Good food and very good service in a top location
I was running late due to London traffic and called to let them know, twice, no one answered. I arrived and didn’t even bother explaining what happened. I was seated. The food was good. The place is beautiful. The service not so much. The woman that served me had an attitude and she was cold. She offered vegetables with my Shepard’s pie and I said no thank you and she scowled at me. I’m sure there were nicer servers there perhaps she was not the best. The food, ambiance, and location was amazing though
Good food. Reasonable prices. Excellent location
Very cozy place. Nice food and very fine service. I will diffidently come back
We reserved a table for two and informed that we can only have a table if we have “substantial” food not drinks or appetizers. I assume the restaurant management can estimate how much customer would spend on drinks vs food by just looking at the customer. I was offered to review 50-page long customer policy by the manager when I asked what my rights are as a customer bc they are denying me a table only bc of their “policy”. I was also asked by the manager how often I come to the restaurant when I said I am a good customer living in the neighborhood. I assume I was not believable enough as the manager responded she has never seen me. Now she can be sure she will never we see me again. Anyway the manager to her credit then offered us another table in the bar section to resolve the situation and the night ended okay. However all that drama n stress would have been avoidable if the manager approach the situation with a mind of solving a problem for a customer vs offering to connect me w the head office and read the lengthy customer policy.
A mishap in the kitchen meant our main courses took 40 minutes to arrive after our starters but they made up for it with some free coffees.
Lovely venue, particularly if you’re going to Bridge Theatre. I had chicken & my husband had shepherds pie. Both excellent.
For once really good service at an Ivy Cafe!
Booked a table midweek at 2pm. On arriving it was very busy and were worried the service would be slow, but it was very efficient and friendly. Everyone really enjoyed their food and the bill was very good value. Fantastic view of the Tower so really great experience all round.
Very nice pre theatre lunch here with friends. Food and service was excellent and very good VFM. Only negative was the place was a but chilly and perhaps a little bit noisy but that was just because everyone seemed to be having a good old natter not because of unnecessary background music like the Ivy in Ken High Street.
Lovely venue. Service is what I expect at an Ivy. The food has lost a bit if it's uniqueness, but always well prepared and fresh.
Normally have had very enjoyable evenings at the Tower Bridge Ivy but on this occasion the service was poor, very slow at bringing the drinks, which was not the waiters fault but the manager. He simply forgot us until he was prompted (by us), no apology offered. Merlot wine was poor. Bread arrived with main course. Dinner average. We went from no service to feeling rushed after the main course. Disappointed as I recommended the Ivy to the friends I was with. It used to be one of my favourite venues and perhaps it was an off night as they were busy, although not excusable. Sadly my friends were not impressed which is a shame.
Excellent food and service. Great table awY from noise do we could have greAt conversation.
Wonderful experience! We had a fantastic table with the best views over the river and Tower of London. The service was excellent, very well organised in a busy environment. The noise was a ‘happy vibe’ with lots of getting and laughter. Our food was excellent, fish well cooked and lovely cocktails and wine to accompany it. We would definitely recommend, and will return next time we are visiting :)
We really enjoyed the Ivy, it has a lively buzz to the place reflecting that people were having a good time over pre-theatre dinner or just early dinner, as we were. After a slowish service start, for which apology was made, the service was attentive but not fussy. The food was as I have come to expect from the Ivy and the wine choices suited the menu. My only complaint was that the restaurant was not quite warm enough and noticed that others felt the same. Overall, a very enjoyable, top quality and good value dinner.
Lovely restaurant with good food and great service and amazing location
As always our lunch at The Ivy was fabulous although it was the first time I have ever been asked to vacate the table even though the restaurant was empty and many table already laid for the evening service. It seemed a strange thing to do when it was clear we were still in the mood to drink and chat.
Location right next door to The Bridge Theatre: ideal! They understood need for meal to be served quickly (ironically, the creme brulee took ages, and yet it was cold!).
Great food. Service was good but starter and main course was brought out very quickly making the evening feel rushed and that had eaten too much in short space of time. Courses need to be spread out better.
STAY AWAY !
Very , very bad and unfriendly service . This applies to all staff members .
