The Ivy Temple Row
Great waiter. Harry.
Great location and atmosphere. Food, drinks and service top notch - would definitely go back
Always wanted to go to an ivy restaurant and now I've been I feel a bit deflated, we had 2 pork which I did enjoy, 1 fish and 1 fish curry which was OK nice flavours but nothing to shout about, my starter was salted tampura prawns & squid which I also enjoyed, 1 duck salad, 2 white onion soups which was just ok, 1 red wine 4 beers, 2gin & tonics £220 waitress nice and friendly, overall excperince for me.... No wow
factor don't know what the hypes all about!! 😏
Probably better to go at a a quieter time than 19:00 on a Friday night as it was rather loud and the tables are quite close together. Service was brisk, asked for a second bottle of water which never came. Waiter fell downstairs and various cutlery was dropped when clearing tables.s
The food was excellent and I really have to congratulate the waitress who was very attentive and made our meal very enjoyable
Yet another over expanded franchise operation bearing no comparison to the original.
Breakfast was over-priced and poor quality. Scrambled eggs are not difficult but lay bare the underlying (lacking) quality of both produce and chef. Same with under ripe avacado.
Do not bother with breakfast here - there are better cheaper and more pleasant options in the vicinity.
I suspect the chain though may not be with us much longer in the current demanding marketplace even for worthy restaurants......
The service was excellent with a through explanations the menu with honest recommendations. A great evening with super wine our table was perfect for the occasion and every member of our party left happy .
Fabulous food delivered with a fantastic service.
Only minor issues with the poor lighting making reading the menu a little more challenging than it needed to be.
Also the signs for the ladies and gents toilets isn’t very clear. This could be improved in order to avoid any unnecessary embarrassment.
The standard of the food and it’s presentation was exceptional. The staff in the main were friendly and accommodating, particularly Lucas and Georgia although Alice or Alex was frosty and rather rude, which I felt was unprofessional and really not necessary.
Amazing meal. Friendly, polite and proffessional staff. The decor and calmness in the restaurant made it a thoroughly enjoyable experience. Recommended to anyone who is looking for a special celebration.
Great service, warm, relaxing and always very professional. Food more than dependable
A truly unique setting. Excellent service food was amazing. Will definitely return
Lovely food, great staff but tables very close together felt cramped and that we were encroaching on other customers conversations.
I would certainly go again and it's great to see an offshoot of The Ivy in Brum.
I liked almost everything but two things: there was pigeon or partridge or something on the menu and without asking the waitress told us it would taste like chicken - ie as if we were a bit ignorant (actually I am a bit ignorant as I don't eat meat), then as she was clearing the table for dessert the waitress asked if we would like to take the remaining bread home - ie as if we are very poor and needed the bread.
Apart from that it's a welcome addition to the Birmingham restaurant scene.
I visited for my wife’s birthday. Yet another lovely experience as ever with attentive effortless service. All people feel welcome here. I love the simplicity and sophistication of the food and the place. My favourite place to eat in Birmingham in recent years. Thank-you once again
We enjoyed a lovely 25th a Wedding Anniversary meal here. Great corner table and superb food. Service was excellent and the ‘Happy Anniversary’ dessert that was brought out was a nice surprise!
It was our wedding day and the staff were outstanding so was the food. They made us feel really special.
Excellent all round. Cannot fault anything., lovely lunch time treat
The decor in the Ivy is breathtaking ordered the potted mackerel which was stunning had the steak for main which was nothing special but was enjoyable, would visit again great place to eat
Food was excellent but service was poor. Arrived at 13.30 and finally got our main course at 14.20 (we weren't having a starter). Kept having to chase up waitress and wine wasn't topped up promptly. Had a lot of wine left in the bottle after the main course.
We were meeting friends at 15.30 and had to chase dessert to fit it in.
Will think twice about going back given the poor service.
Great food, lovely way to catch up with friends will be back again soon
Excellent visit both the food and service were outstanding. Highly recommend the monkfish and prawn curry
Food was excellent, but service was very slow, waited a long time for ordering , drinks and food.
Service was impeccable. Very attentive staff. Food was good but not the excellence that I was expecting. All in all a great experience, thank you
Unfortunately, my birthday dinner was ruined by the experience. All the meals came out cold and some weren't even cooked properly. There was no flavour or seasoning to the food in all honesty. They returned one of our pork dishes raw twice! It wasn't what I expected after hearing such great reviews of the food. The manager was lovely enough to take the food off our bill and gave free drinks but we left hungry as we didn't want to risk ordering any more dishes. It was thoroughly disappointing and I wouldn't come back nor would I recommend. A birthday dinner thoroughly spoilt. But our waiter was a gem though. It seems like most people were complaining about their food not being up to the standard of The Ivy that night. Very disappointing.
Unfortunately having waited almost 50mins for the main course I was brought the wrong order . When the main was returned my wife's was lukewarm at best as I presume it had been left standing during the reorder disappointing as it had been a meal out for our wedding anniversary
Food was delicious ad staff very attentive. It was very busy on the evening visited but no delays in service.
Loved the experience and afternoon tea
Fab decor.Great ambience. Food scrummy. Just note that service is included!
Lovely lunch , amazing food and fabulous service. Atmosphere was relaxed and all staff attentive .
I have been here many times with different friends. Always good service and lovely food
Fantastic pre birthday brunch. Service was brilliant. Food was in credible. The venue was exactly what I hoped for
There was a mix up with our order, my friend ordered plain salmon & when her food came it was a steak sandwich. We then waited for 40 mins for all of our food to arrive. We were apologised to by the manager & given complementary drinks & service charge removed from the bill. I love the Ivy, the food the atmosphere & will definitely visit again. The situation was dealt with professionally by the management team
Fabulous loved it. Everything PERFECT food was delicious servoce was great decor very relaxing.
Lovely atmosphere. Lovely food. Polite and professional staff. Will come again.
Fish and chips very poor. Soggy batter chips not crisp. I
Excellent service lovely food and a lovely ambience
Excellent early dining special menu served before 6.30pn, beautiful flavours & great value.
A tiny issue - I sat at the bar waiting for my pal to arrive. Purchased & paid for a glass of wine & surprised that 12.5% service charge added on to that. Understand perfectly acceptable for table service.
Fabulous restaurant, great atmosphere with a very stylish interior. Lovely staff, food is always good - salmon, chicken & steak mains were all cooked to perfection !
Can we have an ‘Ivy’ in Solihull please ❤️
Excellent as usual beautiful food , very good unobtrusive service , lovely interior.
Staff very pleasant and attentive. Decor attractive. Two slight reservations, some of the tables are too close together and the noise level, at busy times, on the ground floor, means you have raise your voice to be heard.
