The Ivy Temple Row
Wonderful meal, service was outstanding as always xxxxx
food was tasty, but only luke warm not hot. We had to ask for sugar on the table, also for salt and pepper and there was no butter with the toast. I requested granary bread instead of muffins, but got muffins i couldn't be bothered to send back and have to wait again. I dont mind paying for a premium service and top quality. But this is the second time we been disappointed. Ivy is looking a bit pretentious, they want to be the best but cant consistently deliver.
it was a bit noisy downstairs for my elderly father but the staff moved us to a quieter table. staff were fab. food excellent. decor wonderful. we had a great night. it was just a bit noisy
EXCELLENT SURROUNDINGS FRIENDLY AND EFFICIENT STAFF AND WONDERFUL FOO
Visited for lunch and chose from the set lunch menu..,, excellent food and great value for money. Service was excellent particularly from Becky.... so impressed with the pace at which this restaurant delivers lunch and doesn’t make you feel rushed although clearly very busy.., we love the food decor and ambience and definitely will return . Love it
My wife and I do ned at the Ivy for lunch on 21 August. Our overall experience was very very good. Service and food were exceptional. Really enjoyed our visit and won’t hesitate in rebooking and recommending to friends.
The food was not spectacular but average for most chain restaurants. I expected more given the Ivy reputation. You definitely need 3 courses if you are feeling hungry, portions were on the small side for main courses.
Exceptional food great service and good value if I was to criticise it would be that there are not enough £20-£30 wine on the wine list and that if the dress code is smart casual they should stick to it, 4 guys in shorts trainers and t shirts were sat on the table near us whilst most other diners had made an effort to smarten up. We did have a great evening though and would go again
Such a special place although we would do lunch or breakfast next as the city centre not the best place to be on the evening (we are in our sixties though)
Very professional but still warm and friendly. Food exactly as per menu and expetience more than just nice.
It’s a nice restaurant with a nice menu and although you expect to pay a little more at The Ivy it was definitely overpriced.
Excellent ambience, very nice food, and attentive service without being intrusive. Very good overall.
It’s not cheap, but the whole experience including the location, staff, ambiance and food is excellent. Highly recommended.
Lovely atmosphere, lively but not too noisy to hear people around the table, tables we'll spaced. Friendly staff, good service, excellent menu choices, difficult to choose as most of the dishes looked lovely. The only criticism would be that the swordfish was over cooked and had to be sent back.
I expected more from this place based on other customer reviews. The place and decor is lovely but i would say the food is somewhat disappointing based on the price. The menu is very basic which is not a problem but I think it lacked flavor and taste.
Fish and chips are to die for! lovely people very professional get what u pay for x
Very attentive staff, wonderful afternoon tea and good value. Very satisfied.
Meal and service was fantastic. Only issue was that with it being busy it was very loud. This is probably not helped with hard wood floors as there is not much to absorb some of the noise
We had a lovely meal. The food was presented well and tasted amazing. We were very pleased with the choice on the menu. The environment was very pleasant but it was very busy so we were close to other diners. That was the only down side. The service was excellent. Second visit and there will be many more.
The waiter came back 3 times to double check our order. I asked for condiments and he brought the wrong ones to the table, saying, 'I hope this is what you asked for' which it wasn't, I said no, he replied, 'really?' Not very professional and took a further waitress to come and ask what we had asked for. 10 minutes later finally got what I had asked for after having almost half of my plate of food by this point. Wasn't very impressed.
Maybe I’ll recommend
I never had a good experience
Very slow service
2hours .20 to get served starter and main
On arrival it has a very nice, comfortable feeling. We were seated on a corner edge just next to the window tables which was fine however would of preferred a table which allowed us to sit opposite to each other as appears to next to each other.
We had starters, mains and desert. I was happy with all of my meals however my husband wasn’t overly impressed with his. He chose the swordfish for his main and said there was no flavour to it and it was over cooked.
Not 100% sure we would visit again, nothing spectacular we have had much nicer meals elsewhere.
Excellent service and food. Décor is amazing. Worth every penny.
Very nice atmosphere but maybe too loud and the room felt over packed, my starter was really nice definitely would have again but my main I had the special of the day which was the veal burger it was a dry and frankly not nice. I will definitely not return again to the ivy.
Service was terrible, we arrived early and seems we were forgotten about and had to remind the hostess numerous times before we were eventually sat 30 mins later than our booking, whilst other tables were seated before us.
Fantastic, service and food nothing too much trouble. Great atmosphere. We have already booked to visit again 10/10
the service and food were good - however, noise levels far too high - the tables are too close to each other and there's no privacy which rather spoilt to experience.
Lovely lunch out at The Ivy to celebrate a new job.
Our table for two was on a cosy banquette. The restaurant was busy and had a great atmosphere, we don’t mind a bit of noise - means that people are enjoying themselves!
The food was delicious and the Gin and Tonic with the olive brine and rosemary is definitely one to try!!
Wasn't impressed with the decor. There were too many hard surfaces so the noise really travelled. Th food was really good and the service a little over attentive.
Lovely menu and food was very good. We had Georgia as our waitress and she was just excellent- really friendly and attentive.
Another fabulous visit to The Ivy Birmingham.
Everything was delicious and the staff were very attentive as always. Highly recommended for a special treat/occasion as it's not cheap but you do get what you pay for.
Great food with exceptional service. Our main waiter Patrick was very attentive. Bar staff friendly & overall ambience was lively but still intimate. Second time here & both occasions were very enjoyable.
Service, Style and deco ambiance all makes dining at The Ivy Temple Row an enjoyable experience. The food was of a high standard but I would say the money is in the overall experience and not on the plate. The atmosphere was stylish but not stuffy and the serving staff are very personable. I would recommend without hesitation.
I loved the atmosphere and the seating, along with the look for the whole place, the food was amazing
This place is a must go, food, service and ambience all spot on. Haven't had a meal off the main menu yet because the specials have been so varied & delicious. Highly recommended.
Special touch was the suprise fresh fruit tartlett for my friends birthday.
Lovely atmosphere , efficient service and an interesting menu. Will definitely return.
My friend and I come here regularly for a catch up: an early Friday night supper about once a month. We love it, have the same thing and always comment on how much it suits what we want in terms of food, price and atmosphere.
Lovely place to eat. Staff are tentative without interrupting you every 5 minutes. Food is amazing
Enjoyable as ever! Great place to meet friends and you can actually talk and hear!!! Food, service and friends - a great way to spend an afternoon! Highly recommended.
Great atmosphere, excellent service, staff all very attentive, food really good
