The Ivy Temple Row
A bit pricey, especially coffee. Shepherds pie had to much minced lamb, could do with more lamb pieces. Not the hottest dish. My companions meals from set lunch menu appeared good.
Couldn't fault any part of the visit - booking , service , quality of food , drinks , ambiance - everything was excellent!
Tables too close and too small , it was my second visit and the first visit was far superior !
This was our first time at The Ivy. Excellent service from the moment we walked in. Bearing in mind this was Monday lunch time the place was very full and had a very good feel and atmosphere. Will certainly be going back.
Lovely place to go for lunch , excellent service and surprisingly very good value for money .
The Ivy is fabulous. Beautiful surroundings, fantastic service and exquisite food. Why are you waiting? Just book a table!
We were spoilt for choice on The Ivy menu
- there were so many enticing starters and mains! The Crispy Duck salad was amazing (tho watch out for the chilli in there!) & Tempura prawn and squid delicious! I have never tasted better Iberico pork (you dont need any side dishes) and the Duck curry was a wonderful creation!
But then we had the Apple flan - beautifully constructed, expertly flambed at our table, so that its delicate flavour was intermittently flooded with a wave of Calvados! Do save a space for this! It's worth waiting for!
The staff are to be commended. A professional balance between attentive care but never intrusive.
Cant wait to go again!
Took my daughter, happy to see there was a kids menu. The atmosphere was nice. Busy but the right volume. Food and service was excellent.
Good food and good service
Waitress knowledgable about food and quick to recommend
A lovely atmosphere. Beautiful decor, comfortable seating.
The service was quick, the waiters polite.
Food was delicious, the restaurant services both basic English food and more exotic meals.
Fabulous cocktails, my favourite was the Cotswold Manhattan.
It is a pricey meal, so only for special occasions.
First time there after a recommendation from my friend. What an amazing restaurant food was beautiful, staff gave good recommendations and the over vibe was perfect. I am defiantly returning!
My husband and I went here for breakfast before Christmas shopping. We’d looked online and had both decided what we’d like before we arrived. When we got there, we decided to have a glass of champagne each as it seemed to fit with the occasion and ambience. We’d been given a wine and cocktail list at our table along with the breakfast menu. Disappointingly, they wouldn’t serve alcohol before 11am. Whilst I understand this, it seems a little off to give out alcohol menus, if you are unable to order alcohol during the breakfast hours. Other than this we couldn’t fault the food or service.
Waiter not too attentive.
Amazing food and excellent service. Staff could not do enough for us.
Good service but felt a little rushed. Was Saturday so will probably need a quick turnaround. Food was very nice. Will go again though.
A very nice atmosphere and excellent service. Food was served in a timely manner. Main meal and dessert were very good.
The Ivy is a firm favourite of ours.
We go for breakfast and lunch as a family of 4.
And special occasions with parties up to 20 people. Highly recommend the Ivy, the food is great along side with the atmosphere.
The staff are all very polite and accommodating
Very good service it made you feel special would definitely recommend it
Despite being full, service is excellent. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable about the food. Would definitely recommend it for a special occasion
Fabulous as always
Food & service as good as always although I would of liked a more seasonal menu
Very busy but staff were still very attentive
Decor is amazing. Staff couldn't do enough for you. Excellent service.
We had afternoon tea with champagne which was delicious.
Our only complaint is that you should have a choice between fruit or plain scones as my daughter and I only like plain.
Otherwise will definitely book again.
Soggy fish and chips and didn’t want to complain and have to wait to be re cooked.
I love this place both for lunch and dinner that’s why I have returned several times. The Christmas decorations at the front door look amazing and are great for photos.
Poor service, waitresses don’t care to engage with the customers.
No surprise plate for my step daughter’s 21st which was a shame. But a round table in the window which was appreciated.
But the service was slow and our waiter was under the kosh. Almost looked like he had too many tables to service.
Food was as good as ever, but the venison loin special was a little on the small side
Unfortunately couldn’t give five stars due to being seated twenty five minutes later than our booked time. We had the set menu and ordered the cod goujons. The fish was excellent, however the batter was very greasy and the thick cut chips were not thick and also greasy. Perhaps we were unlucky with our choice of menu.
Had the set lunch menu and had the steak at a supplement. The fried egg was hard so asked for a new egg. They went over and beyond and replaced the whole meal. Customer service was top class
Very noisy could not hear what the waitress was saying.
I would definitely recommend The Ivy but on this particular occasion I was slightly disappointed. The table was booked for 12:45 and despite requesting if the table was ready on 2 separate occasions we weren't seated until 1:15. We had to ask for the lunch time menu and despite when I booked being asked if it was for a special occasion and mentioning numerous times it was a birthday meal my friend wasn't given the 'congratulations' cake. Despite this the food was as always delicious and I will be back again
Service was great and a friendly atmosphere. But unfortunately the food whilst very good lacked the special feel you would expect for the price and the menu read more like a good pub menu.
If you are looking to spend £100 plus for two people I would recommend Adams down the road
As good as London any day... fabulous food fabulous atmosphere and very attentive service. No competition with the new neighbours!!
Very good experience, however halibut a touch over cooked, the pepper sauce was late , nowadays their is never a Madtre De , just lots of obliging staff but no leader . Where is that some one that says hello and goodbye as well.
We had a lovely meal her and the staff were very attentive and friendly and happy to explain the menu.
This is a top restaurant. I use a lot and is a great place for business lunches and with friends
Really good quality environment, service, and food. At a reasonably acceptable price.
We both were seated next to a large group who were quite loud , the waitress dropped a bottle of wine that smashed glass and contents went everywhere splashed onto my legs although waitress was apologetic tarnished our whole experience !
Very pleasant food good and service good
Food service and surroundings were lovely, only downside was that we were too close to table next To us and felt like we were competing on conversation levels , we were decelerating a 21 and they were tslking business.
Server was very efficient without being invasive. A very pleasurable meal.
We came to celebrate my wife's birthday. The service was excellent so was the food. We enjoyed the chocolate bomb for dessert. Very decadent but delicious!
We will be back.
