Went on a sunny Monday afternoon, was pretty empty and was great to catch up with some friends. The food was great in general, but the bread of one of the sandwiches was quite dry. The environment was amazing.

I was disappointed with the way we were greeted. The 2 ladies on the front desk were dismissive towards us. We were there for my mums birthday but forced to sit on a tiny table - I felt because I had a baby and pram. I asked if I could leave my pram where they had told me to but have a table in the window (a table set up for 3). The lady said no and then the other lady said ‘because that table is reserved for an anniversary)! That table then remained empty for the duration of our visit! And who has a three person anniversary! It was obviously a lie. Enbarrassing to be treated this way when this was my present for my mum and she was standing there waiting to be seated. Luckily I then went and spoke to another waiter who kindly put two tables together for us (I knew we would t have fitted our afternoon tea on the tiny table). I had previously rung up and explained it was for my mums birthday and that we’d be having afternoon tea and the lady on the phone said she’d added that info to our booking. Just very disappointing on arrival. The rest of the service was great but unfortunately this really did spoil our visit. Wish we’d been treated a bit more importantly.

We ate a three course dinner: starter, main and dessert. The starters, a beef tartar and duck liver pate were fantastic. The roast chicken and the shepherds pie were also great and well made. I chose the chocolate bomb for dessert and it was a miracle. After a hot toffee sauce was the chocolate melted and united with the cold vanilla ice cream. We drank a bottle of chilean red vine, it was good choice. The final price was over 110 £ with services fee, but I think it was worth it. The staff were very kind and polite. I can recommend it to everyone.

We found the noise level was very high in the riverside of the restaurant but when we asked to be moved to a quieter area the staff rapidly found us a table in a much better quieter and brighter area. Food and service were fantastic!

Food was excellent, and the location is superb. The service however was absolutely appalling. Lots of staff milling around aimlessly and no-one willing to manage them. I couldn't recommend this restaurant - sadly because it should have everything going for it.

This was not my first visit to The Ivy. I certainly have and would recommend it to friends. My husband and I were there on Saturday night to celebrate our birthdays and we very much appreciated our little happy birthday treat with a candle at the end of our meal - thank you!

I would like to make one suggestion regarding your menu. I have three serious food allergies: fish, nuts and mustard - I made this known and was well looked after by our waiter; however almost all of your starters contain fish or nuts. - These are not uncommon allergens and some additional choice would be good.

Six of us booked for Brunch on Saturday as we had really enjoyed a previous visit
and everyone wanted to return. Food and service excellent once again with delightful welcoming staff in lovely surroundings. Very enjoyable, just sorry it was quite a brief visit as we were returning home but will very likely come back for an evening meal on our next trip to London.

Great atmosphere, we were given a nice window seat with views of the Tower of London and Tower bridge. Nice selection of food. I chose the lobster which is highly recommended but be sure to use your napkin as it does splash. Got the lovely juices all over my white shirt. But that did not takeaway from the experience. :) smiles all round

It has the most fabulous views and a great buzz but the asparagus was under cooked and the only good thing about that is I know I would have cooked it better, although the sauce was great.
However the fish was good and the mushy peas were fantastic.
The burger was very unexciting.
The staff were wonderful

I love this Ivy in Tower Bridge, one of my favourites. Staff are so nice and accommodating.

Usually I stick to the same dish but the waiter recommended the pork and it didn’t disappoint.

The salad for started was so yum!

Fab night, thanks to the staffs as always.

Lovely location and once inside the ambience was good, buzzing yet controlled. We ordered the courgette frittes to share before starters as we were all starving and they were delicious as was the rest of the food. Service was good all night and we weren't rushed - all in all a great night.

We had a lovely welcome ! Decor stylish !
It was incredibly noisy - to be fair it was prime time on a Friday night - however it was difficult to heard at times !
Service was ok - we had to ask for our wine to be filled on several occasions then asked for our wine to be bought to our table, so we could serve ourself ! At no point were we offered water with our meal - which I think should be standard practice where ever you eat !
The food was lovely - but the atmosphere chaotic - I’ve been to several Ivy brasseries before - but this was my least favourite experience . It was a treat for my husband birthday - I’m not sure we would return at this time of day again for a romantic meal .

You know what you're going to get at the Ivy. The food is OK, but not exceptional, but the ambiance is pleasant. The menu is a bit dull and never changes - but if you have a group of fussy eaters (and we did) then it works well as you can be sure what's going to be on offer. Staff are friendly enough, not too intrusive. Is not as good a restaurant as it thinks it is, but it's good enough

The noise level was deafening. The waiter introduced himself but his staff took over from there. Table of 4 had 2 hrs to eat. Waited too long for drink orders which resulted in our not being served desert because we had to vacate our table.

Like this Ivy better than the Chelsea and Kensington branches we have visited. Standard is slightly down
from our first visit two days after opening last year. Small tsble but with good view of Tower Bridge and
the lawn between Restsurant and the River . Reasonably quiet tsble especially after screaming infant
finally taken out by its mother. ( separate area for children would be an improvement ),
Enthusiastic young Italian waiter and food and wine excellent. Particularly enjoyed the sea bass dish.

A ideal place for taking visitors to London with the view of Tower Bridge. I ordered the burger and paid teh extra £1.75 for cheese, which turned out to be the smallest blob of cheese hidden inside the burger. The burger only game win well done too. Overall the burger was ok, but nothing special and quite pricey for the quality. Perhaps other dishes are better.

First disappointing visit to an Ivy cafe. Shepherds pie was gristly. Our starter of tempura prawns and squid consisted of 90% over cooked squid with 2 prawns. Decor and service good as ever , but are they cost cutting on quality of food?

Amazing view . Staff as always attentive but not in your face. Do not rush you . We arrived for lunch 2pm and left at 7pm after lovely lazy afternoon
Special lunch for birthday with rib eye and lobster . Great cocktails. We both thoroughly enjoyed . Never had a bad time there . Also recommend their cocktails and afternoon tea.

Overall, the dinner was great, with delicious food, splendid ambience and friendly staff. However, I was hugely disappointed because although in the booking I highlighted the fact that this is a special congratulations-celebration dinner for my partner, we didn’t receive any symbolic treat, which I know is normally given to people in Ivy, who celebrate special occasions.

We had a good meal here. However, I am beginning to feel that with`Ivy's popping up all over the place, this establishment is becoming a chain not dissimilar (or indeed more special) than somewhere like `Cote'. All food was nicely cooked, service was acceptable, but it wasnt really an out of the ordinary dining experience.

The Ivy has a reputation for being quite pricey - however, I went for a birthday brunch with my friend and was pleasantly surprised by the range and value of the menu.

We both had some form of poached eggs - which were cooked to perfection with a delightful orange yolk. They do not skimp on portion size!

The cocktails and mocktails were delightful.

The food was excellent and to be recommended.

Where we were sat in the restaurant was adjacent to the service station which is a bit of a poor design as it becomes very noisy (servers crashing around with cutlery etc.). Sadly on this occasion the service was very poor and perfunctory. Our waiter obviously wanted to be somewhere else and there was zero engagement. At the end of the meal he almost threw the bill down when we asked to pay. Shame as my most recent Ivy Brasserie experience at the outlet in Soho was exemplary from start to finish.
