The Ivy Tower Bridge
With interiors designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, the two-floors restaurant will offer guests the choice of dining within the restaurant, enjoying the view from floor to ceiling glass windows, or outside on the Parisian-style al fresco terrace seating 50 and overlooking the River Thames.
A wonderful experience and view! Service was very fast
Well prepared food, albeit tiny portions, located across from the Tower of London so naturally comes with a high price tag . The service was okay, but we waited a long time to catch a waiter when we wanted some coffee or when we wanted to pay, making our stay unnecessarily long. Beautiful place though.
Lovely location, excellent service and tasty food! Our second visit and certainly not our last.
They did use to have an upstairs dining area which was more suitable feel for the price you pay. Downstairs is more like a cafeteria with table cloths and the first table we were shown was small and very low with low chairs. Not a suitable dining table at all. They did change us to another, but be careful when booking to ask for a dining table.
Service sketchy, steak arrived over-cooked so I ended up eating after my dinner partners. Also the wine we were drinking was not served by the glass so I needed to order a whole bottle to take go with my delayed steak (I did ask if by the glass was possible), so I would recommend only to start with wines served by the glass.
Food was ok otherwise, the seafood curry was very nice, but certainly the whole experience was not a match to the price.
Had a lovely meal here for my graduation. We were seated at a lovely table by the window and I was given a complementary dessert. Servers were very friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend for occasions! :)
Another wonderful evening at The Ivy! The food and wine were superb. Our waiter was excellent and looked after us very well. A beautiful view of the City skyline and Tower Bridge. Most definitely recommend and will return soon!!
Inexperienced wait staff. Food was served cold. Disappointed in the experience.
A good restaurant in a great location with a sensational view. The salmon fish cake was good along with the breaded chicken escalope but the miso broccoli was poor and lacking in any of the flavours that drove us to select it! Service was very slow although it was our waiter’s first night and you are seated very close to the adjacent table. It’s a reliable place to go for a good meal but given the local competition and the prices I feel it needs to up its game a bit.
I come here often but usually in the week. First time for Sunday lunch and service was noticeably slower and less attentive than the norm. Food up to standard and a good table.
Great location. Reception staff were polite and courteous and we were pleased that they accommodated our request to change table for a special birthday celebration. The waiter had noted my request and very kindly delivered a small dessert treat for my birthday. However, service staff were (a) a little forceful in continually asking us to place an order, and (b) we then struggled to get anyone's attention when we required drinks or something further. We appreciate the restaurant was busy so this is expected but we found the continued requests by two separate waiting staff a little too forceful in hurrying us along.
The food was super fresh and delicious. Parts of our order were missing and thwy brought out as soon as possible. The eggs were cooked to profection and great portion sizes and value for money. Beautiful views of tower bridge if your sat near the window
Good atmosphere and food good but bit over priced and drinks took ages
Had requested window table phoing TWICE arrived on time no table by window said if we didn t mind waiting and would accomodate window table -45 mins went by until we were called through NO WINDOW TABLE! Very disappointed as had already said was for special birthday -very noisey not relaxing at all could not wait to get out and we were a table of 5
I usually love The Ivy restaurants but honestly I wouldn’t go back to this one.
On arrival we were sent through to the non existent waiting area standing around people’s tables...
after 5 mins or so of just standing around we went out and asked what was going on so I assume as some sort of punishment were given a hideous crammed in table by the clearing area!
We ordered drinks the waitress had no idea what was what so had to just put them on the table for us to test!
Service from there was just rushed with no interaction or interest side dishes missed started plates left ... blah blah
Even at the bill stage not once did anyone ask if the food was ok or if we had enjoyed the meal. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary with friends and chose to just get out of there - we went else where for dessert and cocktails anywhere but staying there!
So many amazing places in London pick a better option than we did ...
A previous visit had been excellent. This time 2 mains arrived with 5 sides, after a long wait the manager told us there was a problem with the other 3 mains on order. All the food on the table was returned to the kitchen and eventually all the mains arrived with some of the sides, the waitress had to be reminded that other sides had been ordered.
We have eaten at other Ivy Grills and had a great time. This was a very disappointing way of celebrating a family birthday.
Great menu, very good service but the whole experience spoiled by a VERY LOUD Hen Party nearby. Surely your staff could ask them to quiten down.
Great location next to the Bridge Theatre with good views . Very loud
I’m always put off by places where the food arrives 3 minutes after you place your order. Mediocre, brasserie style food. Very, very noisy and tables are really crammed in. Felt very rushed. The waitress we had however was excellent - friendly and attentive, can’t fault her.
