The Ivy Temple Row
The Ivy provided a delightful dining experience for us. The service was exceptional and the menu offered a excellent selection of choices. When the restaurant is busy the noise levels are high but this is a minor detraction from an otherwise splendid evening.
We eat from the lunchtime menu and each course was superb. Crab cakes, followed by shoulder of lamb and then chocolate mousse, all cooked to perfection. Would strongly recommend.
lovely afternoon cream tea. Felt very special and great value, although the 2 glasses of champagne each did exceed the budget. Love the Ivy always feel so very special when I visit.
Very noisy and difficult to converse as a consequence. Busy despite 1.45 table booking. Had to wait a long time for food and drinks. Food only average.
The food was good but I thought the dessert selection on the lunchtime set meal menu limited.
We had a fantastic lunch for my husbands birthday - we had the lunch menu and were really well looked after - will definitely be returning
Always excellent service, friendly but focussed. Food very well presented and enjoyable. Booze prices frightening.
Great service, lovely food. Highly recommend, will defintely go again.
The Ivy is a fabulous experience all round!
We had the set menu and the food was just beautiful and such good value,
The service was second to none and the whole experience really was perfect,
Thank goodness we have one in Birmingham,
All other restaurants should take note
Beautiful decor and lovely ambience, service was very good and the food was lovely.
One of the best meals I’ve had at an Ivy. Been disappointed at Bath but this meal was outstanding.
This was My second visit and I was delighted With the service it was very busy but the food was still served quickly and the food Was absolutely delicious the staff were lovely so overall a great night out will be booking again shortly. Also I requested a window view and I had one.
Very welcoming.. staff attentive and helpful
Food was excellent .. crispy courgette was a revelation!!!
The shepherds pie more than lived up to expectation
Ambiance was excellent.. all ages smart casual to smart
A very enjoyable lunch
Very enjoyable experience, set lunch menu very good value ,good food and great ambiance although our
table of all women didn’t particularly like being addressed by our waitress as ‘girlies’ .
“Girls ‘ maybe (although preferably not) but ‘ girlies’ didn’t work for us
Booked breakfast at 10am with 3 friends. Good value in pleasant surroundings. No pressure to leave once eaten food
Staff very attentive & made to feel welcome , ambient surroundings & nicely spaced , my lamb dish was very tasty although small portion , my beer was nice but do prefer a pint from pump rather than a bottle although nicely served in ice frosted glass, would gladly go again & try more of the menu
Didn’t think much I asked for steak extra well done!! Came out raw wouldn’t go back for food again.
Great service, wonderful atmosphere and the Christmas decorations are lovely. The breakfast was great too.
Came in for breakfast and had a lovely time, was seated straight away even though we were a little early. We were asked pretty much straight away what we would like to drink and were then given time to have a look through the menu. Food order was taken then food then arrived in good time. Excellent service, will most certainly be back soon.
Had an amazing breakfast experience with my daughter which finished the end of a shopping trip off wonderfully. Thank you
Georgia the waiter was amazing, great host! Brownie points to her :)
Poor service , expensive for what us was
Very nice place, food was excellent so was the service. Cocktails were of good quality and the White Russian was excellent. I had the duck salad to start and it was perfect. Portion sizes on the starters are quite big so don’t over do it
Our 4th visit with a group of friends, as before everyones meals were excellent, no complaints! Great ambiance and consistant good quality food
I thought it was going to be a special meal but it was just ok there was nothing wrong with it and the service was good overall quite disappointing
First visit. Varied and interesting menu, well presented food with great range of flavours. Really delighted that despite the fact Birmingham and the IVy was rammed, it was unhurried and importantly there was no slippage with either service or quality of food.
Fantastic meal at The Ivy to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Service was great, food really well done (try the chocolate bombe!!!) and a really nice atmosphere. The even gave my wife a surprise dessert for a little birthday treat. Can’t wait to come back again. Recommended.
Absolutely Faultless. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel comfortable and looked after . The drinks were amazing. Food was absolutely divine. The waitress we had was incredible
Lovely experience. Food fantastic, wine good range but a little expensive.
Overall a nice venue to celebrate.
Nice meal - one issue, our table was close to the bar and front door which caused a draft every time someone came in or out of the restaurant.
We had a lovely lunch at The Ivy, Birmingham however our table was next to a large window so we were pretty cold. It took the edge of what should have been a nice afternoon.
Very busy and quite crowded but service was prompt and extremely good. The starter of wild mushrooms and potato rosti was one of the best dishes I have ever tasted, sublime.
Enjoyable place to visit with good service. A little on the expensive side but a case of you get what you pay for
Lovely food and atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely venue, always a great place to go for a celebration brunch with good friends.
Slight disconnect with the hostess staff when showing me to the bar to wait for our table. They sometimes seems to forget to come back and tell us the table is ready, so having to go back to remind them we are waiting. Happened previously on two occasions - But besides that - everything is else is great.
I love this place ate breakfast at 8.30 am. However the food was only warm.
We did put down on the booking for a celebration but this wasn’t noticed, the truffle chips were disappointing hardly had anything on them, and the main meals were small so it was a lovely evening but I wouldn’t rush to go back prefer going for breakfast
A very opulent dining experience , with top quality food, wonderful selection of drinks. Our server was very attentive and nothing was too much trouble!
We love the Ivy cafe concept, unfortunately this venue failed to deliver the usual standards and I wouldn’t rush back.
Lovely Cocktails, Fantastic Food & Beautiful decor. The restaurant was very busy and yet table service still felt very personalised and attentive without being overly intrusive. There was no feeling like we were being rushed to finish despite how busy it was.
We will definitely be going back sometime.
