Lovely table but the way we were served was poor. Starters and main were all delivered to the wrong person and just plonked down in front of us. Not even ‘who’s having???’ The waiting staff reached over us all through the meal and when the mains were swapped to the right person the hot plate was ever so close to mums face. Not nice at all. It was mums birthday meal so didn’t mention anything so as not to spoil her meal. Seen better service at a vintage inn.

We always enjoy a visit to the ivy so when we received the email about the spring offer we were thrilled. The seasonal offer menu had plenty of choice and included a lot of Ivy favourites. The staff were as attentive and pleasant as always. Service was good and our evening was excellent.

Our first time attending The Ivy for my cousins birthday and it won't be my last. Excellent customer and waiter service. Food quality was excellent, as well as the ambience. We thoroughly enjoyed our food which was served hot. We shall definitely Italy book again. We'll done to all the staff

Food was a very good standard, a little on the expensive side, but saying that the quality was very high, our waiter Shezzy was so accommodating and vey pleasant, and nothing was too much trouble, will be visiting again

Excellent service from all the staff. The afternoon tea was amazing. Explained what each item was. Sandwiches were very tasty and all the cakes were divine. The juice in the little bottle was an extra treat. - very healthy. Staff checked all was ok and whether we needed anything else. The whole experience was fantastic and it was a 70th birthday treat for my cousin which I would highly recommend. Thank you

Myself and my partner travelled from London and Manchester respectively to celebrate my boyfriend qualifying as a doctor and chose The Ivy, as having previously dined in branches across the UK (myself, having dined at Temple Row a few years ago), believed that it would be a wonderful celebratory lunch. We were very disappointed by the overall experience, but mostly in relation to the quality of the food itself. We ordered from the lunch time set menu (2 courses for £19.95) plus extras. The starter (arancini as an extra and the buffalo mozzarella) was very good and we enjoyed those. Our mains however, were not the standard we expect from The Ivy. My boyfriend ordered the steak and extra peppercorn sauce, and I had the Malaysian prawn curry. The steak was of poor quality and wasn't particularly pleasant to eat. My curry was lukewarm at best and was not a pleasant dish either, as it had neither any curry sauce with it and was served with a filo-pastry Yorkshire-pudding-esque accompaniment, which did not marry with the curry. We then shared a creme brûlée, which again, was just about room temperature (though went cold after a few minutes). When I brought this up with the waitress, we were told that it cannot be served warm as this would curdle the custard. Neither myself or my boyfriend have ever been served creme brûlée at lukewarm temperature and I must question whether the statement that serving the dessert hot would curdle it, given that creme brûlée is very often served hot - and that is how we have both always had it. Neither of us finished our mains or dessert. I hope that this was a one off and that, should we ever return to The Ivy, we may have a different experience. I personally feel very disappointed as I had booked this occasion as a celebration. The Ivy is a high-end restaurant with a price tag to match and so with that, we expect excellent quality food, which unfortunately wasn’t the case.

I booked online and said I was gluten intollerant. On speaking toWaitress she asked if either was intollerant I said I was and I’d put that online. Then brought2 afternoon teas, one gluten free. Subsequently gave gluten free to my friend, only on informing us of food was it confirmed she’d given gluten free to my friend and mine contained gluten. 🤦‍♀️ Bread and scones were soo dry, brownie was inedible, shot disgusting, a yoghurt thing with bits of coconut and summer fruit coulis My friends bomb thing was dry as were scones she also found shot inedible. We both left more than we ate. £86 the most expensive and worse afternoon tea I’ve ever had