A lovely restaurant and meal although we were in a very busy area and it was often difficult to hear each other speak. It was our second time at the Ivy, previously we were in a quieter position and it was better for our group
Excellent service, staff were attentive and friendly. Food was lovely and the atmosphere was very nice.
Lovely staff, lovely vibe weren’t rushed out of the restaurant and had time to actually enjoy the meal would highly recommended food is delicious.
It was great sitting outside with a view over Tower Bridge. The service was attentive and the fish and chips very tasty.
Compared to some other Ivy’s that I have been to (York and Cambridge) this ivy is tightly packed with tables and it makes the experience uncomfortable to say the least.
They are very much trying to get tables turned over quickly.
Disappointed over all. Same food but service was rushed and I would not recommend this ivy to anyone.
Asked for table by the window for a special occasion - got put on a table behind a station where the staff congregate, all we could hear were their conversations. A lady who appeared to be one of the managers was reprimanding staff quite blatantly and in an abusive manner. We were left for a long time before anyone took our order. Restaurant was far too hot - no air con seemed to be working!
Had put a note on booking to ask if a birthday cake could be provided, nobody got back to me about this, and nothing was mentioned on the day. Extremely disappointing experience and an embarrassment - as I had planned this for my Sisters birthday. Wouldn't return and wouldn't reccomend to others.
The service was slow. The food was cold and dishes served at different times. Items forgotten
Our 4th visit to an Ivy, twice Covent Garden and now twice here, and loved it each time,
Service and ambience is excellent and the food is delicious, will definitely be back
Terrible service ! Took over 2.5 hours for one course Good food , great location
A lovely place for a lunchtime treat. We asked to sit outside as they weather was beautiful and with a 3 minute wait we were seated under the canopy at the front and the atmosphere was perfect.
Great food and staff lovely view. Would recommend to anyone
Had a lovely time with my family. Great service and food and an excellent view.
Arrived a little early and was told no spaces even for a drink. Come back later. Then when allowed in for a drink I had to flag down waiters to get served. One drink in 45 minutes. Ended up going to the bar to ask for a glass of wine. Then despite requesting a table outside (half an hour ahead of time) we were shown to a quiet table at the back with a view of the yard behind the restaurant - not the riverside. Food was good but you pay for it. Don’t think I would risk this for a special occasion - too random.
Staff went out of their way to seat us inside by the window as requested. Gave us a corner table for 3 people with a view of Tower Bridge. Could not have been a better birthday celebration. Wait for food was rather long but it was delicious. Everyone was pleasant.
Beautiful location, amazing food, some good staff. Some definitely not so good staff. Multiple things I could point out that I do not usually have an issue with but this visit was on an important occasion so I expected the day to continue fantastically, especially at a place like this. Such as taking plates away without asking whilst people are still eating, general very unnecessary attitude to be honest, forgetting things, and I asked a simple question at the end for the benefit of the waiter who confused the whole table with his abrupt response. I have dined for lunch on a prior occasion at the Marylebone restaurant and thought it lovely, so will visit there again in the future. Tower bridge not so much. Nonetheless the food was fantastic. I am not one to moan or leave reviews period, unless I truly believe service was outstanding or not so much, I left this one as the occasion was important for me.
The Ivy Tower Bridge has an amazing view and I'd recommend it for that along. But having dined here several times previously with great success, on this occasion I and my 2 companions were disappointed with the quality of the food, and a little disappointed with the service we were provided with but our waiter did confess to it having only been thier first week in the post.
Lovely waiter, but terribly slow service. Constant asking where our drinks were, if we could have our deserts, the bill......
Very average food compared to experience of the same dishes at other Ivy cafes. Tiny escalope Milanese with three small tomatoes. Ice cream scoop was nearly all melted and very small. Very disappointing.
We have dined at The Ivy Market Grill in Covent Garden on a number of occasions when we visit London and have thoroughly enjoyed it so we thought we would have a change and visit Tower Bridge. We were very disappointed though. The service was very slow and the staff weren’t very attentive. We had to ask twice to have our wine glasses filled. Also we usually visit for a birthday celebration and have always been given a small cake with a candle in but this time we didn’t and it was mentioned when I booked the table.
All in all it was a very disappointing visit.
Worst service I have ever experienced. Waitor forgot to put order of one of our main courses through, had a glass of wine knocked over all down my leg whilst waiting over an hour for main course to arrive and no apology.
We usually visit the Ivy Tower Bridge pre-theatre (the Bridge theatre is next door) and that was the case again recently. As ever there is a good pre-theatre menu with plenty of choice and this is served efficiently when they hear that you are going to the theatre. The ambience is pleasant and the staff are helpful. We would recommend it.
Food was good quality and imaginative for a pre-theatre set menu. Good value. Service balanced style with a genuinely friendly approach.
