and in the back ground should they be needed. Nothing was too much trouble.
We will definitely be returning and highly recommending to friends and relatives
Great experience, 2 nd visit and the service is consistent, which is fantastic.
Was served beautifully and the food was excellent- well done team!
This was my second visit and it did not disappoint. The service is top quality but there is still a relaxed atmosphere at this restaurant. I had the salmon and smoked haddock fishcake, with side dishes of sweet potato and pea and sugar snaps. Everything was hot and delicious. I will definitely be back again.
Can’t fault the food or the service, however tables are far too close to each other so it’s difficult not to overhear conversations at the tables around you.
The service was very good and they were able to give us a table even though we arrived well before our booking time. The chocolate bomber was delicious!
Absolutely fantastic !!
Service unobtrusive but very well looked after.
Food extremely good loved it .
The food quality and taste always five star! Highly recommended!
Delicious food and fabulous atmosphere, can’t wait to return
Food quality for fish and chips was off the hook as in amazing great service via staff too
We had lovely food and especially lovely service - were were celebrating our daughter's graduation and our waiter made it a really special occasion, even bringing a celebratory pudding to say congratulations!
We had a lovely experience dining at The Ivy Temple Row. The service was outstanding and our waiter, Patrick, was extremely attentive. The food was delicious. The only problem was that the lighting was slightly too dim and it made reading the menu quite difficult, however, I will definitely be returning.
Beautifully decorated and really tastey food. The menu has a nice big selection so there is something for everybody, and the drinks menu also has a lot of exciting non-alcoholic choices which was nice to see. The staff were all so attentive and friendly, food and drinks were brought out in a good amount of time and there was a very nice atmosphere. When we were seated they asked of we were there for a special occassion so my mom told them it was for my graduation, then at the end of the meal they brought me out a small tart with congratulations written on it, which was a really really nice touch and made the celebration meal feel even more special. Will definitely be visiting again next time we have a special occassion!
The decor and service at the ivy is excellent, but for the price for the food and drink, my expectation of the food quality and taste was not met . I had a pasta dish which was nothing special and was verging on cold.
The afternoon tea was very good. Especially the chicken truffle sandwich!
Courteous staff, very welcoming. Food lovely and served very professionally. Excellent value. Will be returning.
Cool place good food decent wine list
An excellent meal spoiled somewhat by the chilled wine being kept away from the table thus relying on waitress to pour.
Amazing service and delicious 😋 food 🥘 would recommend
This is our first visit to Ivy Temple Row after our theatre show. We couldn’t fault the friendly and excellent service from the staff. However, I was disappointed to be sat on a faded and stained chair by the window. I expected quality from the Ivy. My costly starter of “Crispy Duck salad” which I was looking forward to so much turned out not crispy but soft, soggy and had only about six small pieces on the plate. I pointed this out to the waitress who apologised and said that she would let the kitchen know. A promise of more chips for our mains was not fulfilled. I don’t think I’ll visit in a hurry.
Really good service excellent food and amazing cocktails!
I love the choice of food, the service and the lovely atmosphere and the good value. It’s my favourite place in Birmingham City Centre at the moment.
Food, wine and service were excellent. We were there for lunch and it was busy and there was a great atmosphere in the restaurant. Will definitely return and would wholeheartedly recommend.
I have given a four star rating, but on reflection it deserves five, as i couldn't fault anything. Food service, ambience all great, we will be back soon!
Staff were very friendly and polite. Nothing was too much trouble. It was a lovely experience.
Great long, long lunch on a Tuesday.
Asakways you can rely on the ivy for food/service.