Food is nothing special , imagine basic restaurant food but in gourmet sizes (very small).
You cant even see the bridge from inside .
Your money will be better spent at mcdonalds
Cocktails were weak
The intermediate service - wine service poor, cutlery service poor
And main wine bottle not served and water not topped up.
food excellent though and main waiter was good
Also £30 bottle of wine was rather rough
It was our 7th anniversary and we requested a table with a good view, and they didn’t disappoint! Had a lovely window table overlooking Tower Bridge and the city’s sky scrapers all lit up against the night sky - it was perfect.
The food was amazing and the service was the best we’ve experienced - very tentative staff!
It was our anniversary we had a very nice meal would go back amazing
Really enjoyed our meal at The Ivy Tower Bridge. Food was lovely, staff very attentive. My only problem was our table for two was very close to the next table, ward hard to have private conversation for us and for those at the next table.
Lovely meal. Only crit; inadequate veggie selection on main menu , ( shepherds pie) and that was already off. Had to ask for separate menu for my friend. Otherwise all very good. Lovely waitress.
I would not use this as a pre-theatre venue again as it was too rushed. The waiter, unnecessarily we thought, made us concerned by saying that 90 mins might not be long enough for 2 courses (starter and main). In the end, the timing was OK, but only just. The starters were very good but the mains were just OK we thought.
It took is over 2 hours to have one course and took 30mins to get our drinks
Food was ok but I came away feeling decidedly let down. Other Ivy’s we have visited were much better
Afternoon tea very good value for money! Service was great
This is the second time I have had lunch at The Ivy Tower Bridge and it was just as good as the first time. The food is lovely and service excellent. I think the price is reasonable considering the restaurant and its fabulous location.
Beautiful place. Great view. Dress code is not enforced ore hoodies and sweat pants are considered Business Casual. Menue could have a few more options and the portions are not that big. I belive the price come with the location.
I liked it even though i did not get my window seat.
Really enjoyed it, great food and service and whilst it is not cheap I thought it’s very reasonable for the Ivy brand. Definitely will go again.
Disappointing. They didn’t have our table ready at the booked time. Service was rude and inattentive. At one point mixing still and sparkling water and then not bringing fresh still water until the second time of asking, which itself took 10 mins. Fish was watery which affected the mayo. And don’t order olives for a table of four if you all want to have at least 2. I’ve been to some lovely Ivy’s. Sadly this wasn’t one of them. To top it all off, after noting that they wouldn’t be held responsible for losing anything in the cloakroom - small print on the ticket after you’ve given your items to them - it took them 10 mins to find my friend’s hat. Great that it’s next to the Bridge Theatre but I’d suggest there are other better places nearby.
Absolutely disgusted with the way we were treated you need to speak to your manager Andy if that’s what his name was he was not professional at all I will never ever be coming back and the food was terrible considering what we paid. Will never recommend this restaurant to anybody. Being told your getting the bill now because we need the table back is disgraceful not when your spending nearly £300.
Food and atmosphere was amazing!! But after our food meal was delivered no one checked in with us and we never spoke with staff again until 30 minutes after our meal was finished
We really enjoyed this restaurant for a special family birthday. It was relaxed but a little bit formal at the same time which suited us well. We were very well looked after by the staff and the food was excellent - particularly good for us as all 5 of us are not meat eaters. We had plenty of time to enjoy the occasion beginning at 5pm booking through to 7.30pm - it did not feel at all rushed. The only slight issue we had was that our table had not been set for 4 people not 5 and the pepper grinder had zero peppercorns in it! Hardly a disaster. Both these things were quickly resolved. Would highly recommend The Ivy, Tower Bridge.
Great food, view and atmosphere!! Can’t recommend enough
Great view, great dinner, service cautious to serve at the right time, fine food, great moment.
We had a lovely pre-theatre dinner, the staff knew our time-table and kept a close eye on foor and drinks, which meant we could just relax and enjoy ourselves as we were two couple having a good catch-up post-wedding evening out - loved it all and in the original Ivy spirit lined to theatre
Always lovely. This is one of my favourite places. The location and views are superb and so is the service and menu.
