The Ivy Tower Bridge
With interiors designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, the two-floors restaurant will offer guests the choice of dining within the restaurant, enjoying the view from floor to ceiling glass windows, or outside on the Parisian-style al fresco terrace seating 50 and overlooking the River Thames.
Food was good; server was the least friendly I’ve almost ever had.
I’m loathe to wax lyrical as too many fantastic reviews will make it difficult to get a table! We had a fabulous evening - food and drinks were all outstanding. One - tiny - criticism was service: tolerably slow but lovely, so we didn’t really mind!
Food was very good but the portions was a bit on the smaller side for some dishes.
I took two friends from out of town here, as they only had one night in London on their vacation, and we had a great time. The service was fantastic, the view is unbeatable and it made for a really great night. I'll recommend it to anyone who wants a great night at a top-notch restaurant.
Set menu was both delicious and good value at £21.00 for a three course meal. Combined with two glasses of wine, a bottle of water and service charge the bill came to £73
Will be returning
Excellent location, staff super friendly and attentive. Only slight negative was food took an hour to come out- this was rectified with king good will gesture of free coffee and desserts.
The location is amazing and the staff very attentive. However I was disappointed in the food and for the cost I was expecting a lot better.
Lovely brunch experience. All staff were friendly and welcoming, yet professional. Food was delicious, especially the chocolate bombe desserts! Drinks great too.
Slightly expensive for us, but worth it as a pre-Christmas treat.
Great setting with fab views of Tower Bridge. Lovely bar for pre drinks but kept us waiting too long.
lovely atmosphere nicely decorated staff were lovely .Food was nice
Great place to eat a reasonably priced excellent meal with great views of London.
I went with my partner for his 50th Birthday. We were seated at a table with a great view. The food and service was outstanding up until we were approached by a member of staff with the card machine in his hand saying people were waiting for our seats and payment was required. The table booking was for 2 hours and we still had 20 minutes left and we had already paid our bill. There was no apology and unfortunately after such a lovely evening the end rather ruined it.
Service and feel of restaurant was superb. Starter was prawn cocktail and soup which were delicious, however our mains, minute steak and salmon were average and quite forgettable which was such a shame.
The table we had was in the middle of the main part of the restaurant and it was full and extremely noisy. There was no problem in changing and we had a much quieter table.
Food, drinks and service were all great until we had finished our main course when no one came over to clear or ask if we wanted anything else. Eventually I manage to catch someone's eye and we got the bill. Seems like at 19.20 a lot of people want to leave. Hardly a surprise as the Bridge theatre is immediately next door. They need to be a bit sharper at this time.
A lovely venue for a pre-Christmas meal out. We had two children with us who were well-catered for and welcomed. Food was good, only slight gripe was that the children's meals did not come with any veg.(Would it kill them to offer peas or broccoli with a main meal?) Food choice good and puddings superb, mainly the chocolate bombs! Fab view of the bridge, Tower and City.
Fantastic views of Tower Bridge. Beautiful decor inside. Wonderful vegetarian menu.
Lovely atmosphere and spectacular view across the river to the Tower and of Tower Bridge. Good food as expected from The Ivy
A very nice place to grab a cocktail! Definitely try the Royal as it what a signature cocktail should be. Btw, you know you’re in a special place when the restaurant has a signature cocktail that doesn’t need to be pushed by the staff but by other customers. On the flip side, service was a little unconcerned, but overall an amazing experience
Service was very slow at bringing and settling the bill but apart form that lovely as always!
The front of house staff were not focused or interested in the arriving or departing diners; so compared to my trips to Chelsea Garden and Marylebone this year - that was a poor experience.
Our waitress was lovely, a bit forgetful but she did have a few busy tables to cover so that was understandable.
The Maitre D who advised us that we needed to give the table back could probably benefit from a lesson or three at a smile school.
The best thing about the Tower Bridge location is the view.
I booked the Ivy, Tower Bridge for a special meal with two friends who’ve known each other for more than 30 years. We really enjoyed our visit - lovely atmosphere, attentive staff, delicious food and good value for money and an excellent location, especially as night fell.
Thank you so much.
We’ll be back.
Great location - views across to Tower Bridge - for pre matinee lunch - food and service very good. Only gripe was noise level - tables in the back of the restaurant are quieter, But no view.
I repeated again my dinner on ivy with my family, great service. I will come back again.
Nice table felt rushed though. Dodd average but overall a nice experience
Won’t be visiting this branch again! Too busy, too noise, too touristy ( visit the Victoria or South K - 10x better! Very disappointed :-(
Lovely setting but the menu has not changed in years/ever so as I’m vegetarian there is only one option. I appreciate it was a Friday in December but the service was very slow
It was a brilliant evening food was great and the service was outstanding thankyou
Everything was wonderful. Not too many veggie options also we were told after an hour that we would have to give our table as they have other waitings I don’t know if it was because we were sitting near the window table and they wanted that but when you go in such fancy restaurants you don’t usually tell your customers to leave soon. I was celebrating my bday with my friend and she arrived late so i think appreciate that gesture
Lovely view watching the lights coming on over the city as it got dark. Lovely ambience and very good value champagne tea!
Great location quite expensive but worth it for a special treat
As ever, the Ivy experience is just right. Friendly service at acceptable prices with cooking that is generally good. A couple of the dishes came to the table more tepid than warm.
We went for our office Xmas lunch. Staff friendly and food was great. Glad i found this little gem.
Lots of character, great food and service. Would recommend
The food very good and well presented.
The service from the majority of the staff was great and welcoming which I think is almost as important as the food.
Noise level was fairly high due to numbers of dinners at the venue.
Where we were sat was in a draught due I think to the air con which was cold. It was off-putting but was not a real problem but a nuisance and distracting. If we had been at a different table i suspect would not have been a problem. We did mention it to the staff but I believe it was not in their control as it was not resolved by the time we left.
Overall it was a very enjoyable experience and one which we will return to.
The food was very tasty and well presented and the service was excellent. My friend and I had a lovely table overlooking Tower Bridge. It was a great experience that we look forward to repeating.
As this was our Christmas lunch we both loved the festive feel of the restaurant. Very tastefully done and certainly added to our enjoyment of The Ivy Tower Bridge.
Amazing view, good service and overall enjoyable time.
Waiter was very accommodating to our requests.
We needed to have paid and be away by 19.00 and we were! Excellent prompt helpful waitress and lovely meal. We had a table down the side so no beautiful view of Tower Bridge and Tower of London but relaxing and peaceful. Thank you for good beginning to a lovely evening in PreChristmas London!
I loved it the atmosphere at the ivy is great also the views of Tower Bridge Tower of London are a bonus. The ivy shepherd pie is so tasty just needs to be a bigger portion😀
Warm welcome and very attentive service from the word go. Great view of river and city. Something for everyone on the a la carte menu (and the set lunch looks great value) but we chose the specials which were elegantly presented and delicious. Will be back again soon.
Overall the experience was amazing. The staff were friendly and very helpful whilst remaining very professional. Unfortunately there was a flaw which was that i found
the signage for the toilets and cleanliness therein well below standard. The Washroom sign above the doors did not appear obvious at first, perhaps because i had been looking for Ladies and Gents signs more prominently placed on the walls at a more visible level. Having then by chance found the door to the unmarked accessible toilet, i discovered the toilet itself to be dirty and marked. Being a lady of a certain age and in need i continued but then discovered too late that there was no loo paper and no spare roll available. Certainly not an experience i would expect in any establishment, but very surprising and disappointing in a restaurant of this calibre. I coped but i dread to think of the distress it could have caused in different circumstances.
