The food and service were great. Definitely worth the price!
Excellent, really great food. Service is excellent, understated but attentive.
Our fave love it here never had a bad experience , great service , lovely cocktails win win
Requested two vegan menus. 1 of the mains was unavailable on the menu, and the food was of such low quality. Will never be returning here again. Requested extreme spice within my order, and received a mild dish. I did make it specifically clear to make it extremely spicy. Mocktails were btec average, all style no substance. Best thing about my outing to the Ivy was the lady sitting opposite me, my wife.
Lovely food and attentive staff so very well looked after! Nice touch to provide a mini dessert to people celebrating birthdays and anniversaries!
Great food friendly service definitely recommend this place they do excellent cocktails as well
Eaten here several times. It’s located right in the middle of Birmingham about a five minute walk from New Street Station. It’s a beautifully decorated restaurant offering a range of modern British cuisine. The menu is varied and bearing in mind the quality of location service and ingredients the price can be very reasonable.
I would say this is suitable for a special occasion, business meetings or if you just want to treat yourself.
We have been about 4 times now and the service and the food has always been excellent.
Ivy as usual did not disappoint. Nicely spaced tables, very safe. Hope we can get back before Xmas.
Service and food was excellent. Drinks a little overpriced for quality.
Lovely food, attentive staff. Really nice ambience! Lots of vegetarian options too. Perfect.
It was amazing the soufflé was to die for .
My daughters 21st and they made it very special .
Chocolate bomb for dessert was light and divine .
A lovely meal (as always!) with an excellent waiter in a Covid-safe environment
Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. Quickly becoming a firm favourite 👍
VERY ENJOYABLE, GREAT FRIENDLY STAFF,HIGH QUALITY FOOD, A LITTLE EXPENSIVE BUT PROPER QUALITY.
PLENTY OF NEARBY PARKING. WILL DEFINATELY GO AGAIN WHEN THIS SILLY NOT NEADED LOCKDOWN IS OVER.
HYGENE IS FIRST CLASS EVERYWHERE. SPACING IS GOOD AND TABLES ARE A COMFORTABLE SIZE.
THE LIGHTING WAS DIMMED A LITTLE TOO MUCH SO WOULD APPRECIATE A BIT MORE LIGHT OVER THE TABLE.
A fantastic experience. A stunning venue with fantastic service.
Lovely decor, felt comfortable with the measures in place to protect the spread of covid. The food was delicious, although our poached eggs were overdone. However impressed by the service because the waitress noticed this, and brought us two new ones as a replacement. Waitress on the 2nd floor was a little rude when I asked where the toilets were. Two staff who served us were lovely, some of the others could be a little warmer.
Overall a good experience.
amazing as always! Always recommended. food and Service unreal
I came for a meal with my husband for my birthday. Lovely ambience pleasant staff but did feel that we were rushed. Asked for dessert when only just started eating main course as had to be on table by 2130.
I understood the reason why but may have been nice to had it explained to us when we sat down.
Starter was lovely but i had steak and it was chewy. We were asked if meals were ok as we were paying. Apology given by staff.
I've dined at The Ivy several times and am never disappointed.
There is always a danger in our world that people make judgement based upon looks/profiling, this can be prevalent within hospitality world where staff can wrongly judge their guests . As a 70 year old Grandfather I take great pleasure in being able to take my 19 year old Grand daughter to exclusive restaurants. I certainly sensed some misconceptions in the way we were greeted and served throughout our visit to the Ivy.
I am not sure how to counteract such judgement but it was actually an unpleasant experience on Monday.
My did have a great time at The Ivy. The food and drinks were incredible and the service was good as well.
Really enjoyed the whole experience.
My cousin is vegan and felt there was enough choice for main. Although the desert was limited.
I was given a cup cake for my birthday which was a lovely touch.
Amazing time for my Moms 50th birthday.
Would recommend
Excellent service as usual, great food.
Well made and put together.
Lovely meal and experience I would definitely return
Really lovely place. Although it’s classed as a high end place it’s not snobby or pretentious and the staff are very friendly. Will return ASAP
This was our first time at The Ivy. A friend visited and told us about it. I have always wanted to go but my husband thought that it might be too expensive and not a lot of food! How wrong he was! And now it’s his new favourite restaurant! Just as we are now going back into lockdown!! We go to Ireland twice a year to Ashford Castle which is a five star hotel and the food there is delicious but expensive. I would put this restaurant on the same level but not as expensive. Wonderful
Absolutely fantastic. Great people along with quality food.
The decour was very tastefully done and the ambience was extremely vibrant
The staff were very polite friendly and helpful.
The food menu was very varied as was the drinks menu
The pricing was very much what a restaurant would charge so there was no great surprises
I have been several times so would definitely recommend a visit
Overall, it was a good experience with delicious food. However, we had to wait 25min to be seated even though we had a reservation and another 15min someone to take our order.
Afternoon Tea with an Ivy twist - mid afternoon decadence, where the service was impeccable. The waiting staff were friendly, approachable but not overly familiar which is desirable. Can’t wait to return after Lockdown #2.
The food was lovely. The ambiance is lovely but unfortunately the service did not meet expectation.
We ordered 3 courses. The starter was slow to arrive, by which point we had been seated at our table for over 45 minutes.
The main and desserts came in a timely manner but no sooner had our plates been cleared, we were asked to vacate the table. We still had wine in our glasses.
When asked where we should go to finish our drinks, the response was we had ‘already had over our allocated seating time of 90 minutes.’
I pointed out that any over running was a service issue and through no fault of ours.
This response, I feel was inadequate and certainly left a sour taste in our mouths.
Would I visit again? No, not for a 3 course meal. For the money spent, there are far nicer experiences to be found in other close by restaurants, where customer experience is paramount.
The Ivy in my opinion is offering a fast food experience at a high cost price.
Excellent visit service from our waiter Shezy was superb already booked a return visit
Had an absolute fabulous birthday meal here. The decor and atmosphere was lovely and the food to match. I had a nice surprise with a celebration plate. Can’t wait to visit again.
Outstanding as ever under such awful circumstances.
Great food nice place. Reminds me of the Great Gatsby.
For the wonderful ambience and style of the Ivy the food was ok, the scallops were disappointing at 12 quid for a starter, being luke warm, bland and only 3 of them. The fillet steak was good, the rest average. So ok but as a fine dining restaurant I won't be back
Great setting with lovely ambiance and decor. Cannot fault the food but what makes The Ivy so special and an absolute pleasure to visit is the great service by a first class team - discretely attentive and polite - they make a good night out absolutely great !
I’ve been to the Ivy more times than I can count but I keep coming back because not only is it a beautiful place to eat, the standard of the food is always high and always consistent and the staff are genuinely the best I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. I work in catering for the National Trust it’s not remotely the same but I do appreciate all the attention to detail and I’ll be back again soon I’m sure! Thank you.
